  1. It could be argued that Rakothûrz’Ram hadn’t touched the ball more than once the entire game, instead the Goliath could be seen poised for combat at every tip off.

The Power Forward for the Krugs could not be reached for comment, having spent much of his postgame riot cackling maniacally with a bottle of rum in one hand and pipe full of Rex Widow in the other. Go Krugs. . ?

  2. Some communities don’t get as much attention from ET as others do, regardless of Activity. I don’t know the inner workings of the Azdromoth event, nor is this intended as a shot against Elvenesse (Hi Wan!) but plenty of people in the Orc community, myself included, Gripe about how despite consistently beating Elves in activity for who knows how long now they get a world class event and we can’t even get someone around for a hunt.

This basketball event has really put the wind back in my sails and renewed my love of player driven events. Even if it’s just a simulation, Orcs got included, hell! Everyone got included! And who cracked down on it? Right. . .The people dropping the ball. Pun intended.

Tl;dr: Orcs kinda get the shaft from et, so we do a lot of player events to keep our spirits (kek) up. A lot of us really appreciate being included in the basketball trend.

  3. Rakothûrz’Ram hoists a barrel of Kruga Kola over his head, Ramming his fist through one end before dousing himself and the team in the stream of carbonated elf stew.
NEXT TIK TH’MONKZ WIHL NUB KRIMP OUHR FUN, ZHAARA!!! HOZH BALLIN’!

  4. The hulking Ramgoth marches up to the Podium and smooths out his Anti-Techlock Krugs jersey, staring out into the crowd with a placid expression as he steepled his hands across its surface. The Wargoth took in a deep breath, “LET’Z ZKAHIN’ GOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!“

Fans and Haters alike scatter as the man hoists the podium over his head and throws it over the crowd. There is no good sportsmanship, only good sports. The Team Powerhouse will be back after court mandated community service.

  5. When approached for comment as to whether or not he felt his actions contributed to his team's loss tonight, Rakothûrz had this to say:  "I 'ope Yarrow wuhz in th'ztandz, it'z nub'ag hozh victory if th'ladiez duhn't peep!" When Reporters tried to explain to him that not only had his team lost, but assaulting other players was against the rules, he went on to say: "RAARGH!!!"

Rumor has it that The Ramgoth will be conferring with his Shamans for advice on WHAT to sacrifice to WHO in order to sink more half court shots.

  6. Rakothûrz'Ram feels his heartrate skyrocket as he finishes reading the news. The nine foot Wargoth balled up the parchment and made a wild charge for the goal in the Gorkil Gym, dunking the paper wad through the rim and shattering the backboard in the process. "MIRDAUTAS KUR!!!" The frothing mad Ram had heard about players "breaking ankles" before, and he was eager to break a few himself.

  7. Turge’Ram lumbered over to the new post tacked to the Goi’s notice board, reading his Lifemate’s announcement over quietly. “Guhnna need tuwh keep me hontz peeled fohr da wild azhez, huh?”

The former Dominus thumped the board with a chuckle before continuing on with his day.

Briefly explain the lore behind this construct or creature:

The Musin are descended from Ratiki runts left to perish for their perceived lack of use, those that were fortunate enough to survive were unfortunate enough to find a live of scavenging and laboring as slaves to earn their place, and even that didn't save many from sickness and injury. The day came when Musin, larger for a runt, but still half the size of a Ratiki was appointed as Warchief during a time where numbers were few and options fewer.
Using his station, Musin lead a revolt to free his kin.. It was successful, but it came at the cost of his life and many, many of his own. For even after the Musin escaped into the blinding light of the sun, they fell to starvation and other perils of mass exodus. Finally reaching the Ocean, they spent a year building an ark before embarking on their maiden voyage to new lands. They ended up crashing into the eastern coast of Almaris a few years prior to the arrival of the Ratiki in Atlas, where they promptly flipped and repurposed their boat as a home. They would stay here for a few months before being encountered by the one they'd come to call "The Giant" who would nag them into proper hygiene and speaking before finally teaching them how to live the land, many of his stories and teachings would come to form the foundation of Musin culture as we know it today.

