             Blight Healing

     

    Describe this magic or a creature as a whole:

             

    Blight healing as a whole is a subsection of Druidism, that one may learn after progressing to a certain level within basic Communion and Control. The basis of these abilities are to help revitalize corrupted nature. Land that has been destroyed or corrupted in some way, this can be through dark magics or even mundane things such as a large fire passing through the area. While this is a subjection of Communion and Control, learning this ability does take up one slot out of the Five that a character has. Most of these abilities deal with either purging taint, or cleansing the land. Bringing life back into the ground and allowing for new plants to grow and take root with the aid of a druid. These abilities can also be used to purge and cleanse animals and fae-creatures to some extent, though they will not work on descendants at all.  Though unlike other abilities, abilities from this subsection are more taxing upon the druid that is using them. 

     

    Are there different sections or subsections of magic? Can those be elaborated upon?

             

    There are no subjections of this magic as they all deal with the same thing, though this magic is needed to be able to learn the Mani Feat. A Druid must have reached T5 in blight healing, and know all of the abilities before they can learn the ability to summon a mani.

     

    Can you give an example of a casting emote, of a spell of your choice?

             

    Purging

     

    Eryn would let out a soft breath as he walked up to the area filled with death and decay. His softly glowing eyes looking around the remains of the battle that now left the land ruined. Shaking his head he would breath in slowly, his eyes in turning beginning to glow brighter as his focus now came to his duties.


    As the Elder Druid's focus now came to the land. Blue whisps of energy began to flow of his form, almost like drops of rain that seemed to roll down his arms and fall to the ground. Though they didn't splatter and fade, they seemed to hang there just above the ground, almost as if pooling together.

    Eryn's breathing became a bit more labored, though that did not stop him from the task at hand. His arm moving and stretching outward as the mass of energy began to take on the form of a pool of water. Every drop that rolled into it causing it to ripple and expand outward, though that wasn't all. The pool itself began to shift, as if it was moving out to begin centering itself within the ruined landscape.

     

    The pool of water continued to grow larger and larger, as more energy pooled into it. Finally though it seemed to reach an apex, with one final ripple Eryn would lower his hand as the energy in turn followed suit. Slowly sinking into the ground and vanishing from sight.

    The Elder Druid would now seem to stagger back, falling to take a seat as his eyes lost their glow. Though they remained forward as they watched his work. The dull and dead landscape seemed to slowly shift, the ruined and tainted ground now shifting in hue from dark grays to a more lively green tone. Signaling that the soil, and land here was revitalized, slowly returning back to the way it was before the incident that brought it to ruin had occurred. 
     

     

     

    Can you give an example of a teaching-emote (interacting with another) of a spell of your choice?

             

    Blooming

     

    Eryn would take a seat beneath a tree within the grove. His hand holding onto some kind of a stick as he regarded his student who now sat across from him motioning for them to get comfortable as he greeted them. "Karin'ayla, I hope you're ready to learn, today is the first lesson of blight healing, and possibly the most important one."

    The student would seem to be a bit confused, there brow perking up a bit, "Um teacher, we're sat here in the grove, there isn't anything tainted or destroyed around us, save for what looks to be a stick in your hands."

    "Right you are my student. This stick here is going to be your lesson for today. I am going to teach you how to take a dying, or dead stick such as this and revitalize it. This is the fundamental of these abilities, learning how to cleanse and bring back land that has been corrupted or ruined." Nodding his head Eryn would shift the stick from his lap to his student's hands.

    HIs student looked down at the burnt stick in their hands, now confused before looking back up. "So what exactly do you want me to do with this. It looks pretty far gone to me already."

    "Well be that as it may, we can still save this branch. Go ahead, connect to the songs around you, deepen your connection like you would when you use any of your gifts." Waiting patiently for his student to do such. Nodding as they did connect fully to the songs of nature around them.

    "Now then, I want you to focus, some forth the natural energy stored within you, from around us in and focus it around the branch. Once you've built up enough of that, then we'll let it absorb into the branch and you'll watch as the energy helps it come back to life." Eryn would explain as his student watched him closely. Motioning with his hands for his pupil to try he would then grow silent.

