Biography:
Born in the year 1525, Rodrik Thorehn was the product of unwanted conception. Rodrik's mother, Faye Wilsmere (at the time), was a 23 year old woman who was next in line to her father's horse farm. Being a Heartlander, Faye was given high expectations by her family. Keeping the Wilsmere name untainted was the main goal of her father, Ralek Wilsmere. The Wilsmere family was not overly wealthy, nor did they have a reputable name to begin with, but Ralek had striven to make his family known for their beginner horse-breeding operation. Faye was to be married by her father's choice, on the date he chose, and with the person he approved of. Faye, who never approved of her life's dictation, decided to disobey her father and give herself to someone unfaithful to her. With this decision, she took the risk of conception, which unfortunately happened to Faye after her poor choice. Once Ralek caught wind of this, Faye was swiftly excommunicated from the Wilsmere family. Her father demanded that Faye never be known as a Wilsmere, but as another surname. Faye took up the surname "Thorehn," and began anew in the settlement of Istria.
Rodrik, the creation of a terrible decision, was never told of his mother's past. Faye, after beginning her life as a Thorehn, explained her past as if her parents died of sickness, and wished for her to move to the Nation of Oren. This was also the story Rodrik was told. Faye never intended to tell Rodrik of her legitimate past, nor could she get over the guilt she knew she would harbor.
Growing up around horses, Rodrik grew a fondness towards caring for animals. With this, he also grew accustomed to the life of a farmer. He found jobs in his teenage years being a farmhand in different towns and settlements. Many farms and ranches in the area worked under His Grace John Roswell, the Duke of Istria. Rodrik had always been someone to work through any hard times brought upon him. Whether it was no money for him and his mother, to going without food for days at a time; Rodrik found a way out of the issues. By the age of 20, Rodrik was fully invested in becoming a ranch owner, and supplying the horses for His Imperial Majesty. Time has continued forward to the year 1552, and Rodrik is still slowly working towards his goals. After leaving home at the age of 23, Rodrik begins a new life. Looking for a home, stable job, and a way to pursue his dream, Rodrik is beginning his journey on the Isles of Vailor.
Personality Traits: Rodrik is a great conversationalist. He knows this about himself, and because of it, carries himself with a more charismatic manner. He has a booming voice, and tends to captivate those around him. A personal joy of his is farming, and tending to every aspect of a farm. Be it animals, or general grunt work, Rodrik finds happiness in doing hard work. Exploring and discovering the world was never a want for Rodrik. He tends to nestle into one area, and stay there until his usefulness is no longer needed. From a fighting standpoint, Rodrik can handle himself if the need arises. Being a farmhand for his entire childhood, and into his early 20's, Rodrik has brute strength, as well as the smarts to know how to fight. Being a farmhand in a normal settlement, Rodrik was never offered the opportunity to have an extensive education. Rodrik was educated by his mother on the various Deities, such as The Creator, and various Patrons. He also has general knowledge on the Orenian Nobility.
Ambitions: Rodrik dreams of having his own ranch, and supplying the Orenian Nobility with high quality horses and livestock.

Appearance: Standing at a measly 5'3", Rodrik is a great fit for being a horse enthusiast. He has flowing, thick black hair that he tends to slick back, and keeps the sides shorter than the top of his head. His eyes are the color of an upset ocean. The piercing blue of Rodrik's eyes is quite a sight. Rodrik wears a mixture of leather and iron. An almost complete suit of leather armor covers Rodrik's muscular body. A leather chest piece, studded with iron, covers his upper body. A set of iron spaulders rest on his shoulders, and and iron helmet rests on his head. Rodrik tends to wear his helmet more often than not, without any reason for doing so. Under his armor, he wears a green shirt, as well as green trousers. He wears worn leather boots, that protect him from most elements. Rodrik does not carry a weapon, because he does not require the use of one.
