  1. Spoiler

It didn’t take long for Karyssmov to arrive after she sent the raven in search of him.

It didn’t take long for her to welcome his wife into her family, much like she did him long ago.

It didn’t take long for her to see the pain in his eyes as he looked up to her and said “I need hugs.”

Nynaeve’s small, gentle form had moved over to him. Her arms embraced him tightly as if he was a small child in her arms. She took a deep breath as waves of sadness would fall onto her being. Her son, someone who was always cheerful and full of life, was now sitting here at her table...crying.

“Please, whatever you do, don’t leave me.”

The woman would blink back tears as memories would flood her mind to her own mother as she disowned her back in Vailor. The woman took a deep breath, pulling the man in her arms tighter and closer to her.

“I will never leave you, I am not that kind of mother.”

    ~*~

After everyone had gone to bed, Nyn slowly emerged from her room in the house and out the door. Gentle footsteps, crunching of rocks, and shuffling of grass filled her ears as she walked up the paths and to the Aspect Statues. From there, she sat in front to Cerridwen, looking up at her with ther emerald and foggy green eyes.

She was the Mother of the Harvest. The Aspect of life, nurturement, fertility, and growth. Cerridwen was the mother of all things in nature, and Nyn was always told she guided her through life. The pinkette woman would stare up at the statue, at her face.

For Nyn, the topic of mothers and how to be one properly was strained. Her own mother disowned her at the age of twenty, a time where she needed her mother most. Of course, she had been ignoring Nynaeve for years before that...it was just twenty was the age the child could be kicked out. At least by Sagehand tradition it is.

After that, Nyn’s life had become void from ever wanting children. She was scared to end up like her mother. It wasn’t until many years later when she had found Linandria, her former home, and had Virinya that she even realized just how much children would actually mean to her.

She watched many of the children she took in grow into beautiful young women and handsome young men, following their own paths in life and yet always coming back to their mother for hugs and cuddles when they needed it.

She understood how being a mother was suppose to be. It was suppose to be loving them unconditionally and supporting them in their choices as long as its for the good in their life. However, after the events of that morning continued to play through her head, Nyn questioned even if this Lilyana knew what being a mother really was.

Meeting Kary was a small chance, him being drunk in the tavern and being jealous over the fact that she was giving Ivlisar gentle embraces and a heartfelt talk. It caused Nyn to chuckle and pull him into her arms, making sure he was comfortable until he fell asleep from the intoxication. He showed up later, asking if she remembered, which she did, and letting him know it was all right.

When she took him in, she noticed how much of an impacted he had become in her life. There were times when she felt herself become lost in her own darkness and she had no clue how to escape and there was Karyssmov to lead her out of it. It was nice, but after a while she felt as if she had been using his Clerical gifts like some sort of addict and began to hate asking him for help. She was the one who was suppose to help him, not the other way around.

Her eyes stayed on the statue, her thoughts on Karyssmov. He needed her to be stronger than she had ever been now. He need a mother to comfort him in this time. From the back of her head, she heard a voice. Perhaps it was her own thoughts speaking through...or maybe Cerridwen giving her motherly advice:

“You are strong, there is nothing that would tell you otherwise. You have been through so much, but you always somehow pull through it all. Now is the time to show him your light and be his rock, like he has done for you. Be the best you can be for him, he has been left. You are his mother now, protect him and love him as such. The two of you are so much alike, it’s no wonder you two were guided to one another.

You show him how a mother is suppose to be, just as you have done for the other children in your care. He needs you.

Be the mother he needs. Be the mother they need.”

Nyn would smile softly, moving to stand. Her hands would move to her satchel to pull out a few beautiful gems she had collected recently. “Thank you, gracious Mother...for always guiding me in times I need you most. I may not have had a mother growing up, but I have had you…and now I have Renn too..”

With that, Nyn would head home as the sun peeked over the horizon.

She had a job to do and that was be the mother her children needed to be.

    The mother Kary needed.

  2. [!] A note would be left as well, delicate and easy to read.

"I know for a fact Belestram is sleeping with frost witches.

One came into the Wandering Grove, accusing me of flirting with her boyfriend who I later found out to be Belestram. She attempted to murder me in the grove. If it had not have been for my brethern I would most likely be dead. It is the frost witch known as Analiana Elverhilin that attacked me whom he has been fraternizing with.

It is not just hearsay any longer, now is it?

    Signed

    Nynaeve Sagehand."

  3. Fighting A Darkness Within

“Darkness is drawn to light, but light does not know it; light must absorb the darkness and therefore meet its own extinguishment.” - Edna O'Brien, In the Forest

Nynaeve had found herself in a forest not far from the Mother Grove. While she really did not know why she was there, the pink haired woman allowed her feet to move forward on their own. Her emerald green eyes would glance about the darkened trees. The moon sat above her, full and gleaming. A noise would sound, though she would not be afraid. “A night animal, probably a wolf, hunting for it’s prey.” she would mumble softly.

