Out-Of-Character Information
Please do your best to correct spelling and grammatical errors, this is an RP server and writing is the main form of communication!
I apologize for the poor formatting in advance.
What’s your Minecraft account name?: Perplexed_Aris.
How old are you?: Fourteen.
Are you aware the server is PG-13 (You won’t be denied for being under 13): Yes.
Have you read and agreed to the rules?: Yes.
What’s the rule you agree with the most?: The prohibition of ERP. It really brings me down to know that someone RPs for the sake of ERP, instead of it being the other way around. Either way, in most cases, ERP doesn't bring anything but controversy to the community, and a house divided by itself can't stand. Seen it happen before, hopefully won't need to see it happen again.
Are there any rule(s) that confuse you or don’t make sense? (if so we can help clear it up!): Maybe the combat rules, they're a little unorthodoxed. The whole PvP in an RP scenario is pretty new to me, so maybe it's best if I just get taught by the friends who invited me here in the first place. Also, I really don't get the time thing. I read it was one IG year per IRL week, but is there like a map for it? Thanks in advance.
How did you find out about Lord of the Craft?: Word-of-mouth, mostly Medvekoma.
Link(s) to past Whitelist Applications (If applicable): N/A.
Definitions
Feel free to Google the answers or browse our forums, but make sure that you write the reply in your own words, not those of another website or person! Plagiarizing will result in the automatic denial of your application!
What is roleplaying?: It is when one takes the role of a character, typically one of their own creation, and acts out their life/act out their actions in a certain event.
What is metagaming?: It is the use of out-of-game resources to benefit you IRP.
What is power-emoting (powergaming)?: It's the overpowering of a character, to the point where they are virtually invincible. It can go from stating the emote as if it were fact, to ignoring emotes from people around them which have consequence to the power-gamer. It's complex, but you'll know it when you see it.
In-Character Information Now you actually make your character - be creative but stay reasonable! Make sure they make sense and that they follow lore. Try to come up with a character that you actually want to play.

Biography (Please make it a decent two paragraphs long. Remember to add three references to the server lore.): (where does your character come from?; where have they traveled to?; what year were they born in? et cetera.):
Balthazar was the second-born, three boys keeping the house filled with his mother and father, Edna and Phillip Coffyn. Born inside Courland, the Coffyn household earned their livelihood as wood-workers, and Balthazar chose to be much the same. While he couldn't do much at the young age of six, he was one to play lumberjack with his brothers. While they chopped away at the logs, he mimicked to do the same with sticks, and while they ultimately broke as they hit the trunk, the boy was happy enough to feel as if he were 'helping'. His education came from his mother, who's personalities could split from mother to teacher in the blink of an eye. For this, there was a time where Balthazar didn't know what to think of his mother, as he never truly knew if at the time his mother was being his teacher, or his mother. However, seeing as his brothers where incredibly attached to her, and considering how desperate he was to gain the admiration of both his mother and his brothers-- His family in general, he partook in the deep consideration of Edna. He did this in private, however, as he'd already been teased for being so dependent on Edna. He refused to seem like the weakling, even at such a young age, and as such, he chose his times for when he could be cuddly with his mother very carefully. Phillip wished the same for him-- an independent man who could make a living himself. Once he came of age, he'd finally grown a tad out of his mother thanks to puberty's rebellious effects, and was ready to help his father in the log-work. Finally able to reach his brother's ranks, they began to bond even more so, and continue contact through letters and monthly meetings to this day-- With the one he has left, of course. See, the eldest of the three, Damien, was caught under a tree's slam as his Phillip felled it. His death was followed by grief, and a passive-aggressive hate for Phillip by most members of the house. He was buried behind the house itself. Phillip, having had enough of the blaming and constant harassment for the accident with Damien, left the house without warning, though he did decide to leave enough tender to live a month. In this time, Balthazar and the youngest of the now duo, Cristobal, took a seat an discussed how they would make money with their mother. All members, with the exception of Edna, felt shame for having mistreated Phillip, but pulled through to decide the Balthazar would try and take over the wood-work, and Cristobal would sit back until he was of age. Their mother went off in the search of a new man to support her family.
Balthazar had it in his head that there was no way he could support the entire house, and as such, he began to search for workers to work by his side. At the age of fifteen, he was out on the streets, rallying the unemployed, poor or stable, to join the 'Wooden Coffyn', his very own wood-working force. It was certainly small, just a few workers who could barely get payed thanks to the low production quantities. They persevered, however, making due for a small task force with longer hours. This put a toll on Balthazar, as he'd now become a slave to the coin, barely any time to do anything for his own. All he did was work, and this way it remained until he was 19. They had definitely hired more people throughout the years, and this gave the brothers opportunities to do things for their own-- to have fun as adults. The little entrepreneur inside Balthazar refused to leave, however, and he began devising plots to expand the business. This kept him busy in his travels, talking to fellow workers not only gave him charisma, but taught him how to talk economy and business with anyone, from the poorman to the filthy rich noble. You'd expect the businessman to be a heartless combatant, but thanks to the affection from his mother and his healthy relationship with his brother, he continues to have sensible roots. He now travels to Belsen, seeking to live out his days with enough money to live luxuriously, as he considers his work his finest craft, though he wants to create a family to mourn him just like he did Phillip. He too wishes to make connections with nobility, regardless of its difficulty. Balthazar has decided to start with Noble Houses, and then move up to Great Houses, and should the God he holds so dear bless him, whatever lay beyond that.