    Over the next several minutes, (8 Emotes) The student would listen to the instructions given by Eryn. Connecting, gathering the energy around the branch and then allowing it to flow into it. Watching as the tip began to grow new leaves and spring back from the very grasp of death that it had been in before.

     

     

    Say your student powergames during or after teaching, how do you reprimand that?

             

    If I find that my student is power gaming. I will sit them down and explain to them what they did and how it was not to the lines of the lore. I would go back over the abilities and such that they had power gamed and give examples on how the magic should actually, and properly be used. I would also explain to them that if they continue to not  follow the guidelines of the lore that they would be reported to the St. If I heard that they had power gamed the magic yet again after this follow up lesson I would instantly bring it to the st, along with explaining how I had tried to reteach them so that they did not make such a mistake again.

  3. [!] A small clay sorvian no more than one foot tall would make it's way towards where Cain resides. The creature wearing a small purple sweater and carrying with it a letter for the man. It would offer the letter out and then turn to take it's leave once it had been delivered.

    "Dearest Cain,

                I do hope this letter finds you well, and that you're enjoying your days since I last saw you. I was intrigued when I saw you post this letter of sorts to the masses. I've seen such things before and I've never really entertained the thought of replying to such missives that are placed over the lands. Though this one intrigued me as I've a growing curiosity for all things alchemical, and especially all things that are related to the different constructs in the land. You see I feel as if I've grown stagnant in my own studies. As if things have begun to slow down and I've been unable to grow in any particular direction. It would seem that I've become slothful and forgotten that even I still need to study and learn day by day.

              Well enough of my rattling on, I wish to put my name forward in the hopes that you might pick me and teach me a few things. Even if not as an official student I would still love to learn and expand my horizons in knowledge of any kind. Even if not I do hope this letter finds you well and I hope to see you again. I enjoyed our meeting last time and would enjoy further talking to you on the topics we discussed before. Perhaps there is some form of knowledge that I could also impart on you should you simply wish to talk and have tea at some point.  Though do be well and I hope your search for students goes well regardless.

    What magic(s) will you be teaching?

             Sorvian Crafting

     

    Describe this magic or a creature as a whole:

             

    Sorvian Crafting is a magic that allows for one to crate constructs. This magic requires that one who becomes a sculptor  understand roughly how the body of a person works. If the sculptor has a decent knowledge of the body they can then craft their construct. Creating first a skeletal body, making sure the bones are connected together and structurally sound, then completely filling in the rest of the body out of clay and creating it's form. The final piece that is needed is the mask that has a pair of eyes and a mouth. The sculptor will then take the mask that they have created, making sure it is to their liking. They will draw their own blood and scribe on the back of it a set of runes, and markings that are personal to only them. Imbuing the mask with a bit of their own soul essences and life force before affixing the mask to the Sorvian itself. Giving life to the creation, the smaller Sorvian's known as newts that are created from this magic cannot speak, and only communicate in generic happy tones of some kind. These types of Sorvians cannot be played. The larger ones require that a player controls them through an accepted CA.

    Can you give an example of a casting emote, of a spell of your choice?

             

     

    Serenity would sit down, looking over the mask that she had made and examining it's structure, curiously making sure the edges were smooth and that the eyes were not to large, that the mouth was just perfect.  Nodding to herself she would flip it over looking over the back as if deciding on something important, her fingers gently tracing along the interior before she stopped as she found a perfect spot right along the forehead of the mask. Picking up a knife she would take it to her finger and do her best to create a clean quick cut allowing for the blood to flow. Slowly, and very deliberately in her actions, Serenity would begin to create different markings along the mask, a set of runes that would mean nothing to anyone as she simply allowed her imagination to flow out of her. Filling her with inspiration before she finished pulling her finger back and putting it against a cloth, satisfied with her work she would carry the mask over to the humanoid construct that rested in the corner, it's features devoid of any great detail, and it's face a blank slate. Pushing the mask against it and watching, she would now wait for it to take hold.

    Serenity would flick her hand motioning to a chair next to the table, upon looking at it a small clay humanoid figure rested upon it along with a knife and a small porcelain mask. She would motion for her student to take a seat as she herself got comfortable in her own chair.

