  1. Out-Of-Character Information

What’s your Minecraft account name?: xXninja_mageXx

    How old are you?: 16

Are you aware the server is PG-13 (You won’t be denied for being under 13): I am aware.

Have you read and agreed to the rules?: I have read and formally agree to all mentioned rules of both the server and the forums.

What’s the rule you agree with the most?: The sensible rules of war. Combat, and revival with no particular favorite, but a list of favored including, but not limited to: the cost of war and reasonable restrictions that come with battle such as cost and ammunitions, the rules of skirmishes and pvp battles, and the rules of capture when it comes to both leaders and entire factions.

Are there any rule(s) that confuse you or don’t make sense? (if so we can help clear it up!): A few of the pvp rules are a little confusing, but I plan on reading over them some more to get a better understanding and will contact the staff if I still have trouble.

How did you find out about Lord of the Craft?: I located the server when browsing specifically for roleplaying servers.

    Definitions

The following definitions were either previously known or explained sufficiently in the forums.

Role[playing- The act of roleplaying is when a person takes of the persona of a fictional character (in this case in a fantasy scenario) for means of pleasure (not to be linked with the devious attempts of identity theft or any likeliness) and living out the life of that character in a fictional society.

Metagaming- This can be defined as type of “breaking the fourth wall” in a roleplaying event when a person has information that their character couldn’t possibly know for one reason or another and yet the character acts upon this unknown knowledge (i.e. a roleplaying event taking place during the fall of Rome, and the character knows where to be at exactly the right time beyond coincidental occurrence to benefit the most from the fall of an empire that has yet to occur)

Power-emoting (Powergaming)- When during a roleplaying event, the actions of a character are twisted to control that of another unwillingly (not to be linked with voodoo, mind control, or other types of in-game power over a character) whether it be as severe as killing off another player without their knowledge or acceptance or as small as making a character eat a cake. (i.e. “Mojo jo jo baked a cake for the Doctor that was so delicious he ate it up in one gulp.” Saying the Doctor ate the cake would be controlling the actions of another player.)

    In-Game Character Information

    Character’s Name: Edith Cole

    Character’s Sex: Female

    Character’s Race: Heartlander, Human

    Character’s Age: 28

    Biography:

Born in winter of all times,  Edith was born. And she can never forget it. “Do you know the trouble you caused us?” was one of her mother’s favourites. Or even, “We nearly starved trying to raise you!” But only her. None of the harsh words were ever ushered to any of her other five siblings. Though her mother claimed to never play favourites, it was clear she favoured her eldest and cruelest of them all- Charity. What a joke! Charity was anything but, with her constant I’m-better-than-you sneers. Edith would rather play “bloody knuckles” with her four brothers. Or better yet, spend time with her father.

Though her mother was a witch, Edith’s father was a gentle man despite his rank as a guard. And he loved his children.  Each and every one of them. And Edith loved him more than anything else. Naturally it crushed her when he died. They say the life of a guard isn’t a long one. At least not one who’s always in on the action. His death crushed the not only Edith, but her family. Her mother had to take longer and longer shifts at the market stall and all the children had to pull their own weight. And still, the family was starving. So what to do except get rid of a mouth or two? At the age of fourteen- one year after her father’s death- Edith ran away. As far as the family knew. The story from Edith’s point of view was a wake up call in the middle of the night, a quickly patched satchel, and a mother telling her to leave and never come back. So she left. And never looked back.

After living her fourteen years of her life in Laurelin, it was hard leaving home. But she found her way with a little help. After only three months of living as a beggar child, she ran into someone. An old friend of her father’s that used to be a guard and now raised a family in Krinfird.  He took her in and said she could stay, as long as she worked hard. And she did, pulling her own weight just as before except under kinder guidance. For six years she lived among them- her father’s friend, his wife, and his daughter- before making her own way into the world and setting off to seek what she most desired. To become a guard. This, however, did not come easy. Lorraine? Spend two years training working part time as a farmer. Denied as a guard. Istria? Three more years of training working where work was needed. Cutting word here, tanning leather there. Denied as a guard. Savoy? Another three years of training and nearly starved to death trying to focus on her training and nothing else. Denied. It was only a matter of time before she was accepted. Next stop? Felsen. And this time she WILL succeed! Perhaps a year as a merchant and more training this time? Then she’ll apply once again.

Personality Traits: Edith is fiercely determined to achieve her goals. When she sets her mind on something nothing can stand in her. Even the grudges she constantly hold. Revenge will have to wait.

Ambitions: To be a guard! No doubt about it, this is the one thing she most desires. Though... she does have a part in her that yearns for revenge. After the torment of her sister and mother, one day she wishes to make them feel the pain she felt.

Strengths/Talents: Edith is one of the hardest workers and most determined people you will ever meet. After years of training, she’s built up a fair amount of muscle and skill and is willing to challenge anyone who comes her way to a sparring.

Weaknesses/Inabilities: Edith has spent a good portion of her life trying to be guard and with her determination you would expect she would have become one by now. But no. And why is that? Probably the gimp leg. Having a bad leg doesn’t really make hard work or training easy. No enforcement wants a guard that always has to have a walking stick.