If this construct or creature has some form of aesthetic choice, can you describe how they look?

The Musin are creatures of smaller statues, known for nimbleness over strength. The latter of which is reportedly less than even a Halfling! Musin have a fondness for scampering around on their way to collect things for recycling or repurposing, but have a preference for doing so when the sky is cloudy or starlit on account of their race's sensitivity to bright lights. Where the Musin's eyes might fail them, their keen ears have a chance to pick up some of the slack. An injury or wound that a larger race might shrug off or endure long enough to receive proper treatment could very likely be fatal to the small Mousefolk, like their savior Musin, all it can take is once well-placed strike to put an end to a Musin's journey for good. It isn't just a good idea to avoid getting hit, it's the only choice a Musin has.

Aesthetically speaking, my particular Musin, Fritter, has reddish brown fur and beady black eyes. He's quite a big fan of hoarding, his first love being owning things and a close second being space to hold those things! He has a read, patch covered mantle with a fur lined hood and several crudely stitched pockets hidden on the underside of the cloak. When he's not tripping over the ankle-length garment with bare feet, he's fluttering in the wind as he scampers off to find something magnificent to barter with.

if you're gonna complain about a lack of complexity you gotta like...idk....learn to code and help or something man.

11/10 take, "It's the player's fault for being unhappy because they can't code."  In the LotC community specifically it seems like a lot of people are more than happy to go the route of saying "If you don't like it, do something about it." even when that advice isn't applicable to the situation. I can't speak to whether or not Vortex is "finished" in the same sense Minecraft itself is "Finished" but receives regular updates, so I'm open to being corrected, I will however go on with this petty mineman rant as though it weren't for the sake of shilling out the two cents nobody asked for.
We shouldn't be punished for having to suffer through something forced on us well before it was even a decent base. If it sucks this much ass, and the staff team wants to keep it so badly, the right thing to do would have been to go the way of Projekt Red and delay it (or the map transition, since this system seemed to hinge upon the fact that everyone was starting with a blank slate) until it was presentable. They obviously can't pull it now, people being able to go back to the old crafting system or being completely unable to craft for months until they work out something worth sharing would cause a lot of problems my pea brain can't imagine, but is aware might exist for all its' single braincell'd churning.
The real issue here is almost no foresight at all. If a map transition was coming up so soon, what on earth compelled them to try to race and meet the deadline and leave us stuck with this insufferable garbage? It's not any one player's fault for being unable to code, nor is it obligation of anyone who criticizes something that is easily seen as flawed to roll up their sleeves and take on the obligations of a team of people themselves.
It's a clusterfuck because there were a lot of reasons why it couldn't work the way it had to, when it had to. The staff team either ignored these reasons I listed, or acknowledged them full and thought "Well, **** it, they can't do anything about it so we'll just win back the playerbase's favor when it's finished! GO TEAM!"
tl:dr; I took like, ten or so minutes of my life to half-ass something I don't even really feel that fussed about cause it felt rude just to quote Rukio and call them a **** for pulling a Wud. You kinda suck dude, cheers

Briefly explain the lore behind this construct or creature:

Treants are wooden entities with a three-staged lifecycle. During the first of the Treants’ life cycles, it is referred to as a Seedling. As a Seedling, a Treant’s intelligence is almost infantile and they are unable to understand complex concepts or topics. A young Seedling typically grows to its adolescent stage in two to three months, as little as two if the conditions and health of its’ forest are great, Typically, a Seedling will not leave its’ forest at this stage and is driven mostly by instinct, they also return to their slumber tree much more often! Only remaining outside of it for a day at a time. As a seedling, a Treant is highly receptive, and what it encounters or views during this time may set a precedent for its’ behavior for much of its’ Adolescent life.
As an Adolescent, a Seedling is now referred to as a Spriggan! A far cry from its’ younger, clumsier self, A Spriggan is a good deal more dexterous and can stand as tall as eight feet. They can weigh as much to three hundred pounds more than their Juvenile kin, at six hundred pounds compared to the Seedling’s maximum of three hundred. Out of tense situations like combat, A Spriggan might lift as much as a ton to aid in its’ instinctive desire to tend to and protect its’ forest, using this strength to clear debris a Descendant might not be capable of moving on their own. Sometimes, depending on the situation, a Spriggan might manipulate its’ own wooden form in service of staying rooted in place, creating makeshift weaponry from their extremities, and even ensnaring their foes. None of these things can be done or undone very quickly, but they lend a degree of versatility to Spriggans.
A Spriggan takes a lot of time to warm up to Descendants in some cases, one thing in particular that helps being their fascination with the concept of favors, however- one surefire way to warm up a Spriggan is standing in direct sunlight, where it can regenerate and regrow its’ form! This ability plays a part in another instinct of a Spriggan, an aversion to travelling underground.
While a Spriggan is strong and hearty, strong as a Golem in fact! It is not as hearty as one! Having a bit less durability, they make up for this in being a bit more flexible, as well as maintaining sentience and free will.
An axe takes to a Spriggan like an to, well, a tree? Making it the most efficient way to harm one mundanely, a sword is likely to take more damage than the Spriggan if tested against its’ bark, and blunt weapons will bear no fruit at all!
As for magic, pure Voidal energies and Draconic fire will melt away a Spriggan with ease, whereas conjured voidal elements and mundane flames can and will be resisted by their water saturated bark.
Dark magics, though varied, can be assumed to affect a Treant of any stage more than they would affect a regular target. A Treant will behave similarly to any Tree Lord or Fae when around Azhl steel or the anemia that comes with it.
Another weakness of a Treant is blight, wherein the corrupted Spriggan will go mad and harm friend and foe alike, even its’ own forest! A Druid might be capable of healing the mindless, rampaging Treant, but a surefire way to cure it is to kill it. After the blighted Spriggan is slain, it will emerge from its Slumber Tree with no memory of its time spent deranged. Like any other time it dies, it will emerge only with the memories it stored the last time it visited its’ tree. If, however, the deranged Treant should manage to reach its slumber tree in this agitaed state..the Slumber Tree will only ever produce deranged, violent Treants. At this point, only the strongest of blight healing may save the tree from its’ corruption.
Last, but not least, the third life cycle of the Treant! The Ent, however, the lack of prosperity you’d otherwise find in abundance in the Fae Realm stunts the Treants! So they wait and wait forever, only to be met with depression and dissapointment, unable to fulfill the one thing they desire most in the world. In time, their only method of coping is sleeping for longer and longer periods.

If this construct or creature has some form of aesthetic choice, can you describe how they look?

The skin for this character is not yet finished (Or even started for that matter! Commissions take time.) but I imagine like all Treants, Korcith will have thick bark and leafy foliage to compliment the glowing core cluster inside his body. Moss is also very good, mossy bark will be a must have. Maybe a fungus or two.

  18. The only ones affected by the year system changing are humans. Unlike other races’ curses that are a bit irrelevant from time to time, Humans have the unique distinction of being able to play elderly characters more often and without just starting old and having nothing to say for your character’s history. I wouldn’t say aging needs to be any faster (unless someone has it out for humans I guess) but I would say racial curses in general could stand to be a tad more relevant.

  20. I was a bit on the fence about this one until I saw the thing about four emotes until intervening, personally I think that’s fine but it should be specific emotes- not just four nothing emotes and then getting into combat. For example, something like 1. Emoting arrival 2. Emoting observing the situation. 3. Preparing yourself to step in 4. actually stepping in. Obviously not the most effort put into that, but it’d be a good basis for a ‘what to do when ganking’ or whatever.
Also, nothing feels better than being mugged on the street and not having any means of defending yourself, like a 1v3, and two or more strangers who were going their own way show up and are like ‘Oh hey, this dude is getting mugged lets help’. At the same time though..metarallying, I suppose though with this rule you don’t necessarily lose the ability to be rescued by chance, and you more efficiently shut down the meta I guess?