Nyn continued on, her body never faulting or stopping. She seemed to be in search of something, however, she did not know what it was. The woman just knew she was looking for something. Her eyes would glance towards the sound of a branch breaking close to her, unable to see in the darkness despite the fact the moon lit up the darkness like the sun itself.

“Must have been a raccoon.” she’d say, unknown to the thing stalking her in the dead of the night. She sighed softly, her bare feet throbbing from the constant movement. “Perhaps I should think of something else. Something more…” she stopped again, hearing a mumble from the trees beside her. She turned, only to hear a sudden hiss and ping of something striking the ground beside her.

In an instant, the world seemed to still. From the darkness came a man dressed in armor. Her emerald green would begin to turn and glow a periwinkle color. The man chuckled, tilting his head.

“And what brings a pretty, young woman out in the forests alone?”

Nynaeve would sit in silence as she stared at the armor clad man, thinking of what she should do. Should he make a run for it? Hopefully she wasn’t too far from the grove. No, he would hit her with his arrows before she could possibly even make it. Her ears flicked, as if listening to check if anyone else was with them.

“Are you frightened, young ‘Ame? Think someone else is with us?” The man would laugh darkly, his helmet hiding his eyes even though she knew he was staring directly at her. His eyes, glowing red orbs from beyond the darkness of metal. He was no ordinary being, not in the slightest. However, it seemed the red glow was just her mind playing tricks on her. She blinked, his helmet now dark where she could not see his eyes.

“Why do you stay silent. I normally enjoy a conversation before I strike to kill.”

Nyn would slowly raise her hand, swallowing in nervousness. This was a moment in which she could not be scared of the outcome. She knew this would be a battle for her life. Her periwinkle eyes would continue to watch the man as he moved to notch another arrow against his bow.

“I see your movements, Druid. I know what you could possibly do. Go ahead and try, I’d like to see what you can do before I take you down.”

Nynaeve willed for roots to come out of the ground, she willed for nature to be on her side this night. She willed for her to live and breath. She was determined not to lose this fight. The roots, by her will and her requests, would sharpen and stay around her. The man laughed hysterically.

“You think petty roots can do damage to me, Mali? You think you can protect yourself with them?” He stepped forward, causing Nyn to step back.

The forest seemed to be silent, nothing happening around her now. The roots were the only thing she would hear, the hum of nature deep within her ears. She could run for it, using the roots as a distraction. Nyn could also fight and win, even though she was sure this being was not natural. What could she do? She was lost. She was so lost.

Yet, a thrill sparked in her. A thirst for something she had been needing. A want to make this man scream. A darkness in Nyn, slowly rising to the surface.

The roots would surge forward as Nyn pointed her hand. The man seemed ready, moving to the left and running forward, a sword in his hands. Wait, did he have a sword before. No. No, he couldn’t have. The pinkette would blink, trying to jump out of the way but to no avail. Her side would be sliced open by the sword, a gasp of pain coming from her.

The thrill of blood being drawn. The pain satisfying her hunger.

Nynaeve shook her head, processing what had just happened. She couldn’t die here, not like this. She had children to take care of and a job to do.

And yet she wished for him to slice her open again.

The roots would move forward again, this time from behind the man. They would clink against his armor as she tried to knock him off balance. For a moment, it worked. The elfess took this chance to get away, even though she knew with her bleeding side she couldn’t get far. She found herself behind a tree panting. The pain was still there.

But she loved it, every ounce of it. It reminded her she was alive.

She had to find a way back to the Grove. A way home so she would be safe. A way-

“A cat and mouse game...so appropriate, Nynaeve.”

How did he know her name? She never spoke or said it, yet here he was calling her out. She held her bleeding side, praying to the Aspects that he wouldn’t find her. He couldn’t find her, shouldn’t fight her.

“You are probably praying to the Aspects. Probably wishing Artimec...or Sharr….or even Illarun would come to save you. You are so weak, Nynaeve. Such a weak and pitiful woman.”

The voice had changed. It grew lighter, much lighter. More feminine. Nyn’s ears flicked as something came crashing to her head, her ear getting cut and a ring sounding loudly. The figure’s sword had hit the tree she was hiding behind.

She pulled away, staggering a bit as Nyn looked to the armored being now. It was smaller, much more her size. The helmet was raised and there staring back at her…

    Was herself.

What magic(s) will you be teaching?: Communion & Control

Summarise the Lore of this magic(s):

    Nature's Communion

Nature's Communion is where you are connected to the life of the nature around them. They can listen, feel, and even communicate with the nature and animals around them. This is the first step into Druidism. When a person is first attuned, this is the very first thing they learn how to do. It will be hard for a newly attuned Druid to understand nature and animals at first, but with time and experience it will become clearer to the Druid as to what Nature is saying.

