  1. Out-Of-Character Information Please do your best to correct spelling and grammatical errors, this is an RP server and writing is the main form of communication! What’s your Minecraft account name?: talvarez02 How old are you?: 17 Are you aware the server is PG-13 (You won’t be denied for being under 13): Yes, I am aware of this. Have you read and agreed to the rules?: Yes. What’s the rule you agree with the most?: I mostly agree with the rule that states how metagaming is disallowed in its entirety. Since I play Dungeons and Dragons regularly, I despise metagaming, and think it completely ruins the point of role playing. I am glad this is in the rules, especially considering that metagaming could potentially ruin even the most successful RP game/server. Are there any rule(s) that confuse you or don’t make sense? (if so we can help clear it up!): No, to be honest, all of the rules were just fixed/modified within the last couple weeks, and everything seems to be in order and make perfect sense. All of these rules contribute to making an awesome idea for an RP server, and hopefully I am able to play on it as well to test that theory. How did you find out about Lord of the Craft?: I was searching for a roleplaying server, and stumbled upon it via planetminecraft.com. Link(s) to past Whitelist Applications (If applicable): Not Applicable. Have you logged in to the server before?: Yes, one time. Definitions Feel free to Google the answers or browse our forums, but make sure that you write the reply in your own words, not those of another website or person! Plagiarizing will result in the automatic denial of your application! What is roleplaying?: Roleplaying is acting as a character at all times, no matter the circumstances, in order to produce a fun environment for everybody involved. A person who is roleplaying must apply all aspects of the character while engaging in the game/roleplay, in order to get the full effect and the entire purpose of the roleplaying scenarios/world/etc. What is metagaming?: Metagaming is where information is used by a character although he doesn’t know it. This is an example of Dramatic Irony, because when watching a play, the audience may know, for example, that in Romeo and Juliet, Juliet feigned her death. However, Romeo did not know this, so he killed himself for real, causing Juliet to do so as well after she woke up. If Romeo was given this information in a roleplaying scenario, then he would not kill himself, thus producing a completely different story and essentially ruining the entire point of role playing, which is to fill a character’s role and omit your “real-life” self. What is power-emoting (powergaming)?: Powergaming is when a player forces another character to do something while giving them no control on the outcome of the situation. If somebody says, “Jack kicks a bucket towards Bill, which causes him to fall down the stairs,” that forces Bill to fall down the stairs, thus not being a fair statement or even a statement that is at all accepted in roleplaying. Instead, players must be given a chance to have their say-so in their character’s choices, so the statement should allow for a player to give a fair reply or reaction. In-Character Information Now you actually make your character - be creative but stay reasonable! Make sure they make sense and that they follow lore. Try to come up with a character that you actually want to play. Character’s name: (what do you want your character to be called?) Raenaar Leíz Character’s sex: (male or female?) Male Character’s race: (you can find all the playable races here.) Wood Elf Character’s age: (upon application, your character must be 18 or older, and depending on the race, they can be over five hundred years old!) 65 Biography (Please make it a decent two paragraphs long. Remember to add three references to the server lore.): (where does your character come from?; where have they traveled to?; what year were they born in? et cetera.) I came from the capital city of the wood elves, the forested land of Laureh’lin. As a child, the land was a very busy place, with wars raging in many locations, some nations battling in mere civil wars, predominantly the Massacre of Wett. My father, Nailei, was great friends with a Blackfist dwarf, so he knew much about the dwarves’ rebellion which marked the creation of The Mountain Monarchy. Two short years after The Mountain Monarchy was formed, their army was slaughtered in a large battle that caused The Mountain Monarchy to disband, thus ending the dwarven civil war. My father’s good friend was killed in this battle, although before engaging in the battle leaving his Helmet of Courage so if he were to parish, we would have an artifact to remember him by. As I grew older and neared adulthood, much more was happening throughout the land. My father made an undisclosed visit to the Cloud Temple to seal a trade, and this was around the time when the plague began to sweep across Vailor. My father was seemingly infected by this plague, and upon returning he was ordered to be quarantined to the basement of my house. It was looking as if my father would soon die, and all hope would then be seemingly lost for my household, as I was still a child. Eventually, I became very curious as to what the helmet meant, and what it’s use was. It was mounted by my front door, and I always looked at it wondering its purpose. One