What is roleplaying?: Roleplaying is the action of playing a character in a different setting than reality.
What is metagaming?: Metagaming is using out of character information in roleplay scenes. (Info your character doesn't know or has no knowledge of)
What is power-emoting (powergaming)?: Powergaming is basically when a person decides to take over a situation with the way they want the outcome to be. (Not allowing the other person on the other end to decide or help decide what actually happens).
In-Character Information Now you actually make your character - be creative but stay reasonable! Make sure they make sense and that they follow lore. Try to come up with a character that you actually want to play.

Biography (Please make it a decent two paragraphs long. Remember to add three references to the server lore): (where does your character come from?; where have they traveled to?; what year were they born in? et cetera.) My character was born and raised in the Holy Orenian Empire. (Born in 1606) So therefore he followed the Heartlanders culture. He has always been inside the walls of his home. As a child he was always told he wasn't supposed to leave the city. He was also told that out beyond the cities limits were viscous, man eating beasts ready to strike at anything that comes their way. Then obviously, as he grew older he got more and more curious about what was beyond the wall. As he took his morning walks every morning, he always heard whispers and rumors about The Forests Of Adrallan. So, as he was a curious person he decided he'd prepare for a trip... (A few months later) He set out. Towards the rumored Forests of Adrallan. He heard they were quite silent. Though, something lay within. Upon arrival, he was startled by the numerous amounts of skeletal bodies all around the forest. He decided that maybe he was better off in the cities, but the curiosity contentiously boils within his blood. He had always been fascinated with Voidal Magic. So he decided to seek out a teacher and find someone to help him out with learning the art of magic. To this day, he still insists on going and exploring the Forest of Adrallan.
Personality Traits: (what are your character's quirks?; habits?; likes and dislikes?) His traits are; very curious, determined, and everything in between. He cares a lot about family, and he isn't very good at communication with royalty. Or people he's attracted to for that matter.
Ambitions: (what does your character aspire to be?) My character aspires to be something meaningful and something to be remembered when he dies. He'd like to die doing something semi-heroic. Though he needs to put himself out there if he wants to get anywhere.
Strengths/Talents: (what is your character really, really good at?) My character really enjoys working on his home. It always needs to be clean and spiffy.
Weaknesses/Inabilities: (what is a skill that your character needs to work on?) My character needs to work on confidence and taking that step forward.
Appearance: (what does your character look like?; how tall are they?; hair color?; scars?) My character has brown, smooth, silky hair. With brown eyes and a clean face. He's 5'10 and quite in shape. He's never seen battle, so no scars or anything physically, anyways. Though emotionally... That's a different story.
