Hector Henricos was born on a well established yet isolated village as the son of a carpenter who served their lord as a maker of equipment for the local militia. As a teenager Hector assisted his father in the production of said equipment and at times was even able to use it himself. Whenever he could he practiced with the commoners weapons such as the spear and the bow, although no where near as noble as the mounted knights he would spot pass in and out of the town during times of war, he still appreciated what he could get and use. When he was 17 there was a feud between his lord and a neighboring lord with much more strength of arms, in order to defend the town he was levied into the town militia. Despite the height of the walls and the number of mustered men from the town, Hector and his town were doomed from the start. After several skirmishes and eventually a long siege the town was taken, looted and razed. Although fighting bravely and watching his family and friends being put to the sword, Hector managed to escape with a small group of townspeople and fled into the woods. Hungry, lost and alone, Hector and the survivors luckily came in contact with a mercenary company known as the Shield Brothers who surprisingly took on many of the able bodied men, including himself despite his age, and even the displaced women and children. Since then he has been serving as a loyal, hardy and talented fighter among the ranks of the Shield Brothers, and has participated in many battles even at the age of 23 and has the scars to back it up. Now with a good amount of gold in his pocket, and a lust for adventure and battle, Hector travels to Atlas to seek his fortune.
