What is roleplaying?: Roleplay, or RP for short, is the act of playing the role of and acting as a character would rather than yourself. Lord of the Craft is a roleplaying server, and thus all players are required to create a roleplay character whose shoes they will fill for all in-game interactions. Players must roleplay their character's name, age, race, interests, and character history.
What is metagaming?: Metagaming is using informations outside of your characters life to use them as guideance.
What is power-emoting (powergaming)?: Power-emoting is the act of any character doing something they'd realistically be unable to do. In truth, even Metagaming is a form of power-emoting. Power-emoting is detrimental to Roleplaying through the breaking of immersion, and a loss for fairness to other players. Power-emoting is most easily displayed when an emote made by a player is made that does not allow another player to respond/defend himself from. This is considered power-emoting because it is giving one's character the ability to overpower someone else's character without any resistance, while realistically there'd be quite some resistance.

My name is Evan Esch Mellows I was born in Sutica on 3rd, of Snow Maiden in 1553. My father was A rich man, but he died when I was 4, So I never got a chance to really get to know him. My mother always stayed home with my brothers and I, Jack was the oldest out of the three of us, but my other brother, Jurion, him and I are twins. Jack, he was 5 years older than Jurion and I... Jack died in a battle when we were 16. After Jack died the rest of my family moved out of the city to a small farm house, Where my mum got ill and died 1 year ago. So it's just Jurion and I now... Jurion joined the army, and asked if I wanted to join aswell, I said yes. So as I'm writing this I am getting ready to pack up all my stuff and start heading off to the trainig grounds. I wanted to join because I don't like being by my self for a long time, plus, it's in honer of Jack. My father would be proud of Jurion and I. This will be interesting because I'm fairly good at sword fighting and riding on horseback. I have a feeling I'm going to get homesick, I also forgot to mention my dog, Zaboor, he is a very big dog, I really don't want to leave him, but my great cousin will look after him while we are gone. I really like snow, that was very random, but it is true. I must be going now, I have to get some rest, tommorow I have to be on my way, and say goodbye to Zabbor.
Personality Traits: (what are your character's quirks?; habits?; likes and dislikes?) I really like animals, and family they ment everything to me I am so greatful I still have Jurion. I dislike bad things, In this case war, blood, hitting, the reason I joined the army is because I want to suport Jurion.
Ambitions: (what does your character aspire to be?) I would like to be a soldior and fight in battles. Like my brother did.
Strengths/Talents: (what is your character really, really good at?) I'm really good at sword fighting like my father was, I'm also good at riding on horseback as I said before, I'm also good at eating.
Weaknesses/Inabilities: (what is a skill that your character needs to work on?) I always want to get better at sword fighting, I am O.K. at archery, so I guess I could get better at that too.