    Control of Nature

Control of Nature is the gift of being able to ask nature requests to help them keep the balance. One cannot really control nature, but the Druid is allowed to make requests and commune with plants to try and get the gain of what the Druii needs. A Druid learning Control of Nature could start with growing a simple seed into a flower to ending up growing a tree in time. It is difficult, but in time a Druid can do much with this gift.

Write up a lesson that your character would give to a student:

Nynaeve would take her student to a garden that she knows of. The Elfess would smile gently as she took a seat in the grass, motioning for the student to do the same. "Now that you can hear the hum of the nature around you, it is time for you to learn how to communicate with it." Nyn would begin as she pulled out a few seeds from her satchel bag. Her eyes would soon take on a periwinkle glow as she looked to the student. "You first need to connect to the nature around you. You do this by clearing your mind of everything but the sound of the nature around you."

The student would nod, closing their eyes and taking a deep breath. Nyn would wait for them to open their eyes and take on the colored glow of their eyes to indicate they are connected. "Good, now...this is the harder part since you are newly attuned. Take one of these seeds and hold it in your hand. You will try and focus on the hum this seed has. It is very much different from the rest of nature around you. Once you have it, you will then ask it to grow."

The student would then blink in confusion, however would stare at the seeds. They would then reach out to take a seed and hold it in their palm. Nyn would see the nervousness in their eyes as they stared at the seed. "You can do it...the Aspects have granted you the gifts to commune with the nature around you and ask it for favours." The student nodded slowly, taking a breath before now focusing on the seed. It would take a few moments before the seed began to hum softly, causing Nyn to smile.

Slowly, roots and a stem would crack out of the seed in the hand of her student. It would grow slowly, the student's forehead slowly starting to bead with sweat. As the plant continued to grow, the leaves would sprout from the stem as would a small bud. Nyn's ears would twitch slightly as her grin grew, her happiness continuing to build. The student before her would continue to sweat as they focused harder on the plant.

At last, the flower would bloom. Nyn would clap, grinning to the student. "That was amazing! You did very- oh..." Nyn blinked as she watched the person topple over in exhaustion. The woman would move over to a stream and collect some water in her waterskin before walking back to the student. She would sit, moving the student to lay their head in her lap and placing the water skin on their forehead.

"You have a long way to go...but I am very proud of what you did today. Rest now, dear."

  6. Nynaeve Sagehand would walk up to the ballet box, smiling softly. She played with a necklace around her neck, black amethyst would sparkle in the sunlight. She would write with her delicate hand as she smiled. "I vote for Gilondir" would be on the front of the paper and on the back "Nynaeve Sagehand".

"Good luck to you, my dear Gilondir." she would say as she managed to disappear into the crowd. She knew her vote might not mean anything, but she would at least try.

    ----

Moiraine would roll her eyes as she walked up to the ballet box. She would also vote for Gilondir. "You are still the nicer one of them all."

    Spoiler

Moiraine was the one to vote in the poll, the rest of my post didn't go through.

  7. Nyn found herself in the library on a quiet afternoon. No one was home, as per usual. The house was silent save for her moving about and organizing things. The blonde would be humming a soft tune from her past, a gentle smile on her face. It was nice to have some sort of peace once in awhile, however, Nyn often spent her time alone. Linandria had just become a place of heartbreak and pain for her. Too many things were said to her there, so much so that she had just decided to separate herself completely from the city itself.

She never wanted things to turn like this. Long ago, during a much happier time, people would talk to her much more kindly.

Her hand would move to pull a box of paintings and drawings down from a shelf that she had placed there once the library had been finished. A sadness would grace her features despite the smile on her face. A drawing of when she was in the Sirame was found there, which was dated to be right before Virinya was born. Nyn continued looking in the box and gave a gentle chuckle as she pulled one she had drawn of Damai when they were together along with the flower he gave her when they parted.

Damai was her first in many ways. Her first significant other and her first in more...intimate ways. She loved him more than she ever would have loved herself. Giving a sigh, she would place the picture down on the floor beside her with the other one. He made her feel so complete before breaking her heart into a million pieces.

“If only I had been more for you, maybe my life wouldn’t be so out of control. Then again, if I had done more and we stayed together...I wouldn’t have Virinya.” she spoke gently to herself. “I just wish you would have told me why you wanted to leave me. I’m sorry if it was my fault, Damai. I really am.”

