  3. [!] A small clay sorvian no more than one foot tall would make it's way towards where Cain resides. The creature wearing a small purple sweater and carrying with it a letter for the man. It would offer the letter out and then turn to take it's leave once it had been delivered. "Dearest Cain, I do hope this letter finds you well, and that you're enjoying your days since I last saw you. I was intrigued when I saw you post this letter of sorts to the masses. I've seen such things before and I've never really entertained the thought of replying to such missives that are placed over the lands. Though this one intrigued me as I've a growing curiosity for all things alchemical, and especially all things that are related to the different constructs in the land. You see I feel as if I've grown stagnant in my own studies. As if things have begun to slow down and I've been unable to grow in any particular direction. It would seem that I've become slothful and forgotten that even I still need to study and learn day by day. Well enough of my rattling on, I wish to put my name forward in the hopes that you might pick me and teach me a few things. Even if not as an official student I would still love to learn and expand my horizons in knowledge of any kind. Even if not I do hope this letter finds you well and I hope to see you again. I enjoyed our meeting last time and would enjoy further talking to you on the topics we discussed before. Perhaps there is some form of knowledge that I could also impart on you should you simply wish to talk and have tea at some point. Though do be well and I hope your search for students goes well regardless. Sincerely, Serenity Al'Abass Violet Sorceress"
  4. Once more a lone druid would make his way towards a secluded spot that over looked the ocean. Sitting down he would begin to dig through his bag, much like every time that he had done this before. Carefully setting out glasses, the man would begin to form a circle. One, two, three, eight glasses now rested in a circle around him not including the one that he rested before himself. Pulling forth a bottle of amber liquid Eryn would begin to pour it into each glass, and like every time he had completed this ritual the faces of those who were no longer with him would begin to appear behind the glass. All of them smiling and holding up their glass in a toast to him, laughing and joking just like they used to in life. Like every time before the druid's hand was stead as he poured the amber liquid into each glass, though as he reached the sixth he began to shake as the face of a Ker with a bandage covering half his face appeared. The seventh glass came and his hand became more unsteady as the form of Awaiti Sirame settled into the circle of those who seemed to be laughing and sharing in the drinks together, her gaze regarded Eryn as she offered him a warm smile, before his hand reached the either glass. Having to pause to settle his nerves Eryn would breath out as he filled up the cup and the Lioness's form slowly appeared behind it. Andria's gaze seemed to regard him before she would grin and chuckle almost as if in a mocking tone of how shaky and unsteady he was to simply pour her drink. Finally, he made it to his own glass, the only one that would remained empty. His hand shook as he looked over the faces of all those who had long passed on, his friends, his family, those who he considered his closest allies as his hand tipped and the amber liquid began to pour. Missing the glass by a hair as it poured into the dirt and Eryn looked around those who were gathered and now offering a toast up to him. All those who had passed on and returned to dust as he had to keep on, for his duties were Eternal, and there was still much work that he must do before he too could rest. As he finished up his ritual one more time Eryn would stand and turn off, wandering deep into the forest once more lost in his own thoughts.
  5. Alrin would walk around carrying a stack of papers under his arms. Carefully pinning them up for everyone to see as he made his rounds through the streets of the Silver City.
  6. Alrin would read the missive over from his desk within the clinic. A smile forming on his face as he placed it amongst the other many stacks of papers. "A very obvious choice for the position. I can't think of one better suited to handle the tasks than her."
  7. Can you clarify on this? I am a bit confused on the last line, and I am a bit concerned as well. This seems like a way to simply tell who is a dark mage/creature by simply pouring water on them and saying it didn't work so they must be xyz.

