  1. Out-Of-Character Information Please do your best to correct spelling and grammatical errors, this is an RP server and writing is the main form of communication! What’s your Minecraft account name?: Potemkino What timezone are you in?: Eastern Standard Time How old are you?: 19 Are you aware the content and interactions on this server may not be appropriate for children under the age of 13? (You won’t be denied for being under 13): Yep. Have you read and agreed to the rules?: Yes. What’s the rule you agree with the most?: In the Community Conduct Section, Rule 3, the conduct of blatant disregard to the roleplay environment through memes, slang, and modern pop-culture references is the cancer that kills most decent roleplaying servers on Minecraft. Are there any rule(s) that confuse you or don’t make sense? (if so we can help clear it up!): Not at all. How did you find out about Lord of the Craft?: Google Search. Link(s) to past Whitelist Applications (If applicable): N/A. Have you logged into the server yet? (You cannot be whitelisted without logging in at least once): Yessir. Definitions Feel free to Google the answers or browse our forums, but make sure that you write the reply in your own words, not those of another website or person! Plagiarizing will result in the automatic denial of your application! What is roleplaying?: Roleplaying to is the act of changing your persona to become a character that doesn't exist in this world, to role play is then acting out what this persona would do in the scenario it exists in, removing the element of your own interests for developing and pursuing theirs. What is metagaming?: Metagaming is the deliberate spread and use of Out-of-Character information to other characters or your own for in-game purposes. Examples would be the telling of roleplay elements that are unknown by the player character (this character is at x, or they did this) otherwise but spread as if they had already known of the information. What is power-emoting (powergaming)?: Powergaming is to roleplay in such a manner that the other players cannot counteract to the powergaming player. A simple example of this would be in a combat scenario, where a powergamer assumes the action they took goes through by default "I plunge my sword into your chest, killing you immediately" this gives the opposing player no chance to react to the action, and ends the roleplay right then and there. In-Character Information Now you actually make your character - be creative but stay reasonable! Make sure they make sense and that they follow lore. Try to come up with a character that you actually want to play. Character’s name: (what do you want your character to be called?) Roland Bolvir Character’s sex: (male or female?) Male Character’s race: (you can find all the playable races here.) Cavern Dwarf Character’s age: (upon application, your character must be 18 or older, and depending on the race, they can be over five hundred years old!) 40 Biography (Please make it a decent two paragraphs long. Remember to add three references to the server lore): (where does your character come from?; where have they traveled to?; what year were they born in? et cetera.) For a Dwedmar, Roland's life began not too long ago, on the island of Tahn, not far from what one day would become the city of Kal'Nerroth. A bastard birth, her mother died from complications during childbirth, and Roland was ousted by her husband to live with his maternal grandparents, his grandfather, a zealous cleric of Yemekar, and his grandmother, an artisan known for her specialty with all things involving gears. Under this home would Roland grow up in, as both grandparents reared him in their own ways. Under the watch of his grandfather, Roland grew to understand the Brathmordakin and the inner-workings of the Kirkja Verga, growing through his own ways to become a stout follower of Ogradhad after listening to various stories from his grandfather on the Aengul. Encouraged to read by his grandparents, Roland spent endless hours reading books from his grandfather on the gods and their peculiar perks and quirks. From his grandmother, Roland would switch from training the mind to exercising the hands, learning the intricacies of crafting, from handling the coarse forge to the delicate art of machining. Under his grandparents wing, Roland flourished into a fine dwarf, and at reaching adulthood, became a blacksmith at a friend's smithy. He quickly settled into a comfortable life, following a schedule of buying and reading new books at the market, training and working his skills at the smithy, praying daily to Yemekar, drinking at the inn after work, and visiting his grandparents on the weekend. And yet, not all was fine with Roland. Days turned into weeks, weeks into months, months into years, and Roland had not pushed any further than when he started at 18. Suddenly, books became repetitive to him, having either read them three times before or reading the newest one immediately when the merchant visited town. The vivid fires, the intensity of heat that had drawn him to smithing turned dull and mild, no longer finding joy in crafting tools or fixing the armor and tools of grunts in the Legion. Even the faith had turned on him, no longer did he feel Yemekar's blessing on his actions, prayers became repetitive, and he had begun to question if there was such thing as Yemekar after all. It is said that in the most unexpected times, revelation hits us like lightning striking from the sky. Roland's came just as out of the blue as one could imagine, where he was visiting his grandfather at the temple, discussing the dwarven creation story, and how Yemekar created from his forge what would blossom into the Brathmordakin. It was here he was told of the Daemon Belka, otherwise known as the Lady of Passion. Many Dwedmar choose their own ways to satisfy their chosen God, so that they may secure a place alongside the God during the Auction of the Dead, and avoid eternal damnation in Vuur'Dor. Some of Belka's followers included travelers, who went long journeys across Axios to show her their devotion. Here he realized what was wrong, where he had failed Yemekar and his chosen deity Ogradhad. Ogradhad believed that for one to achieve enlightenment, one should travel and seek knowledge wherever it lays, only there could one begin to understand what makes the wheels turn, the iron melt, and life to continue. Roland had understood that he had fallen for becoming complacent, for not seeking out his dreams, and remaining settled in one place. And so after two decades, Roland packed his bags, sold his home, and bid farewell to his parents, because he knew that for whatever mysteries lay outside of the Grand Kingdom of Urguan, it was his destiny to uncover them. Personality Traits: (what are your character's quirks?; habits?; likes and dislikes?) Roland cannot stay still for very long, he constantly fidgets around, and becomes uncomfortable when sitting for extended periods of time without a particular task to do, likewise, Roland finds difficulty in focusing his attention completely on more than one thing at a time, and will space out if asked to do more. Roland constantly carries a journal and pen in his right pocket, as he will write down ideas or thoughts immediately as they come to him. He's never been a fan of dogs, as he was bitten by one in his youth, leading to scars on his stomach and back. Ambitions: (what does your character aspire to be?) To travel to every last one of the Isles of Axios and return with a story to tell, after which, save and start up a proper forge in the Grand Kingdom. Strengths/Talents: (what is your character really, really good at?) Though proficient at smithing and a rather well-read reader, Roland's best skill lies in the art of cooking, having made breakfast, lunch, and dinner for his grandmother (who found herself so immersed in her crafts she had no time to cook) since he was seven years old. As such, Roland knows how to make many different types of dishes, from Orcish Meat Stew to Halfling Blueberry Pie. Weaknesses/Inabilities: (what is a skill that your character needs to work on?) As a result of his grandfather's black-and-white teachings of Yemekar and the Balance, Roland is stubborn to a fault. If told of a grey scenario involving theft Roland will immediately jump to the conclusion that the person was in the wrong for having stolen the item, despite the story being more complex than that. As a result, Roland lives indirectly by an incredibly rigid "Good is good, bad is bad" motto. Appearance: (what does your character look like?; how tall are they?; hair color?; scars?) Roland is a brown-haired, gray-eyed, cave dwarf, with a clean-kept beard that reaches just halfway to his Adam's Apple. He wears a simple blacksmith garb of a brown leather apron, a button up overcoat with the sleeves rolled revealing his work shirt underneath it. Wool pants and fire-resistant shoes are worn on the bottom, both long length to hide the acquired scars he's received over the years from accidents at the forge. He's roughly 3'10", putting him at average height within his shorter cave dwarf siblings. Skin: (please provide us a screenshot of your character’s skin; if you need help, see our screenshot guide here.)
