Some of his earliest memories involve a massive creature burrowing through the ground and destroying entire cities at once. He wasn't necessarily scarred, but that even most definitely traumatized him and affected his later choices and lifestyles. Jayce managed to sneak on board one of the ships bound for Vailor, watching the land burn behind him. It took a lot of effort to stay hidden for as long as he did, but when the ship reached land, Jayce reached a problem: He was entirely homeless. After a long time of wandering around hungry, the young boy was taken in by Yvaine and Gemini : a young human couple living in the western parts of Oren. It was clear to many people he met that Jayce wasn't purely human, but he himself wasn't aware of it until much later in his life. Jayce was easily frightened and didn't often take kindly to help outside of his usual environment. Jayce grew up in a secluded town towards the south end of Adria. Having spent most of his childhood relatively close to the Cloud Temple, Jayce was exposed to many myths regarding the Temple Monks. His one goal in life was to find logic behind the Monks' ability to create a body for a lost soul. Even though he knows it's impossible, he still retains his childhood dream of one day meeting the Temple Monks. Of course, there are many people in his hometown that ridicule him for it; it's not something he would usually take to heart. Jayce lived a relatively happy life for the duration of his early childhood. Around the age of 14, his foster parents were expecting a baby. Everything was perfect until Jayce's foster mother, Yvaine, died in childbirth. Neither Yvaine or her newborn daughter survived; much to Jayce and his father's distraught. Jayce's father Gemini, spiraled into madness through excessive drinking and gang fights. Jayce left his hometown in search of a new place to live. After spending 2 years in the wilderness, his goal is still to reach Istria. Personality Traits: Timid, Somewhat of a pacifist. Ambitions: Studying the Temple Monks Strengths/Talents: Has an ear for music and an eye for symmetry in building. Weaknesses/Inabilities: Though he is an extremely quick sprinter, he has no knowledge in combat whatsoever.