Another picture would be pulled from the box, which made her give a small laugh. Drawn on the parchment was images of her and Jeremi as they played in the square. Her emerald green eyes would sparkle slightly as she stared at the image. She remembered how much fun they had together back then. He was her first love, despite the fact of being a Valah. During that time, Nyn knew interbreeding was wrong and went with the decision to not act upon her feelings. She went with Damai and Jeremi disappeared for thirty years. Nyn’s gaze would look towards the library door. He had returned recently, however the woman never recognized him. He was graying and much older than before. He remembered her singing voice. She smiled softly, thinking to herself. ‘I only have a few years left with him. They will be like a blink of an eye to me, but I will make them the best last years of his life. I will make sure he has a bed to sleep in and good food to eat. I will be there with him until his last breath and give him a good burial in my garden…’ she thought, soon opening her mouth to speak.

“Jeremi, I will be there with you until your end. I will lay beside you until you find yourself eternal sleep. I’m sorry I couldn’t find you sooner than now. You are going to pass away in a blink of an eye for me and there is nothing I can do to stop it. I’m sorry you have to live a shorter life than me, Jeremi….I wished for s to be able to play music forever.”

Nyn sighed, wiping away a small tear from her eyes. She shook her head as her hand went back into the box. She pulled out a drawing of Artimec sitting at the shrine. The woman smiled as she stared at the image, her hand tracing along the form of him with her fingertips. Artimec always seemed to be the one who believed in her the most. He was always there when she needed guidance, there he was. He was there when she first entered the city and invited her to a feast that she didn’t feel like she deserved to be at since she was new and all, however she didn’t decline due to him being the High Prince at the time. Nyn chuckled at the memory of Arianna telling her to not fall for his charms. Well, that was the nicer way to put it. He was her mentor when she decided to become a Druid, he was there when she felt like all hope was lost after Damai had left her. Artimec became her rock and sanctuary.

Her eyes continued to stare at the image, smiling at the other memories that popped into her head. She admired the man more than she should have. ‘I fell for him in more ways than one…’ Nyn admitted silently. She trusted Artimec Caerme’onn with her life. ‘You saved me in more ways than you would ever imagine Art.’ she thought and it was the truth. He had saved her from herself on countless occasions. When Saendir came to her and told her the truth about the Orc, she tried to kill herself at the shrine. Artimec managed to show up just in time and snap her out of it. When Jackal found her in the garden during the month of Ortheri’s birthday, he and Glee had found her hung in the tree by her shattered and pulled her down. They got her down and fixed her up. He told her he would be there to protect her always, but Nyn would shake her head a bit at the memory.

“You are someone I love dearly, Artimec. But I have to learn to protect myself. I need to make myself stronger...so I can protect you instead. That was my vow. To be by your side until the end. Where you go, I follow. My life is yours and I will give my life for you.” she muttered. “I am sorry for all the drama I cause. I am someone who needs to be helping fix the problems, not make them worse...but it continues to happen. I want to be able to spend time with you again, but I am scared you are avoiding me because I can’t seem to keep out of trouble...I’m sorry, Artimec….for failing you.”

The blonde elfess would yawn a bit before going back to pulling out another picture. She smiled softly as she stared at the image of J’alan and herself on their wedding day. He was her first husband, someone she loved dearly. They had met one day in the square and talked, Nynaeve became interested in him immediately. He was attractive and kind. He also enjoyed music just as much and she did. They hooked up a few times, which made Nyn feel extremely happy. In her mind, she was experiencing an actual love again. She had become pregnant with Virinya shortly before they actually married. The wedding was nice, the marriage was nice. However, J’alan had disappeared right afterwards and Nyn had Virinya without him present. It was four long years before Nyn saw him again. She let him know how she felt, however he disappeared again.

“But I felt you had abandoned me like Damai did, so I moved on. We had a bad falling out, but I loved you nonetheless. I’m sorry for causing you so much heartache after this. I’m sorry for leaving you. I failed you as a wife, I wasn’t loyal to you.”

Setting the picture aside, she would find one of Awaiti when she was so small. It seemed like only yesterday Nyn was holding her in her lap and petting her hair or singing her a lullaby. Glancing on the image, she noticed it was two stuck together and she grinned when she saw the other one. Virinya and Awaiti sitting together in their living room. The two girl’s were Nyn’s pride and joy. Despite not seeing Virinya in a while, the woman still loved her with all her heart. Awaiti had followed the same path as Nyn and became a Druid. She was so proud of her daughter, which granted a huge grin from the woman that quickly faded to a sad one. Instead of joining Sagehand like Virinya did, Awaiti chose to join Aureon. It was a heartbreak for her, but that is what Awaiti truly wanted to do.

