Karfug was born in 1611 just as Axios was at the height of war. He was born into the clan of Lak on the outskirts of the village in the swamp. He always felt the swamp was his one true home and loves to be among it. His parents were both mercenaries on their way to their reassignment in San'Garath when they were killed by a traveling band of Elves when Karfug was just about to reach maturity at 12. Karfug was able to get away as his parents held back the Elves. Afterwards Karfug felt abandoned and shunned by his clan due to his cowardice in running from a battle, and now he feels truly like a coward among warriors so he makes up for that whenever he can. Ever since his parents death his rage and desire for revenge has only grown. Karfug was then adopted for a year by his friend the olog Borf's family. Karfug and Borf participated in the siege of the Grand Kingdom of Urguan in 1636 where Karfug received a nasty blow to the back leaving a long scar. In his crippled state Karfug nearly died but was saved by Borf who sacrificed himself for Karfug's sake, and this made Karfug respect and feel brotherhood to all Olog's he comes in contact with. Later in life Karfug joined in many raids against Elves in which he gained many scars and lost two fingers on his left hand.