A gift from an older generation passed on to us, acting as a library for future lessons and messages to be placed within. Please do not harm it, and for those who seek more information find me Brother Moonlight. (Spoken in Eryn Sirame's voice) 2) Hi, I'm not sure who's going to find this later... 15. Singing Trees Lore Summary Druidic Singing Trees, an art lost to the ages and only recently rediscovered by those who have interacted with an ancient Druidic Circle that existed upon Arcas. These Trees are designed to house memories, and messages of the Druids who interacted with them and wished to leave something behind. These memories could then be listened to by any who understood the intricacies of the tree itself. Now as a newer version of these trees have been discovered a new generation of druii will be able to leave behind messages and teachings for generations to come. Magic Explanation Singing Trees are a Druidic feat. One must be attuned as a druid and must have been taught Druidic infusion in order to create the tree or the index to navigate them. These trees serve as a flavorful way for druids to record messages, warning, or even certain teachings. These teachings however can not be in any form of magical lesson that would require an MA or FA to preform. Singing Trees require an mc representation in the world that must be ST approved. In order to learn this feat you must be taught by someone with an accepted TA of the feat, once you have had the Feat for over 1 irl month you may put up a TA application. Spells/Abilities Singing Tree Creation Description A tree which grows a great many crystalline leaves upon it, while the bark branches appear mundane. Through Communion and Druidic Infusion a Druid can create such a tree, at first bare with no leaves upon it. After some time a Druid can add memories to this tree allowing for their own voice to tell stories or lessons. They may also bring other Druids to do the same, by either using Powersharing with them, or using an Index to add their own memories and stories. For every story and message left, a new crystal-like leaf shall grow containing these memories. The leaf will take on the color of the aura of the Druids who created it, no matter who places the information within the tree. Mechanics A Druid may create a Singing Tree outside of combat. They will find themselves unable to use any other abilities after creating the tree as it does require druidic Infusion to create a tree. Over the Course of Six (6) emotes a singing tree can be grown to a sapling state in that time as it will take three elven days (3 irl days) for it to achieve its full grown size. These trees will not aid a druid in combat as they are empty vessels created to only store knowledge. Should a druid wish they may ungrow a singing tree to move it to a new location turning it into a crystalized seed. At this time a druid is unable to hear any of the memories within the seed that may be stored there. If the seed is not planted within one elven week (1 irl week) or druidic energy is not introduced into the seed at a constant rate then it will crumble into dust. A singing tree can be destroyed like any other tree though many may find it slightly more durable than other trees. A singing tree must be exposed to the open sky in order for it to grow otherwise the tree will stay in a dormant sapling state and eventually crumble into dust. Finally a sign that is signed or locked by the ST must be present, a sign with contact information for the creator of the tree must be present, and a sign with a link to the forum post containing the Singing Tree’s knowledge must be present. Red Lines: Example Creation Index Creation Description A simple item which is infused with the knowledge needed to navigate the vast library of a Singing Tree. This item can be anything that can be held by the Druid so long as it has been Infused with the knowledge. The Index itself allows for a Druid to not only navigate the archive of a Singing Tree, but to add new memories and stories too. Mechanics A Singing Tree Index is used to simply access a Singing Tree. Much like reading a book a Druid can use this index to travel through the vast library of knowledge that may be stored within the tree itself. This allows for a Druid to connect to the Index in one emote, and then to the tree in a second emote. To do this a Druid may not be in combat or conflict of any kind as this requires their full attention. With another two emotes a Druid may add a memory of their own to the tree through the index itself. This item must be created prior to accessing the tree itself. So long as the item is created using Druidic Infusion and has an ST signature then it can be anything that may be held within the Druids grasp. The index must be placed within something that can be held within the hand such as a crystal that can then be implanted into another item. Red Lines: Example Creation Memory Storage Locations Upon Creation of a Singing tree a forum post must be created. This post will house all the knowledge that is housed in the singing tree. A google document may also be made that houses the information as well. Whenever information is added or removed from the singing tree then the post and the document need to be updated to reflect what was added or what was removed. Should the tree be removed or destroyed then the post shall be hidden as the knowledge within that tree is no longer accessible to