  1. Valeria vas Ruthern would retrieve the paper Anthony had given her from her bag as soon as she'd return home. As the girl read over the informational piece, her lips curled into a bright smile, an indication of her admiration.  When she was finished reading, she'd retrieve a piece of paper and quill to send off a letter to Anthony himself, applauding him of his work.

    Hi Jenna.

    Hello Bubby

  3. Hello!

I started on Lotc during Vailor back in 2015. Wow, five years I've been involved in this community.  Anyway, I took a break for about a year due to the chaos of school and starting college, etc.  Some of you may know me, others may not. I've changed my username a few times.   You might know me as Jennanana or Jxnna_!  Anyway,  I just wanted to say hello again and see if any of my old friends here on the server, that I haven't already spoken to, still play!  Feel free to reminisce on old memories if there are any and I will see you around.

    A Binding of Thorned Hearts

    7th of Sun’s smile, 1677

The beams of the filtering sunlight through the treetop canopies fell on the couple wrapped in love’s embrace, facing each other with emotions tangled in their intimate reflections. A small audience of friends, and the remaining family of the two star crossed lovers; they stood in the knee high grasses of the meadow looking on at the procession of two becoming one. Atticus stood looking down into the glimmering emerald eyes of Elisabella, with a soft hand he took up hers.”I will forever be yours, my heart and yours are now joined together, bound by our everlasting love, a bond unbreakable even when faced with the strongest peril. At every step we shall take, every breath that travels through our lungs, every word formed from our lips, may they only endorse the love we share. We are now one.” He slid the delicate, emerald adorned ring onto her pale finger.

Once Atticus’s vows were made, Elisabella lifts his hand with a tender touch, with joyous tears in her gaze her words were soft. “You are the blood running through my veins, filling my heart full of your love. The world could turn cold, and yet the flame of our undying endearment would remain, the warmth of two melded and forged beneath starlight. As far as the ocean is deep, my love for you runs deeper.  With you at my side, the dangerous waters of my past are calmed, the sadness is cast away into the sea, and the once empty heart that lay within my chest is overflowing with your love.” She slips the sapphire imbedded gold band onto his finger. A kiss ensued, tender lips sealing their eternal love.

The witnesses applaud as the newly married couple exit from the ceremony.

What do you hope to gain from joining the Merchants Guild?: Money, everyone wants money! Besides that! Who doesn't want a firework or two to play around with their friends? And who's the elderly man that doesn't want a remedy to their back pain!

This will bring in a lot of money for sure!

What group/playerbase are you most involved with? Human but I've had characters in most races

    Staff History

I've applied for ET and WT in the past, but the timing was bad. I was accepted in both positions but unfortunately, because of the crazy year that I had, I was unable to be of help within the position. Therefore, I resigned in both positions, but now I will have an easier schedule and more time to participate.

    Ban History

Haven't been banned or punished whatsoever.

    Blacklist History:

The fact that I don't even know what that is, I can't say I've ever had any situations with it.

What do you want to join the Event Team?

I want to join the event team to bring my creative ideas to the server to boost the activity and excitement. I wish to bring roleplay those who find themselves mindlessly running around not getting the full enjoyment of the roleplay server!

Why should we accept you onto the Team?

Now that my crazy schedule has subsided, I believe that I could make an active and creative addition to your team. Being apart of multiple creative writing classes and other classes improving creativity, creating events that are unique and fun should be no problem!

What kind of events do you aspire to create?:

Mainly the low to high fantasy range, but possibly exploring other areas of events eventually. As a beginning recruit I would start small with one person to small group events leading up to larger, more detailed events as I get better.

    What makes a good event?

Organization - An event filled with confusion and clutter would take away the fun of the event! I believe that the order and rules of the event should be clearly stated before it starts to avoid out of character conflict.
Uniqueness - Who would want to participate in the same or similar event over and over again? In my opinion, each and every event should be different from others, something the players have yet to experience!
Detail - Knowledge is power! Players should know everything that is in front of them. They should have detailed descriptions of, for example, the beast that they are about to defeat. What would happen if they tried to shoot a creature in the eye if the creature didn't have any eyes?

