  1. Out-Of-Character Information Please do your best to correct spelling and grammatical errors, this is an RP server and writing is the main form of communication! What’s your Minecraft account name?: Opiyu12 How old are you?: 21. What timezone are you in?: Eastern, U.S. Are you aware the server is PG-13 (You won’t be denied for being under 13): Yes. Have you read and agreed to the rules?: I Have. What’s the rule you agree with the most?: The Rule on Metagaming, because even in the top MMO's, most users don't consider this at all, though it's a RPG. Are there any rule(s) that confuse you or don’t make sense? (if so we can help clear it up!): How did you find out about Lord of the Craft?: I was curious how Minecraft was doing and as I'm writing a sci-fi fantasy myself, I wanted to play on an RP server. I Googled "D&D-like minecraft servers". Link(s) to past Whitelist Applications (If applicable): Have you logged into the server yet? (You cannot be whitelisted without logging in at least once): Yes. Definitions Feel free to Google the answers or browse our forums, but make sure that you write the reply in your own words, not those of another website or person! Plagiarizing will result in the automatic denial of your application! What is roleplaying?:To me, RP is a way to delve into one's own creativity and imagination. You can present yourself with a reality completely different from yours and now tell a story of how you would act upon facing a dragon, or being cought in the middle of a steam-punk/"enlightenment era" war. As a constant fantasy writer, I find great enjoyment in creating characters that take different paths that I'd take, (and not take) and nothing is greater than looking back to see how they have evolved. What is metagaming?: I'd say metagaming is one of the biggest contributors for an RPG to loose the RP, due to the fact that most players of MMO's, etc. don't want to take the time to make lengthy stories for their character and then follow it as if they were truly living in the RP world. What is power-emoting (powergaming)?: Every so often in table-tops and in MMO's, there are players who either get anxious, frustrated or other emotions that lead them to try to cheat the game. I myself have been in a D&D session where friends and I were dueling each other and one in particular was trying to make me fall for subtle hints of him winning, though the opposite was happening. I'm not going to say that people who do this are less of players, but I will say that it is never entertaining to have it occur and is another huge factor in what can destroy a RPG. In-Character Information Now you actually make your character - be creative but stay reasonable! Make sure they make sense and that they follow lore. Try to come up with a character that you actually want to play. Character’s name: (what do you want your character to be called?) Azyla Opiyu. Character’s sex: (male or female?) Male. Character’s race: (you can find all the playable races here.) Human, Heartlander. Character’s age: (upon application, your character must be 18 or older, and depending on the race, they can be over five hundred years old!) 18. Biography (Please make it a decent two paragraphs long. Remember to add three references to the server lore.): (where does your character come from?; where have they traveled to?; what year were they born in? et cetera.) Born and raised in the outskirts of Felson, Azyla's parents were free subjects that were traveling from Salvus, but unfortunately, his mother was ill and passed during his birth. His father brought Azyla as a newborn into the city and found a Conon vessel that took the infant in under the Creator and so on. As Azyla grew up, he studied primarily religion and history of the Oren Empire, with the occasional story of the vast world outside of Vailor. When he turned 14, he began watching the knights practice combat and defense and found a liking in the short sword and light mace, but never owned any weapon beyond a stick; though the thought of adventure and traveling brought much excitement, thus beginning to linger in his mind more and more everyday. The same year, also began as a messenger for the church as well as a dock hand on Seaside, lugging cargo of the incoming ships. Rarely did he spend his low earnings on anything, but food for him and his father, (who had been working for the church ever since the day Azyla's mother passed) every so often throwing a piece or two to a hunger child and binging small necessities to the medical facility like clean cloths/linens. Soon enough, in the end of harvesting season, Azyla's father became ill as well and perished, to meet with his forever woman. Shortly after, Azyla met an elderly man that he had seen for almost all of his life, just wandering about the city, striking conversation with fairly everyone he encountered. Though he was religious in a sense of belief, he avoided warship that wasn't truly devoted, bu rather believed in philosophy. It only took a few conversations for Azyla to begin to question things and his own existence, which only extended his urge to seek beyond the Vailor shores. A year later, he spotted a group of travelers equipped with bows and quivers, sheathes and shields as well as shrouded leather cloaks. Curious, he approached, but still kept his distance as they toured through Newport Boulevard, while he didn't know that they were on to him. Azyla lost track of them and frantically searched until in a moment he was face down to the ground in between two buildings. Thankfully, they left him harmless and even talked with him about their tales from the other lands. Feeling all anxious, he called to them asking to teach him the basics, but of course they hesitated and kept on with their tour. The next day the group found Azyla and had decided to stay for the season, thus giving them incentive to train him in the simplest forms of venturing on the North-Western outskirts of the city. Finally the day had come and Azyla was now the age of 18 and decided to go outward from Felson, to embark on a journey for himself and maybe someday return. He hadn't the funds to prepare himself for the Deep Cold, but he had his will and his head held high, for he knew one thing; life would only become more of a struggle as he continued. Personality Traits: (what are your character's quirks?; habits?; likes and dislikes?) Semi-Charitable, venturous, a young philosopher and wanderer; Azyla typically strays from the suggested path, but works hard not to fault, even on his worst mistakes. He likes resting every so often at beautiful vistas, whether looking down on the ocean, valleys or cities, you'll find him on a mountain or hill side smoking out of a 10" tobacco pipe, writing the scenery in nice poetic harmony. He doesn't typically like domestic fights caused by individual arrogance, but does nothing to stop them. He also stays clear from aligning his path with another if he believes theirs is corrupt. Ambitions: (what does your character aspire to be?) Azyla hopes to see the world in all of its glory and all of its misery, taking part in wars and other conflicts, but also making sure his daily life can be enjoyed by the time he lays his head to rest. Besides a predominant vagabond, he also wants to become a good fighter to keep himself alive and other that he admires as well; of course he'd still enjoy the heroic status of at least taking down some bigger creatures that he's heard of in tales. Strengths/Talents: (what is your character really, really good at?) Concentration, gathering info, and perceptional skills are his strong point. Weaknesses/Inabilities: (what is a skill that your character needs to work on?) Stealth, long-distance combat and general strength are where he's weakest. Appearance: (what does your character look like?; how tall are they?; hair color?; scars?) Standing at 5'8" high and weighing 145lbs. Azyla is lightly toned, from moderate exposure to the sun. He has thick, hazel-brown hair that hangs at no longer, nor shorter than one foot, resting at the peek of the spine between his shoulder blades. It's typically messy when venturing, but pulled back and laid out flat when in a city or formal gathering. His eyes match his hair, with slightly darkened bottom eye lids that show off a disturbance in his sleeping pattern and turn a bit blood-shot easily from brightness and excessive winds. A well-average body figure leaves him able to venture, protect/fight and more, but he does find enjoyment on an occasional tobacco stop when he discovers an incredible vista; thus rendering long runs/swims an extreme effort. He prefers to keep a trimmed mustache, sideburns and beard, which are also hazel-brown, (but can appear golden brown with the right lighting); but he shaved bare from time to time. Skin: (please provide us a screenshot of your character’s skin; if you need help, see our screenshot guide here.)
