I like the fact that we're not to bring real world events/clebrities etc into the game. I think that makes the online world even more 'real' as it will have its own events and celebrities to talk about.

How did you find out about Lord of the Craft?
I have been looking for a roleplay server for awhile. I have done a lot of googling and have seen this server highly rec.

What is roleplaying?:
I create a character and have them interact in a world based on what their preferences and personality are. I will make my character behave and react in a way based on their stats. Taking on the characters personality while I am in game.
What is metagaming?:
Using information that I as a person have revieved outside of the game in game through my in game character. EX. I read on skype that such and such person will be attacking this other person at this time so I make sure my character is there to fight and share the spoils when my in game character wouldn't have had that info.
What is powergaming?:
It is where I disregard the roleplay of another character in favour of my own advancement in game. EX: I hit and "kill" another player and declare myself the victor before they have a chance to react or roleplay back to me in their character.

I'm adventurous and gloomy. This isn't surprising considering for someone with my dreadful past. I was born and grew up in a poor family in a developing city, I lived free of worries until I was about 5 years old, but at that point everything changed.
I lost my parents on our journey to the city of Peremont. They decided to take me there when they heard that it was a safe haven away from the evils of the world. Without them I was forced to survive on my own, scavenging the alleys for crumbs. I have committed crimes to get by when I was hungry and have done things I am not proud of. But I put one foot in front of the other and found myself a rich older gentlemen who thought I was just wonderful.
Did I love him, no, but he provided me a lifestyle that I had only dreamed of as a peasant. You can imagine my surprise when one morning after a particular foul evening we spent together I found his lifeless body laying in our bed. What a tragedy that was..they were new linens. With the money I thought he had left me, I had made plans to travel the world. Little did I know there was nothing left after the old hog passed. I decided to leave and travel anyway before the whispers of his death became too loud.
So now I am alone again, broke again and starting over. I can't imagine having to start over at the bottom and work my way up. I had everything and the taste of peasant doesn't sound too appetizing to my palate.