Appearance: Despite her beautiful sister and mother, Edith wasn’t as tall slender and.. Well.. gorgeous. Especially with that crooked, gimp leg of hers. Part of it was from years of training building on muscles. She did, though, take the ginger hair of her mother and the blue eyes of her grandparents. When not training or working hard outside of town, Edith tries to keep up appearances. When first leaving home she… swiped a few things.  Including the expensive purple gown of her mother’s. So naturally Edith wears it around constantly as way of rubbing it in her face (even if she’ll never see it). It also adds to making her look of more fortune than she really is. No WAY was she returning to that beggar child life! Edith never wanted to seem that desperate again. Even if she can only get around with a walking stick, more or less.

    In-Game Character Information

Character’s Name: Aldonza Cervantes (Both first and last name a tie to the author Miguel De Cervantes and his book Don Quixote. While I do not consider the use of a name to tie in with plagiarism, my rules are not so strict as others, and I would just like to confirm that this name would be acceptable. )

    Character’s Sex: Female

    Character’s Race: Highlander, Human

    Character’s Age: 24

    Biography:

Aldonza was part of a travelling camp (mostly located in the North and commonly travelling through the villages and cities of Oren) in which her father was a hunter, selling game to villages the camp came across and trading among other members of the camp while her mother (a previous heartlander who fell in love with both her father and the ways of travel) worked nights as a scholar studying the stars and recording her research which was then to be traded or sold under a fake name in case of any harshness towards a female scholar (which she sometimes came across as it was a travelling camp after all and different places have different beliefs and cultures). Even though she doesn't know much of her birthplace (What was it called? Slaveless? Serenvis? Somewhere in Oren. She could always ask her parents if she cared.) she does know the story of her name. While her mother always rolls her eyes at the tale, her father eagerly repeats it whenever requested. Aldonza. The women of Istria who saved her father's life. Ah a great story, but a tale for another time as this is Aldonza's story and NOT her father's (while the story of Aldonza she loves, there's only so many tales of a parent's past any child can stand.)

Though Aldonza never saw much of her mother due to her long hours into the nights and days spent in the travelling cart sleeping whether on the road or not, Aldonza aspired to become a scholar though of a different topic. With a mother as a scholar, it was common for the family to have a fair amount of books for their wealth (which was average if not below). Many of the books mentioned great and not-so-great times of the ages. History of the world called to her, and she devoted her life as a historian and archaeologist, searching the world for artifacts of the past.

After may many years of study in her younger age (Or at least what felt like many years to a child, but was more like two or three), Aldonza finally declared herself old enough to set out into the world on her own. With some tearful goodbyes to life-long friends and family, she set out in search of knowledge. Though this head-held-high and heartfelt goodbye was rather wasted on a year as a librarian in Fi'Ceru, two years on a goose chase for an artifact she was SURE was a real thing, but turned out to be nothing more than a drunk man's tale, and a year travelling around pulling devious stunts and picking pockets. Though the life of thievery is not desirable, Aldonza will do what it takes to survive with mild shame. After a wasted four years, her initial motivation is regained and she becomes determined to achieve the title of a well respected scholar and archaeologist. Back on the road, Aldonza has stopped thinking about the present and now looks into the past.... and a few pouches. Hey! Even a scholar's gotta eat!

Personality Traits: After years of living on the road and meeting an array of some… unpleasant folk, Aldonza has come to worship the idea of “eat or be eaten”. While she does feel guilt through thievery and the initial disloyal nature of her persona, the guilt won’t stop her from her actions. The trait of what can be considered “scumbag” has fallen into Aldonza’s lap and she accepts it reluctantly if it means survival. To be more blunt, she always picks the winning side. The ways of trickery and deceitfulness has Aldonza wrapped around it’s little finger and it’s becoming easier and easier for her to lie. From her beliefs, to her past, she will weave any tale necessary to get what she wants.

Strengths/Talents: Regretfully, yet with a twinge of satisfaction, Aldonza is a natural when it comes to picking pockets. Though she can thankfully say this is not the only “admirable” thing about her. The life of a hunter’s daughter has also given her an advantage with wildlife and being able to easily pick up a track.

Weaknesses/Inabilities: While some may not consider it a weakness, Aldonza's constant distrust can often hinder rather than help, that and the fact that- despite being a hunter's daughter- she can't throw, wield, catch, stab, dice, chop, or do basically anything with a knife if her life depended on it (which sometimes it does). The only person she's ever actually managed to cut with one is herself. She's not even that clumsy and yet somehow she always manages to get some kind of scratch every time she handles the blasted thing.

Appearance: Aldonza has the appearance of someone in her mid-forties despite her young age as most highlanders. But a life of hard travel and sneaking through the woods with her father fas made her fit if not partially giving off the look of malnutrition. Despite most of her mother’s look from the big silver eyes and to the long fingers and arrogant smile, she has her father’s black hair and birthmark above her right elbow as well as the constant curious and mischievous look glinting in her eyes.
