  1. Nynaeve would feel herself floating, her body that was rather numb slowly beginning to feel again. Her eyes would slowly open, looking about the room curiously. Confusion set in. This was not her home. It wasn't long before she realized how quiet it was. Then the elfess remembered.

She had been unattuned, her gifts taken from her after a trial. She had been taken from her home, knocked out and completely unable to defend herself. Her ears would slowly pin to her cheeks as she tried to remember more of what happened. Nothing would come to her, just the fact she had been in complete darkness. "What happened to me..." she asked herself quietly.

Slowly, she emerged from her bed she had been in. Nyn was stiff, however what drove her to move was something that had been on her mind upon waking: the location of Oropher and Amalie. She knew she wasn't within the Grove that she had called her home. That was where she managed to head first. Nyn moved about, attempting to find them. Alas, there was no luck...and panic set in.

She returned to the original place, seeing all the evidence that someone had been caring for her body as she slept. She found a piece of paper and a quill, leaving a note to whomever had been taking care of her body while she slept.

"To whomever was caring for me,

I thank you for making sure I was taken care of. I am sorry I have decided to part like this but I must find my husband and daughter. They are no where to be found within our home. If I could thank you in person, I would...however this is goodbye.

Please make sure those of my circle knows what happened to me. Let them know I lived and I will live. Tell them to be strong, to make sure to continue to fight for our cause despite their Archdruii have disappeared. The Circle of the Old Hunt will live on through those Oropher and I have taught.

Tell Hareven I thank him for being a close friend and ally to me. For being a wonderful student. He will go far, I am sure of it. One day, perhaps, he will become an Archdruid of the circle as well. He is a hard worker. Let him know I expect him to care for Blossom and Kraden...as well as Silvyr.

Tell Anthron he is in charge of my Seed. It is his right now, being High Elder. I believe he will go far with it and be a much better leader than I was within the family.

If you can find my other family, let them know I love them dearly...however I cannot stay in Axios.

I thank you, again, for caring for me until I awakened. May the Aspects guide you.

    Signed

    Nynaeve Sagehand-Deathsbane"

The note would be left with a raven feather.

With that, the former druid would take off in the dead of night....never to be seen from again.

    Spoiler

This is my goodbye. I wish to thank all those who have made a big impact on my life. I will forever love all of you dearly.

    Good luck...and farewell.

  4. Nynaeve would have heard the news, finding herself in a secluded spot in her own grove. Oliver had become someone she viewed as a brother, a friend. Family. She let out a sigh as she placed the rose bush down into the dirt with a sign and little fence around it.

"Oliver, you and I were much alike as well as very different. I know we shared the same thoughts...the same beliefs. I promise, when Kary returns, I will make sure he is taken care of. I will also make sure Aiden is taken care of. This is my promise to you, my dear friend."

Nyn would then place a raven feather from her hair beside the bush and the sign.

This rose bush is in memorial to Oliver.

A wonderful friend, father, and brother.

May you find peace among the flowers and the tree as you finally rest.

  5. Nynaeve would sigh softly from her home far from Linandria or the Orcs. "I guess being a part of Hareven's guild is a good thing....affiliates are protected by the Uruks." she chuckles lightly, looking over to her daughter who was happily playing on the field beside her. "I should go visit again to see how they are doing."

  6. Nynaeve Sagehand would have received the news, causing her to collapse where she stood and let out a loud sob.

"Ivlisar....my...my son.." she let out pained sobs, her hands coming to her face.

After she numbed herself to the pain of losing her son, she found a small place in her grove and set up a small sapling.

"May the Aspects guide you....Ivlisar Sagehand."

With that, Nynaeve moved back into her little hobble of a home.

  7. A pink haired Elfess would be standing in the crowd, staring up at the man who had been announced as the new High Prince. A bright smile would be present on her face.

"Congratulations, Maln!" she would say to herself. Her eyes would look to the raven on her shoulder. She'd lift her hand, offering the bird a rose which it took into it's beak. It spread it's wings and flew up to the older Mali'ame to drop the rose at his feet along with the signature raven feather.

What magic(s) will you be teaching?: Communion & Control

Summarise the Lore of this magic(s):

    Nature's Communion

Nature's Communion is where you are connected to the life of the nature around them. They can listen, feel, and even communicate with the nature and animals around them. This is the first step into Druidism. When a person is first attuned, this is the very first thing they learn how to do. It will be hard for a newly attuned Druid to understand nature and animals at first, but with time and experience it will become clearer to the Druid as to what Nature is saying.

    Control of Nature

Control of Nature is the gift of being able to ask nature requests to help them keep the balance. One cannot really control nature, but the Druid is allowed to make requests and commune with plants to try and get the gain of what the Druii needs. A Druid learning Control of Nature could start with growing a simple seed into a flower to ending up growing a tree in time. It is difficult, but in time a Druid can do much with this gift.