She remembered Virinya’s first steps and her first words, but now she was in her twenties and travelled around a lot more. Her memories would flash to Awaiti now. The girl’s mother had disappeared when she had met her. She seemed so small and gentle that Nynaeve couldn’t help but take a liking to her immediately. Nyn had so many regrets in her life when it came to the girls. She wished she could have done better for them and give them a better life. Closing her eyes, Nyn would hold the pictures close to her chest. The woman’s memories of her adopted daughter were precious to her, much like the ones of Virinya. She took a breath as she recalled the day she had to bring Awaiti’s biological mother’s body back for her to identify, promising to always protect her and taking her in as one of her own. The fights she had with Lavinia over the fact that the child was hers, no matter if she was blood or not. She remembered teaching her and Virinya of the Aspects and the day they did their oaths to be Aspectist. Nyn was so proud of them that she felt nothing but joy that entire month. The memory of her and Awaiti talking about what Nyn was going to do for her Grand Task to become a Druid and being attacked by those men on the horses. Oh, how she wished she could have done more.

“Virinya, I had to tell you Saendir wasn’t your father. I had to give you the bad news of his passing and in turn you lost your brother. I wish I could have been there more for you. I wish that J’alan hadn’t of disappeared so you could have gotten to know him better.” she would say softly. “Awaiti, I failed you by not bringing your biological mother back alive. I failed you when I couldn’t stop those men on the horses attacking us. I failed you by not staying with Saendir or doing more the save Ortheri. I am so sorry...I hope being an Aureon will make you happier than it ever made me. Which it also means I’m going to have to stop trying to take care of you...I will always be your mother, but you have to find your own way.”

Nyn would set the drawing aside and pull out another. A drawing of Lyemar would be there with him sitting in the garden. She smiled softly as she stared at it. He was her third husband, one she regrets ever hurting. She wanted nothing more than to help him. He was there after Saendir had passed away. He picked up the pieces of her heart and glued them back in place. He helped her see it was never her fault. He showed her the brighter things in life when the darkness consumed her. A light in a tunnel, a beacon. She came to love him but was too scared at first to admit it. Finally, when they had married, Nyn believed the world and the thing around her would look up.

She sighed softly, remembering how it all fell apart after a few short months. After Jackal had attacked and she was in the clinic recovering, Lyemar had been brought in with a cross scar on his cheek. She was unconscious at the time, but when she woke up she was fearful of what had happened. He was not the same after that and would go into trances. He hardly ate, which frightened her. The only thing she could really think of though is how he had been off protecting some other woman instead of being there when Nyn needed him. She was jealous and angry at him, but once she saw how bad it really was...she had regretted ever feeling that way. It was then she had tried to help him in anyway she could, even taking advice from the woman who was there when he apparently died and was brought back by some sort of necromancer. She tried to snap him out of his trance by pulling at his hair like Ana had told her to. When that didn’t work, she had retrieved a mental mage to try and get him to forget the horrible memories that haunted him.

Shakily, Nyn would slowly move to set the drawing down beside the one of J’alan. She recalled the day he had accused of trying to kill him when she only wanted to help. Of course, she never blamed him for feeling that way. That was her fault by not telling him of her plan first. She regretted ever doing what Ana said. The day Lyemar ended things, Nyn never tried to reason with him. She knew she had done wrong. Instead of going to him about her problems, she went to others. She broke his trust and everything they had built together.

“Lyemar, I’m so sorry I did this to you. I wanted nothing more than to help you. I didn’t want to burden you with my problems because I knew you didn’t need it. You had your own things to worry about. I wanted to make sure you were all right. I never should have gotten Cheza. I never should have listened to Ana’s letter. I should ahve found my own way to help you instead. I loved you with everything I had and more. I’m sorry I failed you.”

Nyn would rub her face slightly as she continued rummaging through the box. A drawing of Ortheri walking to Lyemar was there. She sniffled slightly, smiling weakly. A child who was so full of life that was taken too soon. Her heart slowly started to ache as she stared at the photo. She would then pull out his baby bottle, looking to it. She was just starting to see him walk and hear him talk. He was happy and energetic. He loved the garden and music, everything that she liked and more. Ortheri was loving to all who had crossed his path and wanted everyone to hold him. She remembered the day he took his first steps to Lyemar, when he said ‘Dada’ to Saendir, and the day he called her ‘Mama’. Her lips would tremble slightly, remembering the day Nazorean had struck his head. He had been sleeping peacefully in Awaiti’s arms when it happened. At first, everything seemed normal. Ortheri was crying, of course, and Nyn was trying to keep calm from killing Nazorean right then and there. It was when her son had passed out cold and his breath started to change that she knew something was wrong.