anyone. The forum post itself must contain a link to the Singing Tree Lore, it must also contain a link to this guide for how to interact with the tree. It should also be stated on the post that this knowledge can not be meta gamed and those without an index can not access the information freely. It should be noted that the rp name of the individual who added the information must also be attached to the message that they left behind as it is relayed in their characters voice. Singing Tree Interaction (Emote Guide) For all interactions the forum post must be used in one form or another. Interaction while using an Index Interaction while someone else is using an Index Interaction without an Index Memory addition Interaction Focused Memory Removal interaction Random Memory Removal Interaction Teaching Guide Lesson 1 In the first lesson the student will learn how to create a Singing Tree by growing their own sapling. At this stage the sapling can either be kept alive or simply ungrown back into the dormant seed state so the student can place it wherever they would like. Doing so does not create a crystal seed like an ungrown singing tree but instead simply reverts the process that had started as the student does not feed the seed enough energy for the transformation to fully take hold. Lesson 2 In the next lesson the student will learn how to create a Singing Tree index, this allows for them to create their very own index for accesses and manipulate the memories that are held within any currently active Singing Tree. With this lesson they will learn how to channel their energy through the index that acts as a catalyst allowing for them to listen to the voices held within the tree and single out specific voices that they wish to listen too. Lesson 3 In the final lesson the student will learn how to add and remove memories that are housed within the Singing tree. With their teacher's help, the student will be shown how to add their energy to the existing energy within any singing tree. Allowing for their voice to join the multitude of songs that already reside deep within the tree. With the same principle of searching out a specific voice they will be shown how to push more of their energy into that specific area, causing the destruction of the leaf that holds the targeted memory that they are aiming to remove. 16. Eryn, resting within his home would suddenly stop what he was doing as he felt the pain within nature around him. Leaning on the wall he would pause as he sat there unsure of what had just happened. It wasn't long before the letter made it to him as he read it and slowly sank to the ground with every passing word. Finishing the letter he would slowly stand up and make his way to his room opening a small chest and pulling out a well worn box before slowly making his way outside of his house. It was sunny on this particular day, slightly cooler than the others, but the weather didn't bother the druid as he trudged out and slowly sat down on a level patch of land. Tears still in his eyes as he slowly opened the box and began to set out four regular sized glasses. Pausing as he looked to each one filling them up with an amber liquid, pausing at each one. Behind the first, a human man would seem to rest there, wiry beard, dark brown hair and cold eyes regarded Eryn before giving him a big smile. Behind the next, a group of men sitting next to each other, some wearing black and red armor, others white and black tabards as they all seemed to be joking and laughing with one another. Behind the third sat a women, blue and black tabard on. Long flowing light brown hair and eye patch covering one eye as she offered Eryn another warm smile. Behind the fourth glass rested several elves. All of them seemed young and full of life as they sat there telling different stories and laughing at one another. Finally, Eryn moved to slowly pull out the final glass, a shot glass as he sat it down. Slowly reaching back into the box and pulling out a very old cigar, placing it slowly beside the glass carefully. Pulling out a flask he would move to fill it up with a very strong black liquid before glancing up to see a familiar dark elven face looking back at him. Eyes seeming to hold a look of mischief to them, a grin on his face as he puffed away at a very similar cigar before leaning back enjoying himself. Blinking Eryn would glance around and those behind the filled glasses were gone leaving only him and his empty glass before him as he breathed out softly. Tears in his eyes he would move to slowly lift it up almost like he was making a toast before he finally spoke. "To the great adventures we had, to the times we shared and the trouble we got into. Until it is my time to join you for our next drink together. Keep me in mind, one day I will join you and we'll tell our stories again, we'll have that drink. We'll all be home once more" he would finish out as tears streamed down his face slowly setting down his own empty glass and beginning to pour the others out one by one. Stopping at the final and newest addition "I will miss you Bolon, my brother. Rest easy now, and know that you will never be forgotten. You will always remain my brother. I only wish I had been there in your final moments. Rest well, you have earned it" he would finish out before pouring out the final drink and beginning to clean up the cups. Starting back inside his abode as tears slowly and steadily streamed down the mans face.

