Character’s name: Sylvari Oakrun Character’s sex: Male Character’s race: Wood Elf Character’s age: 26 Biography: Sylvari is a Wood Elf who has no memory of where he came from, he wanders around roaming the land and has been reluctant to settle down in one place. He would rarely speak to people unless it was necessary. He has always lived by himself and thus has become uncultured in the Wood elf Elf ways. He commonly writes down things he sees in his travels so he will always remember everything, for the fear of forgetting has plagued him sense he was young. All he remembers from the day he lost his memories is the scar on his back. Sylvari forgot his past when he was wandering in the forest when he was just around the age 24. He became lost and realized his mistake for not paying attention to where he was going and thus sat down next to an old Oak tree. He sat their pondering how he would get home when suddenly he was slashed on his back, the pain was sudden, sharp, and felt as cold as ice. He stumbled forward lifting himself upwards to turn around to face whatever was attacking. Once he turned around he was grabbed by his neck and lifted off the ground. He struggled look and see what was strangling him and he realized it was a Wight. He could feel the Wight's cold grasp on his neck and struggled to be free of it. The wight lifted him higher off the ground and threw him around 10 feet making him smash into a tree. His back surged with pain and his head hit the tree which caused him to black out. The wight grabbed his body and dragged it deeper into the forest and then left it their leaning next to a tree after traveling a substantial distance. It was first light when Sylvari woke up on the ground leaning next to a tree. The first thing he did was trying to move and he felt the pain in his back surge which caused him to fall back against the tree. He sat their for days and is then found by a group of Men. They nurtured him back to health and gave him new clothes to wear because his old ones were ruined beyond repair. The men described as having long white hair at least to the bottom of his shoulders, he had a long scar on his back, his eyes were a dark purple, his skin was fair, and he was around 6'3. They asked him his name and he said he could not remember. One of the Women from the village was searching through his clothes and found that he had a solid gold watch with a name inscribed on the back "Sylvari" and thus that is what the men called him. Sylvari thanked the people of the village for what they did for him and then said he was going to leave their company. The people asked why he would do such a thing when he had forgotten his past. Sylvari said he didn't know why he wanted to leave but he did nonetheless and left the men and women saying a final thanks and goodbye. It was many years before Sylvari did anything of significance. He decided he would board one of the ships heading to Vailor. Sylvari had a pointless life it seemed so he thought heading somewhere new could live a new life. He boarded the ship and with many other passengers it traveled to Vailor. When they landed the first thing he decided to do was buy materials to make clothing the ones he was wearing were in need of dire repair so he though it be better off if he made his own. He had practiced leather working for many years and this he a thought to himself would be his masterpiece. The clothes he made were had many different whites and grays on it, it was trimmed with gold and had a hood and robes. When he finished he adorned his new clothes, fine they were. He thought he could sell these to royals and become the court leather worker but alas he did not do so. He went on with his travels and arrived near the Elven capital city Lin'Sulan. He did not enter the city but looked at it from a distance and admired its architecture and wrote down all the details in his journal. He traveled the land many years to come and came to enjoy traveling and started to enjoy solitude and being alone. Sylvari still has a constant fear of forgetting anything this lead him to write in his journal which has kept for much time. During his travels he would always have to fix his clothing so he became well trained at leather working. He has always disliked loud noises so cities were not the place for him, he had also disliked being in the crowed. Sylvari had conjured in his mind that he wanted to become a master leather worker so he tirelessly worked at it every day and night. Sylvari had become known as an outcast by fellow High Elves because of his nature. He could not understand the hate for the other races he had become accustomed to being ignored by other High Elves but that was fine with him all he cared for was his wandering. Sylvari had met so many souls on his journeys that became known as kind and generous but often shy. Sylvari arrived at the fort of Kal'Ordholm to buy some supplies for next journey when he noticed many of the troops started racing towards the walls of the fort armed with bow and sword. He heard shouting and saw arrows flying in the air so he took for cover. He a many dwarves be shot and being carried away for immediate medical attention. One of the dwarves asked if he could help be a medic and insisted that he help. Sylvari didn't want to leave the dwarves who were injured so he decided he would help take care of injured. Sylvari saved a great many lives that day helping in the infirmary . After the battle Sylvari left the fort with his supplies and thank the dwarves gave and so he ever wandered once more. Ambitions: My character aspires to become a leader, to help guide those who need to be. He hates people who is too prideful and people who cheat their way to get money. From murderers to theives. Strengths/Talents: My character is determined in what he does, and will give his all, sometimes to a point where he breaks down. He knows self defense, and is the one of the best in the army. He is a quick learner. Weaknesses/Inabilities: My character is over aggressive when it come to battles. He is often headstrong, and can easily get himself into trouble by acting without thinking things out. Appearance: Sylvari has brownish yellow hair, a brown, white, and black jacket. Remember to add three references to the server lore.): So it begins the year of 1550 when Sylvari was born. His parents were both wood elves who lived in the big city of Lin'sulan. His father a wealthy merchant who would trade with people from all around the nation. His mother would mostly occupy herself with literature. Sylvari had a brother who he never met due to his early and tragic death at the age of 5. That's why Sylvari is being very well treated by his parents who adore him. From an early age, Sylvari had a inclination to studying. Spending so much time with his well-educated mother he loved reading and from an early age he would read various books to gain general knowledge. Although he was closer with his mother, his father was a great role model for him. He learned how trading works so one day he could take over his father's profession, he was the one who taught him about respect and honor which always meant a lot for him. His father met Lyari Khideli and that was something he would brag about almost everyday. Sadly he lost him due to a disease they weren't able to cure soon enough. Nevertheless he was already old enough to know what he wanted to do with his life. Being so keen to study, he wanted to learn how to become a swordsman and archer. Oliver’s father was a farmer and his mother was a guard in the Elvin army. Most of the time he would spend his day treating the animals and farming crops. As he grew up his mom was killed when he was 13 in a raid against some bandit outlaws. A couple years later his father passed away because a Disease that he was Unknown of After both his parents died. He didn’t have the money to pay for anything so he lost his home, items and animals all he had left was a bow, a quiver of arrows , some wheat, and a will to survive. One night he ventured out at the age of 20 and Went looking for a job and some housing all he found was a Small Levy looking for Good fighters he Joined it , he was provided Armour, better weapons , A pay of 50 every Elvin week and a Small house in the village. Every pay he got he would save it so he Left the town and Levy. When he hit 27 he met a man in the city of Kelsari. The man told him about Johannesburg as the man told him more and more about the place the more he would like to visit. The man gave him a map to Johannesburg so Sylvari rented a horse and went to search for the huge city Johannesburg.