They rushed him to the clinic, Elawynn and Ian were with her and Calius as she laid the child on the bed. He had been injured in the brain, causing horrible damage to it. Nazorean had managed to hit the soft spot in his head. Ela tried to heal him, but due to her own pregnancy Ian had held her back. Calius wrote to a man called Izier, who came and did a small healing on Ortheri before giving Ela the okay to try it herself. She was...unfortunately too late. They had been arguing for a good while before Ela could try and help him.  Nyn sighed a bit as she laid the picture and bottle aside. At least the cleric was able to ease him on any pain before he passed in Nyn’s arms.

“Ortheri, I am so sorry I was not able to protect you. You never got to see the full extent of life nor did you get to experience it. My poor son, you will never get to be in love or learn how to fight with a sword. You won’t ever get to learn of nature or the Aspects. You won’t have the life I hoped for you. I hope you and your father are happy up there together where you can play with him all you wish. You….finally get to see him again after asking when he would be home...but it is you who went home to him.”

The woman would wipe the tears from her eyes as she pulled more things out of the box. Pictures of other people who she had close relations to in her life. There was a picture of all the Aureons, making Nyn smile a bit. The first seed she ever joined that made her feel like home for a time. Leo was always a wonderful brother and friend to her, however things were different between them now. Much more formal and proper. There was Lavinia, who hated her. Nyn stared at her image before shaking her head. The elfess could never hate Lavi because she was the one who caused all the problems and she had a right to hate her. Nynaeve knew she screwed everything up for the Aureons, failing them. Meriel and Khiara were in the image as well. Nyn would sigh softly as she stared at the figures in the drawing. Meri had always been a good sister to Nyn and, again, it was her that screwed things up. The same went with Khiara. Nyn loved her like her own, but failed to show her how much she loved her.

“I wish I could have been a better sister and Seed member to you all. I wish I could make up for all the wrongs I have done to you. If it wasn’t for me, you all might still have Saendir...and Ortheri. I’m sorry Meri for anything I did to hurt you. Khiara, I am sorry for never being able to show you how much I cared for you.”

A drawing of Eandyil would be next to exit the box. Nyn would chuckle a bit as she stared at it. He was her brother in so many ways and a close friend. He was goofy and fun to be around. He was also a good listener. All she could remember was the times they would just sit and talk to one another, how much she wanted to help him get better after Meriel’s death.

“I hope you are doing well, Ean. I know we just recently talked, but I never got to express how happy I am that you are back around.”

Images of Aenor, Rhalathas, and Care were next. Rha was the only blood relative left to Nyn. They were once very close, however had drifted apart over the years. She had wanted to become close to him, seeing as how they were the only family they had left. She would remember getting to know him, the happiness she felt when she seen she wasn’t alone anymore and had someone who shared the same blood as her.

Aenor was someone Nyn considered like a father to her. He had been there to give her advice when she needed it. He treated her with kindness. She smiled as she remembered the conversations they had  in the past, the way she felt safe to tell him things that she only felt comfortable telling Artimec or Saendir.

Nyn’s emerald eyes would look to Care’s figure on the parchment now. Her happy smile turned much sadder. She had no clue what she did to get Care to hate her so much. Nyn had always viewed her as a sister since she was with Rhalathas. She remembered the things Care had said to her, the mean comments and snarky remarks. All Nyn could do was sit there in silence. However, she could never bring herself to hate Care or despise her for the things she said about her.

“Rha, I am sorry I never was able to be a good cousin to you. We have grown apart and I feel as if it is my fault. I wanted us to be close family since we are all we had left. I guess I somehow screwed that up.” she would sigh a bit. “Aenor, you have been such an inspiration for me….I wish we could somehow talk more. I know you are busy and I am sorry for always coming to you about my problems.” Nyn would brush the gray streak of hair out of her face as she looked back to Care’s image. “Care, I have no clue what I did wrong….but I probably deserved it. I wanted you to like me so badly. I wanted you to see me as a sister figure as well since Rha was more of a brother to me. I wish I could have gained some sort of trust from you.”

Chuckling a bit, she stared at an image of Rosie and Yelfir from the box. Rosie had been her first kiss, someone who had always wanted to show her the ropes when it came to intimate things. Yelfir was that calmness that seemed to fit perfectly with Rosie’s outgoingness. Nyn remembered when Rosie had kissed her and had completely taken her by surprise. She laughed softly, remembering how bad she felt at the fact that Damai couldn’t have gotten it. Yelfir had always seemed to be there when Nyn needed someone to help her collect her thoughts. She sighed, setting the picture down.

“Rosie, I never should have let what happened in the clinic...well...happen. I should have just continued with the craziness you were doing. You were always like a mother figure to me and I know I must have ruined something for you that day. Yelfir, you have been someone I considered like a Maln to me. You guided me through tough times and taught me how to focus on things when I was attuned along with Abelas. I am so sorry for the things that you had to go through when it came to Eris. I am sorry for arguing with you. I wish we could rekindle the friendship we had.”