  19. Singing Trees Druids of an ancient order approaching a singing tree as they seek the knowledge placed within it. Background/Origin During the reign of Malin, a singular Druidic Order was formed. This Order went about upholding the balance all across the lands. Sending Druii to distant shores in order to maintain the balance and rectify anything that had gone astray. One such order was the Vanfari Circle, a group of Druii sent to Arcas to investigate an imbalance that had been sensed by many of this great Order. Upon arriving they began by growing themselves a grove, hidden away within a secret forest, safe from those who might do them harm while they sought to complete their mission. Not worrying themselves with the conflicts of Krug, Horen, and Urguan’s descendants they quickly set out in search of what had caused this great disturbance in the balance. In doing so they discovered an ancient enemy, one they thought had long been lost to time and the Great War. Fearing the loss of many Druii to this enemy they began to experiment with their gifts in an effort to fight against this foe. One such advancement resulted in the Singing Trees. These curious trees were scattered across the land at points where the Druii could reach them, and only the Druii could understand the messages stored within their leaves. These crystalline trees were used as a means of passing along messages, warnings, and more importantly knowledge that the Druii had discovered while confronting their enemy. As the Vannfari Circle warred against this nameless enemy, they soon succumbed to them. Their numbers depleted to none and the ancient secrets of the Singing Tree died with them. This knowledge, like their foe, was lost to time and only remaining trees were discovered upon the arrival of Druii from Atlas. Unable to understand how to navigate the vast knowledge left within the trees, they studied and documented what they could. Eventually the aid of the Nature Dragaar Taynei'Hiylu was called upon to retrieve this lost knowledge and grant it back to the surviving present-day Druid Circles. This knowledge was intended to be used to allow for future generations to benefit from it, allowing for the voices of elder Druii and Druids who have passed to still be heard by the younger generations that would follow. Magic Explanation The ability to create and navigate a Singing Tree is a Druidic Feat. This ability is powered through a mix of Communion and Druidic Infusion. A Druid is able to learn this Feat from someone who knows not only how to create the Singing Trees, but how to create an Index which allows for a Druid to navigate through the memories and voices that have been left within the tree. In order to learn this ability, a Druid must know Communion and have been taught Infusion. With these two abilities, a Druid may create the Singing Tree, as well as an Index to navigate through the tree, and other Singing Trees that may exist. This ability requires a feat application to use and an accepted TA of the feat in order to teach this ability as well. Abilities/Spells Singing Tree Description: A tree which holds a large amount of crystalline leaves upon it. The bark of the tree itself is mundane along with its branches. Through Communion and Druidic Infusion a Druid can create such a tree, at first bare with no leaves upon it. After time a Druid can add memories to this tree allowing for their own voice to tell stories or lessons. They can also bring other Druids to do the same, by either using Powersharing with them, or using an Index to add their own memories and stories. For every story and message left, a new crystal-like leaf shall grow containing these memories. The leaf will take on the color of the aura of the Druids who created it, no matter who places the information within the tree. Mechanics: A Druid may create one of these trees outside of combat. The process of creating a Singing Tree takes time and focus, upon doing so a Druid will find themselves unable to use their gifts aside from passive Communion since this requires the use of Druidic Infusion. A Druid must spend a great deal of time in growing this Singing Tree with a minimum of six (6) multi line emotes being used in the creation process. These trees can only be fully navigated by using an index, or power sharing with someone who has access to an index. Much like any natural tree, they can be chopped down with mundane tools and burned with regular fire, though one might find it takes a little longer for the wood of the tree to catch fire. Should someone reach up and pluck a leaf from the tree they will find that it will instantly reduce to ash in their hands, the memory held within it destroyed forever. Should a branch be plucked off instead, the leaves will be sustained so long as a steady flow of druidic energy is introduced into the wood, should no energy be introduced into the wood then within three Elven days (3 irl days) the leaves will turn to ash and the memories will be lost. A Sing Tree's branch may only hold up to Five memories in total. It is possible for these trees to be moved by using the Communion ability Ungrowing. By doing so a Singing Tree can be moved should a location become too inhospitable for it. In doing so a Druid will un-grow the tree and store it within a small crystalline seed, which contains the entirety of the memories and stories the tree possessed. During this time these memories and stories may not be accessed, and the tree should be replanted within an elven week (1irl week) or the seed will crumble to dust much like if you plucked a leaf from its branches. Keeping a steady flow of druidic energy into the seed will keep it alive until it can be replanted and will extend the week timer on how long the seed will live.. The information stored within the tree can only be fully accessed by someone who has an Index. Anyone else who Communes with the tree won’t be able to pinpoint anything they are looking for and can get any random assortment of knowledge. This knowledge should be kept within a form, or document of some kind given to those who have access to an index. Each tree requires that an ST either oversee the creation of the tree, or be given screenshots of its creation so that they can place a locked sign validating its existence. The