Definitions What is roleplaying?: Roleplaying is the creative act of taking the part of certain character or thing and pretending you've done and been though everything that that character or thing has done. What is metagaming?: Metagaming is using outside information that is not apart of your roleplaying character's knowledge. What is power-emoting (powergaming)?: Power gaming/emoting is making an interaction one sided by forcing the conclusion or progression of that interaction to their will without giving the other player a chance to act on their behalf. In-Character Information Character’s name: Ugon Character’s sex: Male Character’s race: Half Olog, Half Uruk Character’s age: 34 years old Biography: Born in the Isle of Tahn, Ugon was raised in with his Uruk mother, Rinir. Ugon lived alone with his mother in the tall, mountainous mesa. Before Ugon was born his mother was a traveling merchant who worked with her husband. One day while they were on the road heading towards a village, a small group outcast Olog jumped out and attacked their caravan. Rinir's husband was ripped apart fighting the barbaric beings, leaving her alone against several Olog. They slammed her head against a rock, knocking her out and losing one of her tusks. She awoke in their camp, her life being nothing but their play toy. After several weeks of torture and being taken advantage of, Rinir realized she was pregnant. She didn't tell any of the Olog though, thinking they'd just bash her stomach in with a rock to kill her and the fetus. After many days of thinking on how to escape, she came up with the idea of poisoning them with Death Caps. Her mother was an alchemist, so she grew up learning about different plants and mushrooms. She was sent on her daily scavenging for roots and other plants to make a stew for the Olog, so she picked many Death Caps, hoping it would have an impact on their bodies. Knowing Ologs are dumb and don't have much common sense, she knew her sliding the mushrooms into the stew would be easy. After all of the beasts scoffed up the stew, they grew very tired and passed out near the fire. She knew this was the time to escape. Rinir quietly climbed up the side of the valley, having to bear through the cramps of the baby inside her. In the morning she came across a few Uruk guards who rescued her and took her to San'torr. After a very painful birth, Ugon was born. Ugon grew up without a father or a fatherly figure, so Rinir had to teach him how to wield an ax and bow properly. Ugon always loved to be out in nature, he was constantly outside carving a new weapon or interacting with animals. His mother taught him how to speak Blah properly and a little bit of the common tongue. Ever since Rinir taught Ugon how to use a bow, he hunted. He was able to consistently provide for him and his mother with a fresh supply of meat. Every now and then he would actually hunt with an ax. His mother was completely astonished that he was able to do so with such ease. In Ugon's early adult life, he worked for a local tribe to provide meat and hide. Rinir still lives in the small cottage in the mountains alone, gardening and brewing different types of potions and testing them on the local wildlife. Ugon takes the long journey every week to see his mother and give her food and supplies, and she gives him her latest potions in gratitude. Ugon now a huge, bulking brute that strikes fear into many that walk in his path, though he is not as feral as he looks. Ugon wanders around villages doing tasks that they can't do on their own, like slaying wild beasts or hauling stone and timber. As Ugon wanders, he learns and studies everything he comes across, trying not to be associated with his Olog roots. Personality Traits: Ugon tries his hardest not to be like the Ologs. He loves hunting and nature. He comes across as a brute, but he does have a soft side to him that he tries to hide. Ambitions: He hopes to be the greatest hunter and to take care of his mother. Strengths/Talents: Ugon excels at archery and axemanship. He also has a certain connection with animals. Weaknesses/Inabilities: Ugon isn't very good at social interactions and tries to talk to others, but he just ends up embarrassing himself, so he tries to avoid them over all. He also isn't the smartest, but he works very hard to try to get more knowledgeable. Appearance: Ugon is a huge, hulking being that towers at 9' 10". He has dark greenish blue skin that comes from his mother. Ugon weighs 724 pounds. He also has a long black beard and a long braid down his back.
