  3. Mira would shed a tear, remembering her Snow Elf friend, Feta Krafeh. "How can anyone be so cruel?" She'd ask to herself. "They just wanted to be left alone, but were dragged into wars."

She lit a candle to honor the fallen.

Feta Krafeh's ghost would feel a mix of feelings: anger, sadness, despair. He'd think back on his fellow Fenn. Aelthir Tundrak took him in and he trained Feta with his comrades. They tore down the old city of Odessa, attempting to carve a home in the old place. Now where was that home?

    Gone, like all the rest.

Theodora Palaiologos would sit at home when a courier would bring news of the Fenn's demise. She'd sigh, not caring one way or another.

"Never met a Snow Elf before, guess I won't now." She'd say this to herself, reclining in her chair.

Thomas J. Locke, a lowly court physician and part time philosopher reclines his back to the wall, seated in front of his freshly cut pine desk. He takes up his quill, dipping the sharpened calamus into the black depths of his ink pot before inscribing onto parchment a response. "'Twere it truly the desire of the dwarf to make peace and break bread with Humanity, then why perchance has he purchased a quantity of sellswords nigh equivalent to a net worth of a hundred thousand standard minae? As well were it not that these very same mercenaries were employed by dwarven purse to set tinder and flame to the places of Horen's sons, be they those of the noble or those of the common man, when the only offense offered up by human hands was to exist in harmony with itself? In his actions the dwarf is an aggressor upon Humanity, as the ages past will tell you in both the Fringe and Athera, one that has come repeatedly with collar and chain to shackle down and oppress those who stand half a foot or more above them."

Thomas pauses, taking the moment to wet his quill once more before starting a new paragraph. "You as well speak of tyranny by the Holy Orenian Empire, by Humanity, yet provide no context for such a claim. Would the oppressed not find it within their own natural rights to depose and establish new governance if they were under this tyrannical regime? In truth, it seems that the Emperor does not solely derive his right to rule from god but also from the consent of the people, fore upon which state within the Imperium did not willingly welcome unto themselves fealty to the Crown of Humanity? Were it the elves? Whose realm was once alight with internal strife and conflict before the hand of Humankind was offered to them. Or those of Haelun'or who were given their self sovereignty at their own request? Of Salvus? A state whose own people turned against and reunited under the Crown of Humanity. Mayhaps of Erochland? Whose democratically elected government moved to annex under the Crown. Norland? They themselves turned upon the coalition, only to face the threat of a Vandorian invasion, one that was quelled at the behest of the Emperor himself. So of what tyranny, I ask, do you speak of? Fore is it tyranny when the governed themselves give their consent to the regime?"

He finishes, spreading a pinch of pounce over the wet ink and wrapping up the letter in a strip of ribbon, affixed with a red waxen seal. The letter is soon after mailed off to the author, Thomas J. Locke reclining at his desk once more.

Mira would receive the response, reading it carefully. She would write back. "Dear unknown writer, I do not know how you got my address, but I shall reply to your questions none-the-less. The Dwarves convened a meeting in Hallowvale with Oren, so that the war could be drawn to a close. It was also the meeting in which Vandoria was born. It was actually Rhewen that was pressing the hardest for peace among the people gathered. Oren turned down Rhewen's call for white peace claiming that they had to avenge their slaughtered people. But when Ashton Highwind, a friend of mine, was taken prisoner and tortured by the Dwarves, the Emperor said nothing." She would pause, thinking of what else to say. "As for the people that have 'granted' the Emperor his regime, I am certain much of it is not from love of him or his predecessors, but from fear. Fear of the Orenian military. Of course their submissiveness only perpetuates his monopoly of power, but fear is the mind-killer after all. I simply wish that people look at the facts and alleviate that fear so that they might stand up to potential oppression. A united Vailor, or even just a united South, against the Emperor can win a war. The Dwarves, though greatly outnumbered, proved that Oren could be defeated at the Siege of Khro'Nogaak. Just imagine if all of the South rallied with them. This alliance would not be an attack on humanity, I assure you. It would be a defense against a monopoly." Satisfied with her response, she would send the letter back to a certain Thomas J. Locke.

Mira would hear of this Vykk yet again. "Ah, and here I thought he was referring to the nation. The one that was near the Grandaxes."

Bertrand considers a united world better than a war-torn one, remembering that the loss of sovereignty does not affect the common man in any way whilst an ongoing war does!

Mira considers a world where one person has monopolized power worse than a world that can set aside their differences and oust that person attempting to monopolize power.

Mira would hear word of this strange idea that she's spreading hatred. "Do take note, I do not hate anyone based on race, gender, or nationality. I simply hate it when a nation attempts to divide the world against itself for its own nefarious plans of global domination."

Jan Kovacs shakes his head, looking around to those of the Sepulchres surrounding him. "The plots of Urguan to gain support through causing emotional unrest aught not be taken seriously by any of you, any of yer friends, their friends. These posters claiming Oren as a war machine, set on the path of ultimate destruction are a poor attempt from Urguan and its allies to cause you to believe we want nothing but war and blood. They say that the people of the Holy Empire of Oren are being oppressed by a 'warmonger'. They say that the lives of you and your families are meaningless to a cause much larger than ourselves. Their words are spread by those filled with Urguanite words, that of hatred, that meant to cause fear. Spreading fear is a powerful tool indeed, but they must watch their tongue, for the men of Oren, from an initiate to an Emperor, will not be discouraged by your lies, slander..." he pauses, grinding his teeth, before looking back up. "They believe that by spreading hate amongst ourselves, it will drive us to shatter. How can they preach against us whilst they spread hatred in a disguised and daemonic manner. The insane views of a deranged nation should not cause you fear my brothers, but rather a new sense of devotion, for it is soon we will cleanse the minds of those held hostage under them. They began this war with swords, they now try to fight with their words... We shall end the reign of the mad with both."

Mira would laugh at the notion that she's living in Urguan. "Oh, that's rich."
