What is roleplaying?: To me it's the act of getting involved in a story by actively interacting with it...in Minecraft's case its the use of a 3D character + lore
What is metagaming?: Using an "out of character" action to interfere with RP (will read up more on this)
What is powergaming?: Going straight in for something (like a King) without following or acknowledging the required RP route or 'proper means'
In-Character Information

Character’s name: James "Cole" Black
Character’s sex: Male
Character’s race: Human
Character’s age: Very late 20's maybe early 30's
Biography: James Black, often self-introduced as 'Cole', has spent most of his life working as a Blacksmith creating a vast array of battle-worthy swords. Any weapon forged by his hand would be given a name; which he is able to remember most of them with great pride. Right or wrong Cole believed that he was able to greatly enhance the attributes of a weapon by naming it. Some folk believe the hype whilst others render him 'just a Blacksmith'. Tales of warriors claiming his forge had the blessing of the Seven Skies was the birth of this rumour...but there is more to Cole than just his blacksmithing. He enjoys fishing and rowing; many of his fishing trips have ended up with him discovering some new town only for the locals, upon his arrival home, to say that his stories of such towns were nothing more than myths.
Determined to prove his validity of his travels (and likely a hope of validity of his 'blessed' forge) Stocking up in chests as he goes, Cole decided to go on a journey to bring back souvenirs of his great discoveries. Little did he know he'd be gone for so long...