Write up a lesson that your character would give to a student:

Nynaeve would take her student to a garden that she knows of. The Elfess would smile gently as she took a seat in the grass, motioning for the student to do the same. "Now that you can hear the hum of the nature around you, it is time for you to learn how to communicate with it." Nyn would begin as she pulled out a few seeds from her satchel bag. Her eyes would soon take on a periwinkle glow as she looked to the student. "You first need to connect to the nature around you. You do this by clearing your mind of everything but the sound of the nature around you."

The student would nod, closing their eyes and taking a deep breath. Nyn would wait for them to open their eyes and take on the colored glow of their eyes to indicate they are connected. "Good, now...this is the harder part since you are newly attuned. Take one of these seeds and hold it in your hand. You will try and focus on the hum this seed has. It is very much different from the rest of nature around you. Once you have it, you will then ask it to grow."

The student would then blink in confusion, however would stare at the seeds. They would then reach out to take a seed and hold it in their palm. Nyn would see the nervousness in their eyes as they stared at the seed. "You can do it...the Aspects have granted you the gifts to commune with the nature around you and ask it for favours." The student nodded slowly, taking a breath before now focusing on the seed. It would take a few moments before the seed began to hum softly, causing Nyn to smile.

Slowly, roots and a stem would crack out of the seed in the hand of her student. It would grow slowly, the student's forehead slowly starting to bead with sweat. As the plant continued to grow, the leaves would sprout from the stem as would a small bud. Nyn's ears would twitch slightly as her grin grew, her happiness continuing to build. The student before her would continue to sweat as they focused harder on the plant.

At last, the flower would bloom. Nyn would clap, grinning to the student. "That was amazing! You did very- oh..." Nyn blinked as she watched the person topple over in exhaustion. The woman would move over to a stream and collect some water in her waterskin before walking back to the student. She would sit, moving the student to lay their head in her lap and placing the water skin on their forehead.

"You have a long way to go...but I am very proud of what you did today. Rest now, dear."

“The life of the dead is placed in the memory of the living.”  Marco Tullius Cicero

The day was slowly coming to an end, the moon rising as the sun faded across the horizen. The cold of winter gently caressing on the ones who were still moving out and about in the grove. While most went inside for warmth, one person in particular would have herself moving towards the playground. Her copper-red gaze would look towards random spots, memories flooding her mind of one person and one alone.

They had met when they were the age of ten and had been inseparable. They loved one another for many years and, for Enara, it was a love that would never fade. She could remember the first time they confessed to one another, she could remember each time they kissed or held hands. Enara remembered it all. He was there for her on her darkest days and she was there for his. However, happiness always seems to fade one way or another.

She sighed as she found herself at the swings. It only took a few more moments before her feet would continue to carry her somewhere else. Enara had something to do...and she had to find the perfect spot.

Enara could still hear his heartbeat against her ear as they laid together in the grass on a warm summer’s day. ‘That will never happen again..’ she thought as she walked into the forest. The night grew colder...and colder...and colder still, but the young dark elf didn’t seem to mind one bit.

I’ll be cold, myself, soon.’ Enara’s mind would mutter, her eyes looking about. She found the tree her and Nerrin had sat under. The place where their love had blossomed, turning into a more mature relationship. “Here is perfect...the place where I knew he and I would have been together forever.” she spoke in a whisper, afraid someone might have heard her.

She would then sit, pulling out a few parchments of paper and writing utensils, such as a quill and ink pot. Enara would unscrew the lid and dunked her quill, soon writing a note.

“To my dearest Maln and Haelun,

I am sorry for the problems I have caused you in the past. I know this is probably the reason why you have disappeared from my life. I wanted so badly to fix things, to be a family again. I ruined that, much like I ruined a lot of things for us. I promise that will not be an issue anymore. Maln, you are strong and I admire you. You are kind and gentle, but you are a leader. Please, do not lose that about yourself. Don’t lose your heart in times of darkness. The Warhawkes need a strong leader, like you. Be the best you can be, I will be watching you every step of the way, Maln. I love you, so very much.

Haelun, I wish for you find it in your heart to forgive me. I treated you terribly when you returned and I know it was just out of spite. I never wanted it to be like that and, for a time, I thought it was all fixed. I love you, Haelun. Please be there for Maln.

    Van’ayla,

    Enara Ba’ikana”

Enara would then fold the note, slowly moving to pin it to her blouse. She would then move once more to write a letter. One more goodbye.

    “To my Maliyu,

I am sorry for everything I have done in our relationship. I am sorry for getting jealous, I am sorry for being gone. I even feel sorry for existing. I never wanted sadness or pain for you, but I feel like within these past few years that is all I have ever done. You are my only love. You were always there for me when my parents were not. You kept me sane, Nerrin. You shown me how love is suppose to be.

