How did you find out about Lord of the Craft? I played a long time ago, but relied on somebody I shouldn't have and let my time be wasted. It came up in conversation with a friend of mine and decided to give it another try. Definitions Feel free to Google the answers or browse our forums, but make sure that you write the reply in your own words, not those of another website or person! What is roleplaying?: Stepping into a character's shoes and making decisions, not as yourself, but as your character. What is metagaming?: Using outside knowledge that your character doesn't, or couldn't, possess in character. What is powergaming?: Powergaming can be a few things. God-modding, basically acting like your character is unbeatable or infallible. Another defintion I've seen used is taking control away from other people's characters against their will. In-Character Information Now you actually make your character - be creative but stay reasonable! Make sure they make sense and that they follow lore. Try to come up with a character that you actually want to play. Character’s name: Aloysius Sprague Character’s sex: Male Character’s race: Highlander Character’s age: 20 Biography (Please make it a decent two paragraphs long. Remember to add server lore, and events that happened to your character so that they don’t contradict history.): Aloysius grew up in the outskirts of main civilization, away from people. The Sprague line had always been reclusive, dating back to when thy were first formed. People just weren't in their nature. There was just something offputting about them, the way they acted, their manner of speech. Something just under the surface that unnerved most people. So, they chose to just not interact with them more than they had to. Buying supplies, bartering, those sort of things made up a majority of their interactions with outside people. And then Aloysius was born. Unlike the rest of his line, he was outgoing, confident, persuasive. To his family, anyways. If there was something he wanted, he'd manage to drag it out of his parents through any means necessary, barring intimidation tactics. His vast personality and good natured soul was chained to this cabin in the woods, away from the rest of humanity. Unfortunately, he knew nothing of the outside world. The cabin and the surrounding woods had been all he'd ever known, and his parents were very particular on keeping it that way. Parents never know everything their child does, try as they might. One book was all it took to pique Aloysius's curisosity. He'd found a book on fictional knights out in the woods, mostly damaged, but the first chapter or so was still legible. That little snippet was enough to motivate him to begin his journey to Knighthood. Aloysius left a note for his parents on his bed, then set out when they were out gathering supplies, determined to make his way in the regular world. Personality Traits: Aloysius is exceptionally curious, wanting to learn anything and everything he can, whether he can actually understand it or not. He tends to give people the benefit of the doubt and is very gullible because of it. Ambitions: There's nothing he wants more to become a Knight like in the stories. He'll do anything to achieve this goal. Strengths/Talents: Being raised in a practically survivalist environment has hardened his body to temperature and made him quite the physical specimen. He knows how to survive out in the wild, but knows very little of city culture. Aloysius is very confident and wellspoken, even if his vocabulary isn't large. Weaknesses/Inabilities: Despite his curiosity, he's not smart. Abstract concepts and things with no real world basis are difficult for him to understand, and metaphors are very difficult for him to process. Appearance (List the extra details of your characters appearance, IE; height & weight): Aloysius stands just short of 6ft, being a fully grown adult male. His muscularture can be just seen behind his clothing, giving a hint at his physical prowess. He sports a light blue jacket with and a white undershirt and a hair full of thick black hair.