     

    As her student sat down and began to study the objects on the table Serenity would lift up a cup of tea sipping from it "Today I'm going to show you how to give life to a new creation. Something wonderful and exciting that will certainly bring your creative mind joy for the next several decades. Look here upon the table, you'll see all the tools you'll need for the craft, and this time I have provided them for you. This will be the last time as well"

    Watching as her student picked up the small humanoid body then the mask that would seem to fit it's form before looking to Serenity curiously "How do I bring it to life?" They asked their teacher excitedly.

    "It's quiet the interesting process, it requires your imagination to run free during it. You will take that knife and prick your finger with it. Allowing your blood and life essences to run freely from your form. Then focus on nothing in particular, instead choose to focus on that creative side of your mind, bring it to the front of everything. Take the blood and create runes that just come naturally to your mind, don't focus too much on them, don't try to make them perfect. Draw what you see in your mind at that exact moment" Serenity paused as she noted how here student seemed to be a little confused at the thought of just scribbling made up symbols in blood on the mask.

    "In order for you to create life, you must give it a bit of your own. By doing this in such a way that you freely give your imagination and mind to the process, you are imbuing the creation with your own essences. You are giving it a bit of yourself in life. This is personal to everyone who practices such a craft, as you have to personally make it yourself. This gives it your souls essences freely, you are gifting to this creation life in your own way as it comes to your mind." Serenity would simply smile as she watched her student, then instructing them to begin the process of scribing the runes upon the small mask that they held.

    If my student were to be found power gaming with this feat, they would need to be given a refresher course in the basics of the magic. Specifically going over the red lines and the limitations of the magic oocly. After going over these things, and making sure that they understood the proper ways to use this magic, if they still continued to power game and abuse it even after the reteaching oocly then the ST need to be involved. Giving to them all the details and explaining what is happening and how they had been given another teaching oocly based on the red lines.

  6. Once more a lone druid would make his way towards a secluded spot that over looked the ocean. Sitting down he would begin to dig through his bag, much like every time that he had done this before. Carefully setting out glasses, the man would begin to form a circle. One, two, three, eight glasses now rested in a circle around him not including the one that he rested before himself.  Pulling forth a bottle of amber liquid Eryn would begin to pour it into each glass, and like every time he had completed this ritual the faces of those who were no longer with him would begin to appear behind the glass. All of them smiling and holding up their glass in a toast to him, laughing and joking just like they used to in life.

     

    Like every time before the druid's hand was stead as he poured the amber liquid into each glass, though as he reached the sixth he began to shake as the face of a Ker with a bandage covering half his face appeared. The seventh glass came and his hand became more unsteady as the form of Awaiti Sirame settled into the circle of those who seemed to be laughing and sharing in the drinks together, her gaze regarded Eryn as she offered him a warm smile, before his hand reached the either glass. Having to pause to settle his nerves Eryn would breath out as he filled up the cup and the Lioness's form slowly appeared behind it. Andria's gaze seemed to regard him before she would grin and chuckle almost as if in a mocking tone of how shaky and unsteady he was to simply pour her drink. 

    Finally, he made it to his own glass, the only one that would remained empty. His hand shook as he looked over the faces of all those who had long passed on, his friends, his family, those who he considered his closest allies as his hand tipped and the amber liquid began to pour. Missing the glass by a hair as it poured into the dirt and Eryn looked around those who were gathered and now offering a toast up to him. All those who had passed on and returned to dust as he had to keep on, for his duties were Eternal, and there was still much work that he must do before he too could rest. As he finished up his ritual one more time Eryn would stand and turn off, wandering deep into the forest once more lost in his own thoughts.

    - This cannot be used on a tainted soul within this lorepiece refers to any soul of an individual that has/have had a connection to Mysticism, Necromancy, Void Stalking, Naztherak, Azdrazi, or any soul affecting magic. This does not include base Voidal Magic, only Void Stalking. In reference to other lore pieces this also includes ghosts, wights, and ectoplasmic beings. HOWEVER, if they are not actively within this group this ability may still be used upon them.

     

    Can you clarify on this? I am a bit confused on the last line, and I am a bit concerned as well. This seems like a way to simply tell who is a dark mage/creature by simply pouring water on them and saying it didn't work so they must be xyz.