Do not blame yourself, do not. That is the only thing I ask when you find out what I have done. I wish for peace, since I am now alone in this world. I wish for you to have happiness with whoever you find. I wish happiness for you in everything you do in the years to come.

I meant what I said. I will love you until my dying day. Until my last breath.

    With love for all eternity,

    Enara Ba’ikana.”

With the last letter written and pinned to her blouse, both titled ‘To Maln and Haelun’ and ‘To Nerrin’, the young elven woman would slowly lift herself up and climbed the tree. Once she got to a high enough branch, she would tie a rope to it...and then around her neck.

    I am sorry.”

After she uttered those words, Enara would jump. She did not feel it when her neck snapped. She did not feel the coldness of winter upon her skin anymore.

All she felt…..was peace. An eternal peace on the day of her birth.

  10.

    Quoth the Aspects, Nevermore

“Deep into that darkness peering, long I stood there, wondering, fearing, doubting, dreaming dreams no mortal ever dared to dream before.”

    - Edgar Allen Poe, “The Raven” -

Nynaeve sat upon the ground in the middle of the night, the Spring air gently caressing at her skin. She hummed softly, her ears flicking about as she listened to the nature around her. Her eyes would be shut and her breathing deep, calm...falling into a meditative trance in which she felt nothing but peace from.

“Here I opened wide the door;— Darkness there, and nothing more.”

    - Edgar Allen Poe, “The Raven” -

Nynaeve’s eyes would flutter open, her emerald green hues looking about her. She was in her garden near Linandria. The place where most of her pain and suffering had been and always would be. She sighed softly before she noticed herself surrounded by ravens. That dreaded totem that she had tried to get away from by becoming the Meldramiriel Druid. Nyn smiled slightly, thinking to herself: ‘These are merely just birds and they have nothing to do with me.’

Once her thought was through, the ravens around her stopped what they were doing...and began to stare at her. Calculating eyes baring into her soul, it seemed, before they began to fly, circling her and surrounding her more and more. The feathers would brush at her skin, talons and beaks rubbing against her. However, instead of feeling pain...she felt calm and peaceful as if she was being greeted by an old friend.

“I don’t understand what’s-” Nyn’s voice was cut short by a woman’s voice. It was beautiful like a melody, gentle like a breeze, and soft like velvet.

“My dearest Nynaeve, did you really think we would let you be something that you are not?”

Nynaeve would turn to look to where the voice came from. There, on the path of flowers and trees, stood a woman who was more beautiful than Nyn could have ever imagined. Beside her was a man, a set of deer antlers on his head and a bow resting on his back. The pink haired woman blinked as the ravens still circled her, cawing in happiness.

“Nynaeve, we never accepted you as the Meldramiriel Druid. You know this, do you not?”

The woman would bite her lower lip slightly. In the deepest parts of her heart, she did know. She was just too ignorant to believe it. She wanted so badly for the curses to be lifted and sadly...they never did. That is how she knew.

The ravens would soon part from around her, Nyn now covered in raven feathers. She stepped forward to come face to face with the woman and man, the Aspects. Her emerald eyes would glitter as she looked to them.

“Why can I not escape this totem, Mother? Why do I have to stick with it?”

“Because you are the only one strong enough to deal with it’s curse.”

Nyn tilted her head before releasing a small sigh. She was slightly upset, however if this is what the Aspects truly believed...she wouldn’t fight against them.

“I am the Raven….always and forever. Nothing will change…”

“It will never change because you and the totem fit so well, oem’ii. That is your totem, just as we wished for it to be in the beginning. Be the one who redeems the Raven, for so many have already forsaken it’s name.”

The ravens would then encircle her once more, claiming her as one of their own. She would embrace their wings against her skin, the talons and the beaks as they marked her as the Druid of the Raven.

“Once upon a midnight dreary, while I pondered, weak and weary, Over many a quaint and curious volume of forgotten lore,”

    - Edgar Allen Poe, “The Raven” -

Nynaeve would come out of her meditative trance, looking back out onto the water from her sitting post. She took in a breath before her eyes went to gaze upon something on her left shoulder. A large raven, beautiful as a midnight sky, would sit there like stone except for it’s eyes blinking as it studied her. Slowly, Nyn would bring her hand up to it, letting it’s head meet with her palm. She would stroke it’s feathers.

“I am the Raven….I accept that..”

Nyn would then stare back out into the water, petting her avian friend.

“But the raven, sitting lonely on the placid bust, spoke only,

That one word, as if his soul in that one word he did outpour.

Nothing further then he uttered - not a feather then he fluttered -

Till I scarcely more than muttered `Other friends have flown before -

On the morrow he will leave me, as my hopes have flown before.’

    Then the bird said, 'Nevermore.”

    - Edgar Allen Poe, “The Raven” -
