  1. A secondary ally, having witnessed the egress of the washboard, hurriedly questions the book-openers on what transpired. His eyes widen, and a look of confusion and horror spreads on his face as he scurries back to the nearby library. He tears pages out of his notebook carefully, and procures a pen from somewhere on his person to write a series of notes to be strewn across Vailor. He stumbles out of Dragur, messages imploring caution stuffed into his pocket as he prepares to make a long journey.

    Spoiler

  2. [!] Seemingly overnight, notes appear posted across the more major cities in Vailor, each written in a hasty scrawl. All have minor differences between them, with many cross-outs characteristic to those writing and copying quickly. The left edge of the papers appear frayed, as if ripped carefully out of a book.

Two words appear at the top of every note, written in slightly larger letters than the rest:

    The Outvoker

(To readers: if you do not wish to read my chronicle of the events that surrounded the summoning the Outvoker, feel free to skip to the last paragraph.) Not very long ago, I happened to be at the Library of Dragur when I overheard a conversation. A group consisting of the Librarian Orithur, a female 'Ame, and a female 'Aheral were requesting the presence of a Cleric and her companion while they opened a 'tome of unknown power'. They compelled the Cleric and her companion, an armored 'Ker, to swear to secrecy before permitting them to come. I tried to follow, but I was cut off quite rudely by the 'Ame. I remained at the Library, awaiting their return when I heard that rocketing crackle. I rushed back to the Cloud Temple, and there I found a fellow I knew to be a Scholar of Dragur. I beseeched him to lead me to the location that I had heard Orithur and the others mention (a barn), and he led me on the path there. While we traveled, we came across a male 'Aheral, who joined the Scholar and I as we traveled to the aforementioned location. As we got closer to the barn, Orithur stormed past us, practically radiating magic. He barged through with only a command for us to step aside. We continued on to the barn, where our eyes were met with quite a strange scene. The two female elves, the cleric and her companion, and what appeared to be an enchanted washboard were standing in the ruins of the barn. The washboard, seemingly surprised by our presence, jumped towards the female 'Ame, and promptly whisked her away. The female 'Aheral, clearly quite perturbed, informed us that a being known as 'The Outvoker' had been summoned. A look of horror appeared on the male 'Aheral's eyes. Those of us who didn't recognize the term queried him on why he was so shocked. He explained that the Outvoker was a being born of a 'voidal node'. It was thought to have perished after being defeated somewhere (I can't remember where), and it possessed great power. I now believe that this 'Outvoker' was the source of the rocketing crackle, and I have resolved to warn the general populace, as well as to advise caution.

In summary, an entity with unknown motives and great power called the 'Outvoker' has been released upon Vailor, and I suggest that whoever is now reading this increases their vigilance. Do not hesitate to attach a note to this notice if you know anything about the Outvoker, as I will be checking them all periodically over the next few weeks. If you should wish to see where it was summoned, head west from the Library of Dragur. Also, if you happen to come across some sort of enchanted washboard... Be careful.

[!] Written at the bottom of the paper in neat, practiced letters:

    R. Tathron

If you were to flick over to the back of the paper, you'd see the following:

Oh, and I suppose I'll have to educate some of the less knowledgeable readers on the terms I used. An 'Ame is a Wood Elf, 'Aherals are High Elves, and 'Ker refers to a Dark Elf.

  4. Out-Of-Character Information

Please do your best to correct spelling and grammatical errors, this is an RP server and writing is the main form of communication!

What’s your Minecraft Account Name?: Toodles

    How old are you?: 14

Are you aware the server is PG-13 (You won’t be denied for being under 13): Yes.

Have you read and agreed to the rules?: Yes.

What’s the rule you agree with the most?: The rule against Fire Aspect and Flames enchantment books. I hate being on fire, it's annoying.

Are there any rule(s) that confuse you or don’t make sense?(If so we can help clear it up! You will not be denied for having a question on the rules): When you lockpick a chest, why do you have to be targeting a specific item? I mean, I should be able to lockpick a chest regardless of whether or not it has the "Yellow Sword of Swag" in it.

How did you find out about Lord of the Craft? I was bored on the internet and decided to look up some minecraft servers. After some scrolling I noticed this one, and it caught my eyes with its similarity to a certain series of books.

Feel free to Google the answers or browse our forums, but make sure that you write the reply in your own words, not those of another website or person!

What is roleplaying?: Roleplaying is pretending to be someone you're not, and then making decisions based on what that person would do.

What is metagaming?: Metagaming is using information your character wouldn't know about, like someone messaging you on Skype "Help me at the Copper Tower!" and then having your character go to the Copper Tower despite the fact there's no way they could have known in-game.

What is powergaming?: Powergaming is forcing an action on someone, like saying "Phil took out his sword and sliced off the heads of 10 heavily armed dwarves before they could react." It should be more like, "Phil took out his sword and aimed for the collective necks of 10 dwarves." I've also heard it being referred to as your character doing something that they realistically couldn't do, like saying "Phil did 17 successive backflips before landing on his feet and throwing 8 flaming knives at four men. He did this all in 2.3 seconds."

    In-Character Information

Now you actually make your character - be creative but stay reasonable! Make sure they make sense and that they follow lore. Try to come up with a character that you actually want to play.

    Character’s name: Revion Tathron

    Character’s sex: Male

    Character’s race: Dark Elf

    Character’s age: 74

Biography  (Please make it a decent two paragraphs long. Remember to add server lore, and events that happened to your character so that they don’t contradict history.): Revion was born in 1474, in the early days of Athera. When he was only a year old, the Silver Enclave of Haelun'or was overthrown and his Dark Elf mother was killed. His father soon remarried, to a Wood Elf mother. Growing up, Revion didn't have many friends, as there weren't many Elvish children around. His father was a competent mercenary who took charge of his education, instructing him in the way of the sword, as well as enlisting his surrogate mother to teach him the bow. He was quite satisfactory with the sword, but he never quite got the hang of the bow. In between lessons with his parents, Revion didn't have very much to do, so he imagined himself exploring new and forgotten places. He was sort of an idealist, and resolved to write a travel guide of sorts, so others could experience the world without leaving the comfort of their homes. As he became an adult, he began working for his father, but grew tired of the life of the mercenary. He packed his bags, and went out to see the world and all its people.

Personality Traits: Is something of an introvert. Never was really experienced talking to people outside of his family. Is concerned with self-preservation; won't just walk into fights. Not opposed to retreating strategically when the going gets tough. Uses a wide variety of ways to achieve his goals. Is quite logical and enjoys pumpkin pie.

Ambitions: To create the definitive travel guide for those stuck at home.

Strengths/Talents: Quite experienced with the sword, by being trained by and working for his father. Can work with a bow, but is no sharpshooter. Reasonably intelligent and well-educated. Fast, as elves are.

Weaknesses/Inabilities: Not very physically strong. Bit of a coward. Isn't good at talking, but tries to talk himself out of tough situations.

Appearance (List the extra details of your characters appearance, IE; height & weight): 6' 0'' and 130lb

Appearance, please provide us a screenshot of your character’s skin (If you need help, see our screenshot guide here): http://prntscr.com/a9jwpv Made by hellfiazzz, and used with permission: http://prntscr.com/a9jy43