tree should also have contact information for the creator so that anyone may interact with the tree. The tree itself will fully grow between six meters, to ten meters tall (min 6 blocks to 10 block build height). The bark of the Sing Tree will always take up the properties of an oak tree. Maintaining the same consistencies and properties as an oak tree apart from the color as it may vary simply from a light colored bark, to a dark colored bark. This process will take up to three elven days to achieve the full height of the tree. Once the Seed has bee planted it must be exposed to the sky, and have direct sunlight for it to grow. Normal animals will steer away from this tree to not disturb the memories within the leaves, these animals sensing the druidic energy within the tree. Upon Communing with a singing tree without an index one would find the sounds of many different voices talking at once, unable to pick out anything directly at a glance. Focusing in on a voice will clarify it to the point that a Druii is able to listen to a memory. This memory would be heard within the Druids mind as if the person who placed it there was speaking directly to them. Should you have an index then you can navigate through the voices finding specific memories that you might be looking for. Red Lines: Singing Tree Index Description: A simple item that is infused with the knowledge needed to navigate the vast library of a Singing Tree. This item can be anything that can be held by the Druid so long as it has been Infused with the knowledge. The Index itself allows for a Druid to not only navigate the Singing Tree itself, but to add new memories and stories to the tree. Mechanics: A Singing Tree Index is used to simply access a Singing Tree. Red Lines: Singing Tree Interaction (OOC Mechanic Information) Google Doc Interaction To interact with a Singing Tree's Google Document you must contact the owner of the tree. Should you have an index than you may freely browse the information upon the document and keep a copy of it. If you add information or remove information from the tree, the owner of the document must be notified and the document then updated. If a player does not have an index than then the creator will roll out of however many memories there are within the tree. An example would be if there are 50 memories you would do /roll 50. The creator would then give the person interacting with the tree what ever memory that corresponded with the number rolled. Should the tree be destroyed, then the document should be updated so that it indicates the information upon the list had been destroyed, or the document is to be deleted. Forum Post Interaction To interact with a Singing Tree's Google Document, one must first find the tree that the forum post corresponds to. Upon interaction if an individual has an index then they may freely browse the information that is within the tree. If the individual does not have an index then they must roll out of however many memories are within the tree. An example of this would be if there are 100 memories you would do /roll 100. The corresponding number that you get is what memory is given to you at that time. A player may not simply stand there to continue to randomly look through memories to learn them all as they do not know how many are within the tree. On the forum post it must be stated that you need an index to fully access the information. That you may not meta the information within the tree, or the creator of the tree through the post. That you must also follow Singing Tree Red lines when interacting or using the tree. If you are adding or removing memories from the tree, you must contact the creator to inform them of the memory added, or removed from the Tree. Memory Removal Much like a druid can add a memory, they may indeed also remove a memory. As stated above a druid who has an index may indeed find and remove specific memories within a Singing Tree. Upon doing so they must inform the creator of the memories removed, so that the Document or the Forum post may be updated accordingly. If a player does not have an index than random memories can be removed from the tree instead. This is done by doing a roll out of however many memories are within the tree. An example would be if there are 35 memories you would do /roll 35 and if you got 12 than memory number 12 would be removed. Upon removing these memories the owner and an st should be notified. The post should then be updated to reflect the removal of that memory. Should a whole branch be removed than five rolls should be done, and the above steps should be followed as well. If the whole tree is destroyed then the creator and the st must be notified, the forum post hidden and the google document either deleted, or edited to reflect such an event has occurred. Generalized Red Lines Purpose OOC: This Feat is being introduced after the knowledge was found in an event. This format is being created to allow for monitoring, guidelines, and a way to track Singing Trees that are created. This is simply a flavorful way for Druids to store knowledge, lessons, stories, and possibly warnings for future generations of Druids to access. This is a feat magic, and does require that you know Druidic Infusion as this is an enchantment for Druidism. A big thanks to Xarkly for running the event that gave us the knowledge of these trees, and a big thanks to A_Keefy for helping to get this rolling as well. 20. I’d also request as this art uses my own character in it that it be changed. Honestly that’s all I have to ask at this moment.
  21. @Treshure Hi there and good morning. To note when I was writing this originally I had wanted to include the the entire history and everything of the Clerics starting from their origins. However, as I worked on it, it became slowly more and more apparent that I was missing a very large chunk of their history. I do have every intention of creating a cultural post in the future. Containing all the history and everything that comes with a religion. I do thank you for looking over the lore and I’m going to look over the lore itself with the question you asked in mind as well. That way I can make this lore something that the server enjoys and try to remove the bad taste that Clerics left when they were around before.