day, on a day where my father seemed to be nearing death, I decided to take the helmet down and put it on. I thought it would be cool to show my father the helmet as well. So, I went downstairs, and my father was asleep. I decided to put the helmet on his head, and I went to my room and slept as well. The following morning, I heard my father in the living room. I saw him standing there with the helmet still placed on his head, and it seemed that he had made a miraculous recovery. This was outstanding for my family, and we held a small party/festival to celebrate his well-being, since the plague was not as prominent anymore within my village. As I grew older, I realized my father was an archery master, thereby passing his knowledge onto myself, which also lead to a large understanding of navigation, especially land around Laureh’lin and the Cloud Temple. However, as I began to reach adulthood, my father reached his infertility stage. My mother (Zaúli), outraged, began to tell him she wanted more than one child and he should have listened when she said they should have children when they were younger. In pure anger and foolishness, my father went on a hunt with only his bow and 1 arrow, claiming he would bring back something that would change our lives forever. Well, he changed our lives forever indeed, but not in the way he most likely intended. Me and my mother waited for him for the last few years, and he is still yet to come back. I have been fatherless the first few years of my adulthood, and it has really taken a toll on me. All of the other Wood Elves believe my father was tortured and killed by the Oren army, much like many others throughout The Isles of Vailor that have gone missing at Oren’s hands. Sadly, the collapse of the Empire of Vanderguan brought upon a great recession upon my village, and it resulted in the entire village being burnt down while all of the workers were collecting wood, including myself. My mother was engulfed in the flames, and now I only have myself to look after. I am now 65, as I was born in 1508, the year when my father and mother had their first and only child. Now, I am still their first and only child, and the only one left to carry the bloodline. What is even more distraught is the fact that the Helmet of Courage, that was given to my father, is nowhere to be found. I still refuse to believe that it parished in the flames, because of what it did to save my father. Sadly, my traveling had been kept to a minimum, except for the scouting trips and training my father took me on from Laureh’lin to the Cloud Temple, and all the whereabouts near the area. All I truly hope is that my masterful understanding of archery and great level of intellect is able to propel me towards a better and much stronger life than my parents… Personality Traits: (what are your character's quirks?; habits?; likes and dislikes?) I tend to listen into other people’s conversations, and throw in sarcastic comments even when they are unnecessary. This can sometimes result in consequences, possibly resulting in others getting upset or angry at me. I love to be humorous, so I sometimes do things to be funny, even if they are morally unsound. I extremely dislike people who talk just to hear themselves speak. In other words, I prefer intelligently humorous conversations. I really love archery, both the sport and the art of shooting enemies. I do not like being alone, and actually prefer to have somebody with me almost all the time. Companions really help me get through the day. Ambitions: (what does your character aspire to be?) I want to be the man my father couldn’t seem to be, and serve for the people as a leader or a warrior, using my skills in archery and wits to prosper as a steady Wood Elf. My idol would have to be King Tristin Tresery, as he is the leader of Malin and used to be the Prince of the Principality of Laureh’lin, my home capital. Strengths/Talents: (what is your character really, really good at?) I excel at archery and learning skills through books. I have a keen sense for science, and I have a great understanding of how all things in the natural world works. I am a great learner, and I love to apply and expand my wits to whatever I deem necessary. I may be a sharpshooter with the bow and arrow, but I am able to use an axe in melee fairly decently. Weaknesses/Inabilities: (what is a skill that your character needs to work on?) I am very unfit to use a sword, however, I can use an axe, but only on a mediocre level. I am terribly unorganized, and have a pretty bad memory of where I put things. I also tend to be very lonely, so I really prefer being with a friend or companion. Being alone is one of my greatest fears. I am not very good at mining, as I don’t have much knowledge of any minerals or materials I come across. I need a lot of help developing my knowledge of the underground. Appearance: (what does your character look like?; how tall are they?; hair color?; scars?) I have brown hair, and I wear a green cloth shirt with brown slacks. I have dark green eyes, and I always wear gloves to help me with my keen archery skills. I am only 5’8”, because I am a Wood Elf. I do have a scar, but it is hidden underneath my slacks. It was just a scar from birth, my leg was accidentally cut while being cleaned. Skin: (please provide us a screenshot of your character’s skin; if you need help, see our screenshot guide here.)