Another picture, this time of Calius sitting on the fountain, would find itself in Nynaeve’s hand. Her eyes scanned it as her lips would slowly move into another smile. He had been there for her when she was having a hard time with Saendir’s passing. He helped her bury Ortheri and was there when he died. He gave her kindness in her time of grief and taught her how to use her gifts to grow flowers from seeds.

“Calius, you are one of the few people I would ever trust with my life. You have been a wonderful mentor to me and I wish I could have done so much more to thank you for it. You gave me the opportunity to be a Stewardess and I ruined it with my anger. I am sorry I failed you, Calius. I wanted to make you proud of me…”

Images of Ruin and Liewyn were next. Ruin was Calius’ son and Liewyn was Ara’s daughter. Nyn failed Lie when she left Aureon. Lie hated her because of Saendir’s death and her desertion of the Seed. The blond sighed softly and her finger ran along the drawing. She had been there to try and comfort Ruin after his mother’s passing. He had become like a son to her especially after Nyn lost Ortheri. She hadn’t seen either of them for some time.

“Lie...I am sorry I failed you like I did. I was thinking of myself and my own pain when I left Aureon that I didn’t seem to realize how much it had affected you. You have every right to hate me. I wish I could make it up to you somehow.” She now glanced at the image of Ruin. “Ruin, I wanted to make sure you knew you were loved by someone who you could consider a mother figure. I overstepped my boundaries and Liewyn was right. I am not Nora and I never will be. I hope I get to see you again one day, because you were such a good kid to be around.”

Redrielln, the next image that found itself out of the box, was someone Nyn became close to during the time she had become pregnant with Virinya. He was a good doctor, someone who cared a lot for others. She chuckled a bit as she remembered actually having a small crush on him at some point. Sadly, her memories with him were some what foggy, as she had been busy with so many things.

“I wish I could talk to you again. You were always such a good friend to me. You helped me a lot when it came to Virinya. I miss you, Red. I’m sorry I didn’t talk to you more.”

Erolas had always been a close friend of hers, someone who she has always enjoyed talking to. He was understanding and thoughtful. He cared for her like a brother would and she smiled as she remembered the conversations they had about the stars and the ancestors, what he believed in, and the Aspects. He had told her once that she was someone who had shown him kindness when no one else would, since he was a Warhawke and others had apparently disliked them. She smiled sadly as she ran her hand along the drawing. She had fallen in love with him, but caused him great strife. It was because of her that things went sour in his relationships. Nyn felt it was best to just...leave and never look back towards Leyu’celia or contact him in fear of causing more trouble for him.

“We had such a great friendship, Erolas. If it hadn’t of been for my selfishness and my want to be happy, I wouldn’t have done what I did to cause us to not talk anymore. I miss you, my brother and close friend. I hope that somehow we will be able to talk again and be like we used to..”

Nyn would set the image aside and pick up another. Dwyn was someone who she publically called ‘Maln’. He had pretty much taken her under his wing and cared for her like a father would. She remembered him doing her and Saendir’s wedding. Nyn smiled as she recalled how he made the flowers bloom around them when they said ‘I do’. She remembered telling him how Saendir had passed away and he had cheated on her and of when she cried against him when she had to tell him that Ortheri had been killed.

Beside him in the picture was Quavinir, who had become another parental figure in Nyn’s life. He was a caring person, someone who always told her about things that could possibly happen in the future. What did happen in the future. He knew Lyemar would leave her, much like she figured he knew Saendir would as well.

“You two have been wonderful to me. I am sorry I keep bringing issues to you that you don’t need to hear. I’m sorry for constantly following those same patterns you see in life, Quav. I’m sorry, Maln, for always telling you about things that happen to me. I know I’m trouble, but I thank you for being there for me.”

Finally, Nyn had made it to the bottom of the box. On the bottom was a letter, which made her tilt her head in confusion. She would slowly take it out and open it. A drawing of Saendir and Nyn would fall out of the pages, causing Nyn to clench her jaw. He was her second husband and the man she loved with everything she ever had. She loved him before J’alan or Damai, she just didn’t know it yet. He had warned her of Damai and the things people were saying about them. He was there for her when J’alan disappeared and helped her take care of Virinya when she was born. Saendir did everything for Nyn and loved her even when she wasn’t his.

He was the one who had shattered her more than J’alan or Lyemar ever did. She trusted him with everything she had and he managed to break it and tear it from her. The first time he cheated on her was with Tirira. She was someone who knew Saendir was taken but still managed to seduce him anyway. The second time was with an Orc. Nyn’s heart shattered and was never able to be the same since then. Her trust and any ounce of hope that someone loved her or would ever love her had vanished from her mind.

Nyn’s shaky hand would stare at the image of her and him. How happy they were in that time. That much happier time when Nyn felt the world was a beautiful. That skies were blue and flowers were vibrant. Life was beautiful because he made it beautiful for her.

