A lot of pros and cons. While I like the idea of a safety team, it perhaps should have been introduced in a better way, and the selected starters picked with more caution.

I love the CT- but feel as it makes 0 sense the library is there. We cant steal artifacts from it, break into the restricted section, and a lot of other things due to the fact that it’s in the CT where no villainy rp can occur.

Welcome witches. Hail haunters. Greetings gravelings.

As promised our spooky seasonal festivities have been underway throughout the Elven Month. Our horrifying horde of trick or treaters have traveled across the continent, we’ve created blood-curdling concoctions, told spooky stories around the fire and it’s not even Hallow’s Eve’ yet. There’s even a murder mystery to solve in the Talus Grove!

However my tricksy troublemakers, you’ve been slacking and not snacking.

We invited you to trick or treat at our gruesome Groveyard and only the Halflings of Brandybrook have proven to have the seasonal stomach. Tsk tsk.

Throughout the remainder of the Elven Week, any trick or treaters who visit the Grove will receive extra treats and minimal tricks, in case you were frightened of a few Druids.

Hallow’s Eve 1740

If you’re still howling for grizzly games and creepy contests, then we’re giving you paranormally plentiful chances for a bite at the apple. Literally too, because we still have a whole freaky festival this year and everyone’s invited.

Cut open the top, scoop out the insides, gouge out some eyes and cut the mouth open. We meant pumpkins, what were you thinking of? Put your carving skills to the test, by making the most devilishly dashing, terrifically terrifying or creatively crazy jack o’lanterns. Receive a pumpkin and make Knox proud.

Pumpkin Brawl

Helm your head in Hallow’s Eve’s finest pumpkin and ready yourself for a challenge. Go headless to headless with other fighters in our twist on the usual tournament.  Not only must you best your opponent with a gourd upon your.. Well gourd, but the arena is filled with tricks to put you on uneven ground. Slog through the other contenders and be crowned Pumpkin King.

Upon the Elven Weekend, we reply. At the Talus Grove, follow the pumpkins from the main road, shriek with delight and prepare for scares.

Gruesome Greetings Arcas

Your fiendish friends at the devilish Druidic Order wish to invite you to join us in celebrating the turning of the leaves with our frightfully fun festivities. 

This whole Elven Month, Arcas will become our paranormal playground as we bring the spooktacular season to unlife for boos and ghouls of all ages across the continent. Prepare to get stuck into ghastly games and creepy competitions

Trick or Treat

Stock up on sweets and good eats, because every Elven Week we’ll visit a nation or major town to drag you kicking and screaming into the freaky festivities. That’s right, we’ll be shambling our way to a haunt near you to spread the spirit of the season. Hide all you might, but your walls and gates won’t keep us at bay.

Only ghostly getups, devious decorations, jack o’lanterns and treats will placate our tricks!

(( OOC: Every irl weekend of October, we’ll be trick or treating at a different city or settlement in full costume. Cities which make the effort to decorate for Halloween may be visited again, or receive a prize. You can even trick or treat at the Grove, just let us know you’re coming! ))

And if you dare to follow the howls and shrieks back to our gorey Groveyard, we’re playing ghost to eerie events you’ll want to sink your teeth into! Our occult offerings include three small-scaled opportunities for you to fall under the season’s spell.

Terror Tales

Shadows grow long as dusk creeps in, and night soon ensnares the evenings in darkness. Come join us in the Talus Grove and hear stories to chill you to the bone, leaving you shivering with fright. Don’t get cold feet though. Curl up by the fire, enjoy a hot drink and get cosy as terrific tales are brought to life before your eyes, helping to ease you into the season.

(( OOC: Story time in the Talus Grove 9th October @ 6pm EST. You have ten minutes to tell your spooky story, props and music are encouraged to help build atmosphere. The best story wins a prize. ))

Batty Brewing

Light the cauldrons, don your pointed hat and prepare for toil and trouble. Compete against other wily witches and try your hand at progressively more punishing potions, but be careful-

one wrong ingredient and you might turn your elixir of life into a draught of death!

Will you prove yourself a master of mixtures? 

Or will your dabble in drams be a disaster?

(( OOC: Brewing competition in the Talus Grove, 15th October @ 5pm EST. Follow increasingly complicated recipes and roll for each stage. Good emotes earn bonus points. At the end of each round the lowest score is knocked out, until the final two must go head to head. The best brewer wins, with runner up prizes also on offer! ))

Murder Mystery Mayhem

A murder’s been committed and it’s up to you to use your powers of deduction and intuition to lift the veil, bringing the killer to justice! Put on your deerstalker(Sorry Dwyn), grab your magnifying glass and get searching for clues. Mental magic is cheating~

Will you discover the killer?

Or will they slip through your fingers and claim another victim?

Nothing gets the blood pumping like murder.

(( OOC: A Who Dunnit hosted in the Talus Grove, 31st October @ 6pm EST. You may work as a team, or as a lone detective. Prizes awarded for successful deduction. You have one hour, before the murderer escapes your grasp. ))

Fall Festival

These ghoulish goings on, spooky soirees and preternatural parties will all come to a blood-curdling climax at the end of the Elven Month, where we’ll host a frightening Hallow’s Eve’ festival to celebrate the season of scares. And you’re all invited.

A certain druidic halfling from within the clinic would be slowly healing from the fight that occurred- her feet bandaged, her jaw wrapped up.. and soup next to her. She would read one of the messages, speaking awkwardly as her jaw was quite fractured

”Innocent? T’e kha tried ta’ kill me uncle.. an’ t’en t’e ‘innocent’ child.. tried ta’ drown me in t’e pond!”

The halfling would turn to the nice doctor who bandaged her up, asking for parchment. Once given, she would write down clearly a small note- asking the same nice doctor to put it on all the notices he could find!

“The ‘innocent’ kha tried to drag a small female halfling to a pond and drown her. The other kha jumped on an orc after they tried to buy a pelt from him- dishonourable acts starting a fight with an ally of a nation. They were asked to stop, and when they tried to murder the orc and the halfling- they were made to stop. Two sides to every story.”