Create three in-depth event scenarios. I’m not looking for some prelude or whimsical idea here -- we want an indicator as to your talent and potential to be on the ET. You don’t need to write a word-for-word script, but we want a solid structure and plan as to how you’d organize and carry out an event:

    The Three Headed Dragon:

A large shadow casts over the lands, a screech pierces the ears of many as a giant creature soars through the sky. The beast would be winged and covered in tough scales, three necks that hold three heads. One breathing fire, one with venomous fangs, and the third with a stare to turn any who looks in its eyes to stone.

    Step One

The dragon would find a place to land, to attack. Making ruckus destroying anything in its path.

    Step Two

Assuming that people would immediately rush out to see what has come about to their land.  The dragon becoming intimidated would screech louder, letting out a few warning blazes and such.

    Step  Three

After the dragon's dangerous appearing behavior, if the people around the dragon would begin to attack, the fate of success or not would be determined by role play and the actions of the players

    Alternative Step

If players decide to flee or hide from the dragon, the dragon would most likely move on to the next city to terrorize.

    Possible Items from the Event

If the dragon were to be defeated, players could collect the heads, the talons, and teeth from the corpse.

    The Tree of Whispers:

A large, willow looking tree in the midst of forest. Those who walk on a path even near to the tree would be able to hear voices trapped within the branches.  The voices would belong to the lost souls that are trapped within the realm with unfinished business.

    Step One

The voice would attempt to draw the player near with its indistinct words.  Attacking at their curiosity.

    Step Two

If the player followed the voice, they would be lead to a willow-looking tree, the voice louder but without any clear words. If the player welcomed the voice into their mind, doing such by greeting it or inquiring about their presence such as "Hello?" or "Who's there?" The voices words could be understood, attempting to convince the player to finish a task of their unfinished business.  More often than not, there soul would promise something of fortune to the player if they set them free.

    The Task

The task could be something as little as searching for a loved one of the soul and telling something of the soul's choice or it could be as difficult as completing a quest that the soul was meant to.

    Step Three

Step three would consist of a part two of the entire event.  The task of the soul. If the player decided to take the task, another event would be set up in attempt for the player to complete the task.

    The Haunted Mirror

(Spin off from my previous idea, 'The Broken Mirror')

A mysterious, hand mirror would appear near to you. The beautiful, golden frame and clear reflection would be rather alluring whether it was for the riches you could get from it or the beauty of it itself.

    Step One

The mirror pops up somewhere around the player. If the player were to look into the mirror, seeing their reflection  it would appear as normal. Though, if the player were to look away, even briefly, the reflection stared back at them, almost as if they became a person of their own. The appearance of the reflection would differ from what the player expects to see the next time they'd look in the mirror, they'd notice something is off.

    Step Two

If and once the player notices the difference in the reflection from their own face, if no mental barriers present, they'd immediately feel an unwanted presence in their mind.  Aslong as they held onto the mirror, they might start to hallucinate, almost as if the mirror was playing harmless tricks at first such as having a bad taste in his mouth. If the player gives into these tricks, they might end up falling under control of the mirror.

    Step Three

If the player were to fall under control of the mirror, they might be convinced to do harmful tasks, whatever the mirror may convince whomever holds the mirror. If the mirror was kept somewhere or placed down, it wouldn't have power unless picked up again.

    Alternative Step:

If the player were to break the mirror,  whatever haunted it would be trapped in the mind of the previous holder, causing the player to be stuck with what would act as an evil conscience. The only way to be rid of the haunting being a priest to expel it.

  9. +1

I believe that Alex will be a very dedicated, hard working, and overall positive addition to the staff team.  He's clearly been in multiple staff positions in the past and knows his way around the server.    As someone who roleplays with him daily, I can confirm that he enjoys spending multiple hours on the server.  I don't see anyone else better fit for the job than he is!