Personality Traits: (what are your character's quirks?; habits?; likes and dislikes?):
Likes:
- Decadence: Being an avid of coin himself, he likes flaunting it-- and surprisingly, he likes to see how others show their wealth too. Wether it be an especially expensive cloth at his pocket, or fully adorned clothes, he'll style something to say, 'Look, I make money too!'
- Loyalty: While he himself might not be the most loyal, he praises the loyal worker of his, and as bi-product, all others who aid their cause with honesty and utmost loyalty. He is hypocritical in praising others and not doing so himself, but he goes by the 'Heed my words, not my actions' mentality.
- The Understanding: Being one with many things to talk about, he appreciates a good listener, and tries to be one himself. Anyone he can openly talk about his feelings to is a friend he'll truly value, and even more so if they decide to help and support him through whatever hardship he may be going through.
- Hot Drinks and Foods: Coffee, Hot Chocolate, you name it. If it makes his tongue sting and eyes water, Balthazar's bound to love it.
- Freedom: He is incredibly thankful for his freedom to do what he wills. So much so, in fact, that should he be restricted from doing so-- Say, locked in a jail cell, he'd make an outrage at how this is a violation to his person. He too believes that everyone else should have freedom, and provides help for others to have said freedom, but he believes he should have freedom before anyone else. Should he be free, he'd be willing to help anyone to gain his same status of liberty and justice, wether it be through coin, socialization, or more.
Dislikes:
- The Conservatives: He believes that old traditions are good to an extent, and that those who try to impose them on someone instead of progressing into something new are deviltry. Balthazar considers himself a progressive thinker, though this can be argued in certain aspects of his lifestyle (following religion, following superstitions, etc.)
- Getting Wet: While this is not to the extreme that he won't do it if necessary, he prefers not to get wet at all. He may get grumpy when it rains and he's caught in the storm, or when he can't leave somewhere thanks to a blistering hurricane.
- Conformists: He thinks that those who conform to norms will not do anything in their lives but get by. The belief of making something that outlives you burns inside Balthazar, and those who don't share it strike a funny bone of his that shouldn't be struck.
- Quitters: He, someone who didn't quit when even his father ran away, finds it disgusting for someone to quit without even trying too hard. He, however, encourages the person to keep trying. Sometimes aggressively, but support he does.
Habits/Quirks:
- Balthazar is very superstitious when it comes to luck. He likes knocking on wood for good luck, picking up that one piece of tender on the ground in order to get some good luck, wearing his lucky clothes and lucky necklace, etc. He never leaves the house without doing one of these 'lucky' things.
- He tends to mimic the person at the other side of the table he's eating at. His parallel crosses their legs? So does he. His parallel readjusts themselves? So does Balthazar. It goes on, and on, and he's unconscious to it.
- He tends to bite his nails, but he keeps this hidden under gloves.
Ambitions: (what does your character aspire to be?): At a long term, Balthazar hopes to marry at some point, and maybe even have a family of his own, and definitely not kill his offspring like Phillip. On the short term, Balthazar hopes to expand his wood-works into the Capital, and claim success just as it's born.
Strengths/Talents: (what is your character really, really good at?)
- Money Management: Thanks to his background, Balthazar can be a treasurer or financial advisor. He knows when to lay down his bets financially speaking, and when to hold back for a better opportunity.
- Axe Combat: Being a lumberjack, it's only natural for him to wield one in battle too.
- Stamina: He knows how to manage his energy effectively for his best performance in battle, work, or otherwise.
Weaknesses/Inabilities: (what is a skill that your character needs to work on?):
- Compulsive: With the exclusion of money, there are times where he simply does not know when to stop. He relies on family and friends to help him on this.
- Stubborn: As much as he considers himself progressive, there are just some things he can't let go of. Wether it be socially or otherwise, there will always be something he just can't change his mind on, even if it's for his own betterment.
- Greedy: He likes his tender, and is often caught getting it in ways he shouldn't. He's been a slave to the coin for long enough, and you can tell that such a thing stays with you.
Appearance: (what does your character look like?; how tall are they?; hair color?; scars?):
Balthazar styles blonde hair and a pale complexion, somewhat tanned thanks to his work outdoors. His eyes melt in icy, baby blue, whilst his countenance itself holds a cross between a natural point and a brute shape, once again, thanks to his livelihood. His facial hair is shaven, and his brows are a tad crooked, as he never really takes care of them like he does his hair. His turn-up nose complements his cheekbones, He holds a muscle-tone easily above average, as chucking away at lumber and traveling the woods for good harvest isn't an easy task. Fashionably, he styles a leather guard across his chest while a common red garb clothes him underneath. He tends to roll his sleeves back, sometimes for heat, sometimes to show off indiscriminately. The leather is kept hooked by a belt of the same material, silver keeping it fixed at the middle. The garb drops under this, and his pants are plain and somewhat baggy black. Finally, his feet are coated by a pair of boots, black swell, though laced with gray. He stands at 6'1, and weighs, currently, 165 pounds. He isn't very careful about his weight, though, and this could change on wether he eats more or eats less.
