How did you find out about Lord of the Craft?: I was recently re-watching the LOTR and thought of how cool it would be to BE in that universe or at least a medieval type universe and thought that there must be a Minecraft server already, so I just looked you guys up!

What is roleplaying?: Roleplaying is where you place yourself into the shoes of the character in which you have created. You speak as you were them, you do things that that race has been known to do, and you don't break character.
What is metagaming?: The best way to describe metagaming would be to give you an example. You have just created a character in a universe in which you have already traversed heavily and know where treasure and loot are, and you use this prior knowledge to aid yourself by advancing your character faster than you should be.
What is power-emoting (powergaming)?: Powergaming is where you are only focused on one singular goal, so you just throw out what it means to be in a roleplaying environment all together and strive to only succeed in said goal, thus breaking immersion and ruining the experience.
In-Character Information
Now you actually make your character - be creative but stay reasonable! Make sure they make sense and that they follow lore. Try to come up with a character that you actually want to play.
Character’s name: Diathorn Shearpoint Character’s sex: Male Character’s race: Diathorn is a Cavern Dwarf, descendant of the Irongut Clan. Character’s age: Diathorn is a relatively young Dwarf, being only forty-one years of age. Biography (Please make it a decent two paragraphs long. Diathorn grew up like most other Cavern Dwarves, in the Grand Kingdom of Urguan. The Shearpoint family was not a rich family at all. As a child, Diathorn often found himself having to steal bread from local bakeries just in order to survive. By the age of 24 Diathorn had been held in the city dungeons for most of his life for stealing and petty crimes. He spent most of his dungeon life reading in order to gain knowledge. Knowing his roots as an Irongut, he was very fascinated in Void Magic and would spend hours a day reading about it. After a particularly long dungeon sentence Diathorn decided he'd have to try to find a job, so he decided to become a miner like his late father was. It turned out he was pretty good at mining and built up quite a reputation around the community for finding rare gems and stones. Diathorn soon found himself to be slightly wealthy and prosperous for once in his life. This all changed when he was accused of stealing the jewels from a noble instead of mining them and instead of being sentenced to the dungeon, Diathorn was exiled out of the city.
Never having left the safety of his underground kingdom, Diathorn was very frightened about living in the outside world. He was a Cavern Dwarf so he was very cut off from society and has only read about the perils of the outside world. After about six years of living in various villages and settlements Diathorn found himself to be good with a blade. He could hunt down game and was nimble enough to escape from some of the more daring predators. Diathorn eventually made his way to the city of Salvus, where he met a Farfolk Human named Bryce. It turns out Bryce was a pirate and for the next fifteen years Diathorn accompanied him whilst living the life of a pirate. He would go on raids and steal large amounts of cargo from various merchant ships along the coast. But one particular raid Diathorn witnessed Bryce attempting to murder an innocent child on board the ship. He stepped in and slayed Bryce, saving the child. From that day forward Bryce vowed to give up the pirate life and return to the mainland in search of becoming an honorable warrior.
Personality Traits: (what are your character's quirks?; habits?; likes and dislikes?) Diathorn is often reguarded as a very charismatic individual. Being a Dwarf he is often able to manipulate people and persuade them into getting what he wants. He very much enjoys learning and reads constantly. Diathorn is now skeptical of humans and rarely confides in them after witnessing Bryce almost murder a child. Ambitions: (what does your character aspire to be?) Diathorn very much wants to be an honorable warrior and he also would like to become proficient at using Void Magic. Strengths/Talents: (what is your character really, really good at?) Diathorn is very good with a sword and shield because of how much time he spent in the wilderness. Weaknesses/Inabilities: (what is a skill that your character needs to work on?) Diathorn has little to no ability of archery and needs to practice in order to get better. Appearance: (what does your character look like?; how tall are they?; hair color?; scars?) Diathorn is of average height for a Dwarf, just barely reaching 4 feet tall. He has very thick black hair on his head and actually a pretty small sized beard for a dwarf.