  22. I agree with you that purging in its current state is kind of stale and not a lot to work with rp wise. Clerical purging to my knowledge has always been some sort of ritual, where the cleric takes the afflicted to a temple of sorts and preforms an exorcism style rp. Or at least that has always been my experience with the purging aspect from Clerics. The lore simply adheres to the guidelines of the shade lore in an after note simply to put that in the lore and cover the bases. Purging works on anything that might have a curse to generate rp as well. I've also changed it in the lore itself to make it more ritualistic for how long it takes to cast as to where it needs to be cast at. I appreciate the responses everyone has given me so far and I look forward to the other constructive criticism given to try and make this piece better and enjoyable for the whole server.

These large based spells require more than one Cleric to concentrate on them in order to be able to cast them. In order for these large spells to be cast then a group of Clerics must be brought together and share their light with each other in order to ease the burden of casting these spells. While only the leading Cleric needs to know how to truly cast the spell, those involved must have been taught Power Sharing. This ability allows for a group of Clerics to summon forth their light. Pooling it all into one area the lead Cleric can then use this energy to cast spells with ease. Rather than relying solely on their own light, they can now draw upon the light of other Clerics that have lent it to them. This ability while effective is heavily draining, taking its toll on the lead casting Cleric. While exhaustion comes from casting spells, those sharing their light will not feel these effects, The only individual to suffer from extreme exhaustion after casting is the leading Cleric, in some cases causing them to become immobile and unable to move due to the heavy strain that was placed upon their body. These few spells are the most powerful in the arsenal of the Clerics, marking the pinnacle of their strength. These spells require a group of Clerics to cast, sharing their light between themselves by invoking their magic into a joint pool of energy. After each Cleric has connected, an additional emote must be spent to gather forth the energy between all parties, and then casting may begin. When performing power-sharing, you must be taught to either lead or aid in it. If you’re only taught the process of aiding, which is as simple as bringing forth your collection of energy to the pool, you may not lead. If you’re taught to lead you may do either, being the first to conjure your light and the one to control the vast sum of energy now placed under your command. You require a Holy Symbol to lead a power-sharing ritual. As the leader, you take the most damage and exhaustion from the abilities cast - Each of them detailed within their own spells. Many people who hear the name Clerics have a mixed reaction when the name is uttered, they either had really good experiences or really terrible ones. While unfortunate, these reactions are expected because of how the past player base handled the magic and used it. With this rewrite, it is my hope to bring back the Clerics as a healing group, not a fix-all heal all magic, but a choice when seeking out aid. Due to these reasons from the past I am wiping all former TA’s MA’s and anything else that was associated with Clerical magic. Of course, that doesn’t mean if you were a former Cleric that you should be upset about losing your magic. It is my intention that former Clerics are going to be first up on the lists of the teachers to reteach if the proper RP is had. If anyone has any questions, concerns, or even grievances my dm’s are open to take all questions and whatnot. Additionally, 4 Clerics will be grandfathered in: One for each Aura Color. I’d like to thank everyone that helped me on this rewrite. Shout outs to Fury_Fire, Wanderous, LoreapprovedSalt, Elvenmommahacker and Braxis for sitting with me and chatting with me as well as their inputs on the lore itself. Thanks to all those who came before me as well, special thanks to Farryn for their Tahariae history lore. Ventusyr, hesh, Nekkore, Pandan, and everyone else who made rewrites for the lore as well. Thanks again for reading and please be kind in the comments as this is my first lore piece. If you have any questions once again please feel free to dm me and I’ll get back to you in a timely manner. 24. Other than the initial bullet point mishap this piece looks very solid. It fixes a lot of the issues that were wrong with the previous lore. It makes it actually understandable and easy to comprehend. It also fixes the issues of the previous problem of no advancement as well. I give this lore a solid +1. Keep up the good work.
  25. Hi. This will be my one and only reply to this thread. If you believe any of the issues you stated were indeed broken. Then instead of making a public thread make a report as was stated. This only makes needless drama. More so acting innocent is all fine and dandy but don’t drop me a discord dm threatening new with this post or anything else and then not actually name drop me in the post. Other than this little rant. I hope everyone is staying safe and healthy and I hope you all have a wonderful day.