Her eyes went to the letter. As she read the words, her eyes would slowly tear up. He knew he was in the wrong and he knew he was going to tell her. Her form slowly started to shake as her eyes scanned the pages slowly. He admitted to making the mistakes.

‘You were the perfect wife for me, Nyn. All I could ever ask for.’

Slowly, the tears would run down her cheeks as she held back the sobs. She hadn’t seen this letter in years. She had found it, read it, then stashed it away where she hoped to never have found it again.

‘I will end everyone’s worries and suffering.’

Her mind would go back to the day he told her about the Orc. How hurt she had been that she had been cheated on the second time. ‘He never loved me,’ she thought to herself. ‘He never loved me and he only wanted to use me. If he loved me, he would have never cheated on me and left me alone.’ Nyn would try to stop from sobbing in case anyone was in the manor.

‘Know that I’ll always love you and be your husband in both life and death, Nyn. My heart belongs to you.’

“I was never perfect for you…” she cried softly to herself. Tears would roll down her face. “I was never perfect for anyone in my life.”

‘Take good care of our children. I know you probably won’t find someone again, but if you do, make sure you really love each other. I don’t want you to suffer heartbreak.’

Nynaeve would cry harder and harder as she continued to read the letter. Her heart would ache much like it did when she remembered Ortheri, but much...much worse. “How could you ever think I wouldn’t suffer after you, Saendir. How could you ever think I would be okay after you passed. You left me alone...broken and scattered. I have never been the same since you did this to me. I am scared to trust. I am scared to love and try and make things work. I am terrified of ever giving myself to someone else because you made me terrified!” she sobs hard, the tears dripping onto the letter.

‘Will you please forgive me one day?’

Nyn’s hands went to cover her face, her sobbing still audible for anyone who had entered the home. How could she ever forgive him after everything he did to her. The false sense of love, the heartbreak, the lying, the cheating. What in his right mind thought that she could ever bring herself to forgive him in any lifetime.

‘We’ll meet again either in life or in death. Love you, Nynaeve’

“If I was perfect for you, why did you do this to me!” she screamed, hoping he could hear her in some way shape or form. “How could you abandon me after I gave everything I had for you. I loved you! I wanted to give you the world! I wanted to give you the sun, the moon….hell even the stars if I could! I wanted to make you happy and keep you….WHY DID YOU BREAK ME INTO A MILLION PIECES!”

Her voice echoed throughout the manor, her hands clutching her head now. “Why did you break me. Why did you do this, Saendir. I l-loved...you...I loved you more than I loved myself.”

The sobs would continue to fill the library for a bit before silence finally graced the manor once more. Nyn sitting with her back against a wall and her arms wrapped around her knees. Her head would be resting on her forearms for a bit. She slowly fell asleep and began to dream of happier times…

She woke up hours later, staring at the drawings and items on the floor. Her eyes would glance to the letter as she picked it up and put it back in the box. Nyn would move to place everything she had pulled out back into the box gently.

“I have new memories to make. New things to be happy for. I have a family that love me and need me to be strong and happy. I have children to look after. I have goals I wish to achieve and things I need to do. I can’t keep doing this to myself when it was all in the past. My life cannot be full of sadness and sorrow to things of the past anymore. I am building a Seed and a home. I am a Naelurir Priestess. My job is to teach others about the Aspects. I protect the natural order.”

She continued to place the things in the box. Her gray streak falling into her face. Once she was finished with putting everything away, Nynaeve would lift the box back in it’s place on the shelf. Her eyes would stare at it gently.

“No more shall I cry tears over someone’s harsh words. No more shall I be brought down by people who hate and scorn me. I have people who care and love me for who I am. I have a seed to run. I have a job to do. I have a goal to achieve. I will not run and hide anymore. They will never tear down who I am again. They can call me a ***** and a bad mother all they want. I did good with my children. They will see their words no longer affect me anymore. I will stand tall, I will defend myself in the proper way. I will not lose my temper and I will be someone who the younger Mali can look up to. That is my purpose. The Aspects brought me here to teach and to care for the others around me. Artimec needs me to be stronger than what I have been.”

The woman would then move to pick up her Raven Staff, fully standing upright. A smile would be on her face and the sparkle would return to her eyes. Her ears would perk back up as she looked to the carving in the wood. Her eyes would look a drawing of herself on the wall, made by Leithlan. It was beautiful, which made Nyn smile gently. Her ears would flicker as she stared at it.

“I will be proud of myself and make the people who love me proud. I won’t let them down anymore. I will not fail them.”

With that, Nynaeve Sagehand would exit the library and head upstairs to greet the morning sun with a smile that she had not worn in a very long time.