    Ehier Meracahe

[!] A book with a mismatched backing was added to the library in Caras Eldar, it'd be ever so obvious that someone snuck it on the shelf

“Well, llir, I should be off. I do have a trial to complete, after all!” the elfess beamed, “Aspects guide you.” she’d state in her departure, dipping her head slightly. Eylianna wanders away from city center, out through the gates, and deep into the woods. “Imbalance in nature, imbalance in nature.” she’d repeat to herself as her feet pace at the ground, a small hunting knife drops from her waistband “Oops.” she’d pick it back up, continuing to walk. Her hands brush against the bark of several trees as she’d pass. Eylianna’s thoughts ran as wild as the forest she wandered about, contemplating situations of her own imagination as she’d walk. Calmly and contently, the elfess walked for hours on end.

Time progresses and the sun dips behind the horizon. Eylia gathers dead, dry, branches and ferns and stacks them in a neat pile. She strikes together two rocks for several minutes until a spark catches, setting the dried brush alight. She tends the fire with branches and any other useful tree particles to add, in which she would find on the forest floor. While the fire was maintained, Eylianna clears a patch of moss from scattered twigs, making it a suitable place for her to lay her head for the night. “Aspects protect me, as predators prowl these lands, looking for food to satisfy their hunger. Turn them away from my flesh for I am only here to help restore the balance.  I give my praise to thee.” she’d muse before she brought her body against the moss patch, closing her eyes for the night.

At the mere break of dawn, Eylia takes an abrupt awakening to the cries of what would seem to belong to some sort of cub in the distance.  She’d rise to her feet, stomping out the remains of the fire, she followed the cries. The cries grew louder and louder as she headed west. She comes to a stop at the trail of blood, her eyes follow it. She’s stunned as she sees a bear cub with black fur encaged. “Who would hunt a cub? Leave it in a cage for later, at that? They don’t nearly posses enough meat, claws, teeth, or fur to benefit from.” she’d frown “Unless it’s for game.” she’d shake her head angrily. “This blood is probably from the poor creature’s mother.”  Eylia makes her way around the pool of blood and to the wooden cage where the crying cub is held. “Shh, shh, little creature,” she spoke in a calming voice. “We’re going to get you out of here.” she’d half speak to the cub in reassurance, the other half being a reassurance to herself.

The cage was made of large branches, the corners were bound by strong twine. Eylianna takes the knife from her waistband and removes its leather cover.  She’d slip it in between the wood and the twine, pulling upwards at it. She grunts as the twine doesn’t budge “It’s tied too tightly.” she’d growl. She slips her hand in to grasp the twine, pressing her feet against the cage, using it as another force as she pulled at the twine. The weak elfess uses the maximum strength that her body is capable of. Her hands slip and she falls to her back with a groan. She’d soon stand, taking a kick at the corner post of the cage, but it barely cracks. Reaches for her knife once more, placing it between the twine and the wood, sawing at the fibers. It slowly, but surely, begins to tear.  The twine of that corner breaks, she’d move down to the bottom corner, beginning the same process. As the knife slowly cuts through the twine, Eylia stops, her ears perked as cruel, distant, laughter is heard. She’d saw at impeccable speed. The twine snaps, leaving a small opening, but not big enough for the cub. The voices draw nearer and nearer by the minute. In hurry, she starts kicking at the wood, making small cracks and breaks. “Oi, wot’re ye doin’ with our cub!” shouts an angry dwarf from afar. Eylia mutters something under her breath “Aspects guide me.”   She reaches into the cage, taking the distressed cub in her arms, it scratches and paws at her as she runs deeper into the forest. Heavy, distant footsteps are heard following in her trail. Eylia pants from the exertion and winces from the cub’s claws. She comes at a halt when she is faced with a rushing river with heavy currents. Eylianna becomes frantic, her eyes bouncing around her surroundings as she thinks through a solution. “Dwarves on my trail, a large hill to my left, an unpredictable cave to my right, and a river in my path.” she thinks to herself, but three large figures surround her as she stands on the edge of the river. “Ye ‘ave our cub, lasseh.” said a bearded dwarf with dirty blonde hair. “Aye! We need t’at focker! T’e runt is gonna be an opponent in t’e great foight,” shouts another dwarf, this one being red-headed.  The last dwarf had a battle axe raised, his eyes pierced through Eylianna. “I will not allow you to use one of the Aspects’ creations as a toy in your game. It’s cruel.” The dwarves pressed in on Eylianna. Being unarmed, she’d cower back, her foot slipping off the edge, dipping into the rushing waters. “Nowhere tae run, lasseh.” smirks the red-haired dwarf. They press closer and closer. Eylia closes her eyes, taking a deep breath, she’d grasp the cub close to her chest, its claws dig into her arms, she winces before leaping back into the river. The current takes her downstream. The dwarves stand stunned as they watch her drift away.

