  1. Out-Of-Character Information Please do your best to correct spelling and grammatical errors, this is an RP server and writing is the main form of communication! What’s your Minecraft account name?: Edvyn What timezone are you in?: GMT+10 How old are you?: 22 Are you aware the online content on this server may not be appropriate for children under the age of 13? You won’t be denied for being under 13): Yes Have you read and agreed to the rules?: Yes What’s the rule you agree with the most?: Sexual harassment under any circumstances will not be tolerated. This applies to everyone. References to rape, general sexual assault - non-consensual advances or vulgarity of that nature directed to either a player OOCly, with any form of communication, or a character RPly will not be tolerated. Three months, no warning. Seems like a no-brainer for me, but many places I've been to don't have solid rules against people getting creepy! Was glad to see this on your rules list. Are there any rule(s) that confuse you or don’t make sense? (if so we can help clear it up!): How did you find out about Lord of the Craft?: Two good friends of mine signed up, and I decided I'd join them. Link(s) to past Whitelist Applications (If applicable): N/A Have you logged into the server yet? (You cannot be whitelisted without logging in at least once): After reading this step, yes! Definitions Feel free to Google the answers or browse our forums, but make sure that you write the reply in your own words, not those of another website or person! Plagiarizing will result in the automatic denial of your application! What is roleplaying?: The act of playing an imaginary character in an amateur environment for the sake of creativity, escapism or self-expression, distinct from drama/theatre in that the actors must write their own lines. What is metagaming?: Metagaming is what happens when a player acts upon knowledge which was gathered through OOC means to influence IC outcomes, often to their own benefit. The end result of this resembles a kind of mind-reading and can be very off-putting to everyone involved. What is power-emoting (powergaming)?: The roleplayer's cardinal sin, powergaming has gone by many names in many mediums (godmoding/modding is a popular one) but its essence remains the same - when playing pretend, one must play fair. The powergamer doesn't care for this, choosing instead to strongarm their character's actions upon everyone around them. This is usually good fun for the powergamer, but awful for anyone unfortunate enough to deal with them. In-Character Information Now you actually make your character - be creative but stay reasonable! Make sure they make sense and that they follow lore. Try to come up with a character that you actually want to play. Character’s name: Ormanno Geste Character’s sex: Male Character’s race: Human Character’s age: 24 Biography (Please make it a decent two paragraphs long. Remember to add three references to the server lore): Ormanno Geste was born a merchant's son in the city of Calais, a coastal trade hub - this would typically point to a privileged upbringing, but the Geste family business filled a small and seldom-profitable niche: the collection and sale of assorted nick-knacks which weren't quite old enough to be considered antiques but were also in too poor a condition for the aspiring art collector. Tattered storybooks, faded paintings and the musty smell of armchairs old men might've died in were the young Ormanno's most striking childhood memories, second only to heated disputes between his mother and father over the latter's sad obsession with hoarding junk. No amount of pleading would drive his father, Salvadore, from his curiosities. This ended catastrophically - Ormanno's mother, Lavinia, left her now-former husband a note of farewell one winter night and never returned. Salvadore would later inform his son that she had no intention of doing so. Soon, the eccentric Salvadore's mindless gathering of all things pointless would be his demise - he passed away before Ormanno's 18th birthday of an unknown respiratory illness, leaving the young man all he owned. Ormanno's inheritance would amount to a pile of strange but worthless rubbish kept in a quickly-decaying storehouse, alongside whatever pittance his father left him. Selling the old shop to an Orenian noble, he left for the Crownlands in search of a better, happier life. The money he'd acquired proved enough to fund his academic pursuits, and Ormanno would soon fill his mind with knowledge of history and nature, the intricacies of the world around him, the passage of time and thought - his father's passing still loomed over him, however. What mania could drive someone to give up his livelihood over rotten, broken things barely worth even sentimental value? Salvadore's journal, written as a series of letters to his beloved son, did little to provide adequate answers to this question - The senior Geste would prove to be less coherent than Ormanno realized. Conspiratory babblings about the Church of the Canon wishing to steal his collection of oddities were interspersed with lines of poetry that bordered on gibberish and vivid sketches showing the faces of people who never existed. His father was a madman, and it took until adulthood for Ormanno to understand this. Personality Traits: Ormanno is a tense but soft-spoken man, ever watchful of his surroundings. He thoroughly believes that every new person he meets holds an interesting story that yearns to be told, and that the very ground he walks upon bears similar stories through the markings of countless feet that walked before his. He seeks to unravel personalities, digging into their inner workings to see what really makes them tick, and can often come off as nosy or inconsiderate because of it. Ambitions: Ormanno's studies have served only to pique his curiosity of what lies beyond - the mysteries of the mind call to him, promising him clarity, insight and a sense of purpose past his tumultuous upbringing. Whether he'll achieve the illusory powers he seeks is yet to be determined. Strengths/Talents: Ormanno has always been a patient man, requiring such a quality to cope with the conflict he observed as a boy. He is careful to act, and scorns rash decisions, preferring instead to work things out in a calm, methodical approach - he believes that the solution to many of life's problems lies in compromise, and is willing to negotiate in order to get what he needs from people. Patience has also benefited his studies, allowing him to amass a sizable array of general knowledge to draw upon in times of uncertainty. While his father dealt in obscure items, his son deals in obscure facts, and seems to take great pleasure in finding new and unusual pieces of information. Weaknesses/Inabilities: Patience is not always a virtue - when push comes to shove, Ormanno is prone to backing down or giving in to a more aggressive person's demands. Seeking to work with everyone he meets has the nasty side-effect of driving him to work with those who hold ill intentions, even if he is aware of them. He is forgiving to the point of spinelessness, and this is quite easy to exploit. He is a scholar, not a fighter, and holds little in the way of fitness or combat aptitude - only diplomacy will save him from a blade pointed at his throat. Appearance: Ormanno is a tall, thin man with pale white skin, coal-black hair and sensitive blue eyes which often appear purple in the light of the sun, fixed in a near-constant squint. His hair is a tad unkempt, but it's clear he makes the effort to cut it short before it grows to uncomfortable lengths. His features are narrow and often expressionless, making tone of voice the most viable way to read his emotions. He is typically clad in grayish-blue finery over a set of white tights, with shiny black leather boots running up his lower legs. A large belt bearing a circular ring as its buckle sits over his lower torso, holding a series of small hooks from which various tattered pouches dangle. Skin:
