What is Roleplaying?: Roleplaying is putting yourself into a character's shoes and immersing yourself into their story. It's like acting but 73 times more fun
What is Metagaming?: Using information your character did not aquire in a roleplay situation to assist said character in future situations. (Ex: someone messages you on Skype saying their character is being attacked in roleplay and you log onto the server in character to go help them)
What is Powergaming?: Imposing actions or consequences upon others in roleplay without taking their own actions or input into consideration. Another form of powergaming is creating characters that are "over-powered" or don't seem to have any weaknesses or flaws.

Biography:
Esmae was born in the outskirts of Lin'sulan on the Isles of Vailor in the year 1563. She lived here with her mother and father until their migration to the Isles of Axios at the age of nine. Upon their arrival in the new territory, Esmae's parents decided to establish their new home in the Dominion of Malin, but refrained from joining any large settlement. Instead, they errected a small cabin in the lush forests of eastern Malin. It is here that Esmae spent the next eleven years of her life. Her mother and father had eached belonged to a different Seed prior to being wed and were devout followers of the Aspects. As such, they passed down their beliefs and knowledge of nature to their daughter. Esmae joined her father on short hunting expeditions in the woods surrounding her home. It is he who taught her how to carve and use her own bow, as well as how to prepare all kinds of meats. Esmae aided her mother in maintaining their small yet diverse garden. It is she who taught her which plants to eat and which plants she should never touch, as well as how to make a splint using branches and vines.
When Esmae celebrated her twentieth birthday, her parents told her it was time for her to pursue new adventures. She had never been pressured to choose between her mother or father's Seed as they wished for her to pick one for herself, even if it was dissimilar to either of theirs. Having inherited her parents' love and respect for Cerridwen and Cernunnos, and wanting to continue the Mali'ame tradition of commiting oneself to a Seed, Esmae decided she would leave her secluded home and journey to Linandria. Here she may be able to learn from skilled healers and hergologists in order to someday become one herself, and hopefully join her very own Seed. A few weeks later, she had packed her belonging and was prepared for the exciting and daunting journey ahead of her. She embraced her parents, promissing them she would return with knowledge and a new ilmyumier, before heading off into the forest.