Moving fast down the river, Eylianna’s head is pulled under the current multiple times, when she returned to the surface she gasps for air, but is pulled under once more. Through several minutes of being submerged, scraped by rocks, and tussled from each curve of the river, Eylia manages to keep her head away from impact and her consciousness intact. The elfess sighs of relief as she’d see a fallen branch that partly hangs over the river in the distance. As she draws closer to the branch’s location, she vigorously swims to the other side of the river, panting as the river fights her actions. She wraps the one arm around the branch once she reaches it while keeping a firm grasp of the cub with the other as it clung to her with its claws. She’d grunt as she swings her leg over the thick branch, mounting it like a horse. She sits for a moment, breathing heavily. She’d pet the cub gently in the attempt to soothe it. When the cub was calm she’d stand, balancing on the branch as she’d walk to the land. Eylianna cradles the cub as she’d follow a long journey back to Caras Eldar, she glances down at the cub “I found a new llir, not to mention completed my trial. I shall name you Meracahe, Balance.”

How do you wish to work on the wiki? (Writing, updating lore, etc):

Writing, updating, editing, you name it! I'd be willing to help wherever I'm needed.

Have you worked on the, or any wiki before?:

I have not, but I love writing and literature. I basically spend my free time reading server lore because I have no life.

Which lore are you most familiar with?:

Mainly Elf, hence why I am making my application on my second account that holds my elf characters.

Please provide an example of a wiki page you are not satisfied with and list aspects that could be improved:

    https://wikia.lordofthecraft.net/index.php?title=Elves

(and yes I know, this is a major page to the wiki, but I have a few ideas!)

Under the subcategory "Curses" on this page, they speak about Malin, but any player new to elves might not know who that is! So, I would suggest adding another subcategory such as "History". Even though there's a separate page describing him on the subrace pages, I believe it'd be a more efficient way for a player to obtain basic knowledge of  of where the race they are about to play comes from.  Along with that, I personally would like to know how the different subraces of elves are connected. Surely, they are the same race, but why are Snow Elves considered cousins to Dark Elves and Dark Elves considered brethren to Wood and High Elves? Why is one closer in relation? Frankly, this might just be a personal bias, but it's just a recent inquiry from brushing up on my elf knowledge as I've started playing as one again.

Please provide an example of a wiki page you see as a model example and list your reasoning:

    https://wikia.lordofthecraft.net/index.php?title=Dwarves

This page talks about how dwarves are descendants of Urguan, then links to another page that is a description of who he is. Not only does it explain that this page is just overall more in-depth than Elven lore.  It lists extra details such as previous rulers and which kingdom they ruled under and how they govern their lands. With a more detailed lore page of a race, less chance there is for a new player to be confused or ignorant about the race of the character they're playing.

Please showcase your abilities with either:

A short writing on the subject of your choosing.

An example of an 'other' (Already completed wiki pages are a plus!).

This is a small experiment one of my characters did, an attempt to use herbs to cure madness and how. Unsure if this would fall into more of a roleplay writing subject, but I figured I'd share anyway.

The Study of Herbs and Mental Health.

Researched and tested at the Adesso Clinic in Curon by Katerina Adesso

Herbology is broadly known as various healing remedies and even self-defense!  But what if it could be used to cure more than physical health, but mental too? Certain plant species are known to cause delusion and mental illness within the brain if it's over-consumed. Though, if one is already in a mental state of mind could it be a possibility to trick the brain using these same herbs?

Zawabate is a common herb used for minor forms of healing, but with too much of it, it causes severe delusion! With it's healing properties, if one is already suffering from delusion, herbologist have studied the reactions that occurred from giving a retired knight who believed he was constantly on the battlefield even in the comfort of his home, large doses of Zawabate.  His delusions weren't changed but were altered to a less violent image.

Patient complained about not being able to fall asleep,  restless sleep, waking up from aggressive nightmares, and difficulting falling back to sleep after.  The patient was given the following to take before bed:

Night Sap - A honey like stubstance found in forests that cause the sense of calmness or sleepiness

Chimera Weeds - Weeds that attach to dead organisms and grow in the forest. When ingested, it causes one to be placed in a zombie-like state.

The patient consistantly followed the doctor's instructions and reported the severety of the symptoms decreasing. The less severe  the symptoms the more the dosage was decreased, but the patient was still dependant on the medicine.

As only a few experiments of this study has been conducted, it's clear to say that herbs can help manage psychological problems, but not fully cure them!

  12.  The 17th of Snow’s Maiden
People file into the Cathedral of Saint Otto & Karl in Markev. They take their seats as the await the toll of the bell, signalling the beginning of a wedding! Smiles on faces, gasps from the small children, and the rise of the guests as the doors swing open. Franz stood next to the priest at the altar, his father at his side. He’d be dressed in posh, formal attire with colors of his house.  With his hands folded in front of him, his lips curl into a smirk as he catches a glimpse of Erika through the doorway. A quartet of strings begins to play slow Music.
Erika and her father, Aldrik, being arm in arm begin to make their way towards the altar. Erikalifts
thewhitetulee of her skirt as she walks, glancing
to her father then Franz, nothing but a broad smile on her lips. The two come to a stop as they reach the altar.  “Who gives this woman to this man?” said the priest.  Aldrik glances to Erika with a smile “Ah do.” he’d respond with a heavy accent before he’d hand her off to Franz.  Franz and Erika stood parallel to each other and took one another’s hands. The priest asks the guests to sit as he’d begin the matrimony.  After a few scriptures of the ceremony it was time for vows to be recited! “Erika, repeat after me.” the priest would instruct. Erika nods before reciting his words with an accent of her own  “Ah, Erika Lilaine Baruch take thee, Franz Petyr Vanir to be my wedded husband, to ‘ave and to ‘old, from this day forward, for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in ‘ealth, to love and to cherish, ti
ll death do us part, and in the name of GOD, ah pledge myself to you."  Erika took a wedding band, and placed it on Franz’s finger.  The priest smiles, nodding unto Erika before turning to Franz “Franz, repeat after me.” Franz clears his throat before repeating his words with a smile,  “I, Franz Petyr Vanir  take thee, Erika Lilaine Baruch to be my wedded wife, to ‘ave and to hold, from this day forward, for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in ‘ealth, to love and to cherish, till death do us part, and in the name of GOD, I pledge myself to you."  Franz places the ring on Erika’s finger.  The priest nods as the rings and vows are exchanged. “Do you Erika, take Franz to be your lawfully wedded husband until death do you part?” he’d inquire looking to Erika for her response. “Ah do.” she’d reply, her smile brightening. The priest looks to Franz. “Do you Franz, take Erika to be your lawfully wedded wife until death do you part?” Franz nods “Ah do.” The priest looks forward and exclaims, “I know announce thee husband and wife!” he’d look to Franz with a smirk “You may now kiss your bride!”  Franz returns the smirk before taking Erika into his arms, placing a kiss to her lips.
And thus two become one. The priest asks for the guest to make way for Lord and Lady Vanir.  Franz scowls at the term “Lord” but smiles as he escorts his newly wedded wife out of the Cathedral.

People who were specifically invited to the wedding by the bride and groom:
