+1,  these good people deserve a spot next map. Not only am I friends with two people from the Kadarsi OOCLY, even irp when I find myself there they are nothing but friendly and nice people. They deserve a spot as much as anyone who is already getting one does.

We aren’t Irish, we are more themed towards Tribes of Gaul. We aren’t 100% nomadic. I have read their forum post and I like the Gallics, hence why I got inspiration from them. But we are not ripping them off. Yes we have similarities, but there is always similar aspects in a lot of cultures. You may see it that way, but I do not.

Introduction

A group of humble, free-spirited people consisting of travelers, vagabonds and farmers. They are ones to adjust to their surroundings, but have tendency to move around from place to place.

History

They do not have a true identity to one of the human subraces (i.e Highlander or Heartlander) due to them moving around so much they have accumulated many kinds of people, however throughout the years of being on Atlas, they have stayed close together with their fellow clansfolk.

Hierarchy

-=Chief=-

The Chief is without a doubt the highest respected position in the clan. They are responsible for inducting new clansfolk, keeping the Clansgarde’s morale high and to maintain the peace within the clan and outside of the clan.

The Clansgarde are the loose militia formed by the chief to help protect the Clansfolk. It is a highly respected to position to serve in the Clansgarde.

Those without a special position (farmer, merchant, hunter) or do not serve in the Clansgarde are simply known as Clansfolk.

Culture

Hartgarde’s live by a simple code of values. Those who cannot follow this simple code will be cast out of the clan with judgement made by their peers and Chief.

Family: Respect your fellow Clansfolk as if they were your family.

Fidelity: Remain true to the faith and respect those of different faiths.

Humility: Stay true to living a humble lifestyle.

Pride: Take pride in being a Hartgarde, do not let anyone make you question your own being.

Art

Sadly Hartgarde’s are not excellent artists, but they do however write their history down with excellent stories of their travels, people they have interacted with and with. They may not be good illustrative artists but with their words can fill many paintings.

Festivities

Hartgarde’s love to celebrate good hunts, harvests, new Clansfolk and marriages.

Hunt Festivals: Usually when a great beast is slain or many animals are brought back from a hunt it is common to present them to the Chief/Chieftess and then feast on the largest animal killed.

Harvest Festivals: When GOD blesses Hartgarde farmers with a great harvest, they are to be turned into great foods and desserts! Once they are prepared and brought out all Clansfolk from youngest to eldest pick out their desserts to feast on.

New Clansfolk Ceremonies: Whenever there is a new Clansfolk entering the clan or one is born into it, it is always a time for celebration! All the Clansfolk including the Chief are present to welcome a new member to the clan with open arms.

Marriages: When a Clansman is married it is customary to invite the Chief, his/her family and all the Clansfolk nearby. All invitees are to bring presents to the wedding and hand them to the betrothed after they have completed their ceremony.

Language

Common but with varying accents.

Faith

Hartgarde’s are typically Canonists, but they accept Clansfolk of other human religions and beliefs. The Chief of the clan cannot enforce his/her beliefs on Clansfolk of other religious beliefs. All Clansfolk are to live in harmony with one another.

Describe your knowledge on the descendant races

Humans: By far the largest group on LoTC. With a few sub-races spread throughout the world of Atlas, with Heartlanders, Highlanders, Adunian and Farfolk. Since they only live up to about 150 years old, humans are the race that create and spread out into vastly unique and different cultures and civilizations. The sub-races will go and create their own kingdoms and carry on distinct beliefs and rules systems within their territory   

Elves: One of the larger groups of players on LoTC, will span three main sub-races plus one additional sub-race.Those being Wood Elves, High Elves, Dark Elves and Snow Elves. Although the Elves hold vast differences from one another, they all share certain aspects that overlap. Elves have much longer lifespan than any other race, sometimes they will get up to be 1000 years old. The sub-races have different beliefs that further within their communities. 

Dwarves: A smaller group of players on LoTC, they build magnificent cities within the mountains. They are cursed with greed but blessed with strength. Dwarves are renown blacksmiths and are able to live for quite a long time.The dwarves have three distinct sub-races: cave, forest and mountain. What I have seen and experience is that Mountain Dwarves seem to be the most popular. 

Orcs: Come in several colors: blue, red and green. Occasionally come with tusks. I will admit I do not know too much about the Orcs, but I know they are quite brutish, speak in a barely recognizable form of common, but some have been able to understand it. 

Describe your knowledge on other pieces of lore that you believe to be relevant

I believe that racial lore be a very relevant and vital to LoTC. 

It is important because it sets ways for each playerbase on how to interact with one another. Yes it leads to some “racial tensions”, but it still gives the server and the players good roleplay experiences.

Detail what drives you to become a member of the application team

 What drives me most is, I have always wanted to help new players get onto the server and help them in anyway possible! 

I love this server and want to help see the playerbase grow more and more. If I could ever be given the chance to help that process, I will do what I must to help those new players. 

Provide an alternate way to assisting new players apart from reviewing applications

I believe the best start is to hang around the Wandering Soul Chat. Never make yourself unavailable to answer questions and guiding the new players. Or even the returning players. Help players through the process of joining the server and always give them a nice welcoming attitude. Provide new players with a variety of lore posts that will help with the making of their character so that they can get a better understanding of the LoTC universe. 

Offer tours around the playerbase racial capitals, or just offer them quick roleplay interactions so they can get the gist of things. These roleplay interactions can really help a player get involved if they do not have much experience of roleplaying.

Survey the application process and provide any possible improvements which could be made

As I have observed over my time playing on LoTC is that new players seem to struggle quite a bit with getting in the groove of roleplay. I surely had a hard time. Starting with a large server with vast amounts of cities is quite difficult and daunting for new players. They usually just need a little help integrating into LoTC’s RP community. This is something I really want to help with. I would make sure I would make myself available to new players who join and get them started in the RP Hub and a welcoming and great first time.

Provide any additional information that you believe is needed

On The Hope of Man

We are told as Arthas has written, that men and women of the All Father will have our Salvation. Our doom will come, but then a man born of human flesh blessed by the Dawnlord will come to us. He will ignite the pyre of the mortal soul. But what could this mean? A man of who we do not know will eventually come to us after all is lost and save us all? We do not know. It is for the Dawnlord to deliver him to us. What we do know is that we must remain faithful to the scrolls, to each other and to the faith. Until this blessed man comes to us folk, all we must do is hope. The ever looming darkness comes closer every day, as a devout man of the one true faith, all I can do is remain loyal to it. When our final days are here, all we can do is pray and hope for this man to ignite our pyres. As an all Fatherist, we shall not let the Flame within us to burn out, unless the All Father deems it so. Therefore remain hopeful my brothers and sisters. No matter what happens, the Flame of Man will never burn out. Yes, I have been moderator on a roleplay server, sadly it shut down due to lack of funds. However we had a nice community which I had the delight of moderating. My specific job was to help new players get situated and integrate them into the community, but if there was cheating, metagaming, powergaming, I was one of the moderators to be there to deal with it.

Why do you want to join the GM Team?:

I very much enjoy helping others in any possible way that I can. I feel like I could further help others by being  apart of the Game Moderation Team. I could see my passion for this server grow if I were apart of the GM Team. I would be more than willing, happy, and passionate to help players with whatever they need! I have experience plenty of toxic people on this server first hand (will not name names) and it saddens me to see that those kind of players are allowed to act that certain way to others on this server. I want to help create a better roleplaying experience for everyone, especially new players so that they feel welcomed to this amazing server. Biography:

Job: none (wishes to become a blacksmith) 

(Born in the Northern lands of Ceru into a family of blacksmiths. When he was a teenager his father was called to fight for the Chief's band of warriors to defend the clan. While defending his mother received word of his father's death and as of the Chief's. His mother went to the boy and told him to run, run as fast as he can. The boy did as his mother told him to do. He ran to the top of the farthest hill away from clan's village, all he saw was smoke, thick black smoke raising from where his village once stood. He started crying knowing his family was dead. He slowly turned around and began to start running once again. He reached a small harbor where one ship lay waiting. He approached the ship and climbed inside and picked up the oars and began to row, and row he did. For many nights would come to pass before he would see land again. Once he arrived on a new beach of a new land, he rolled off the boat, exhausted and starved passed out. He awoke in a village, in someone's home, well rested and fed. His rescuer, emerged from the other room and greeted him as the Chief of the village. Once the conversation ended, the boy went to explore the village and found it peaceful and decided to stay here and become a member of a new clan. He started a new life in this village and begin a new chapter in his life.)

Personality traits: humble to others; tries to get along with others; is an excellent craftsman, but is too humble to show off his skills and quite fraternal.

Ambitions: He aspires to be one of the best blacksmith of the land and once he acquires the title of blacksmith he wishes to teach others of his skills.
