Please take your time and make it a decent paragraph long. Dylan was born to a small family in just about the middle of nowhere. His mother and father were loving and caring. His siblings Paige and Donald were also sweet and loving. Dylan's family was just wonderful. Even though the Distel family was poor and rarely left the homestead to do things in the nearest town, somehow they always had fresh food. It took Dylan a long time to realize that his father had made a deal with their neighbor, who owned a sizable farm that he would work in return for fresh food. Dylan had never realized that his father would be gone for hours and hours and come back with large amounts of fresh produce. On Dylan's 10th birthday his father got his favorite food.... Maple cakes. What are maple cakes you ask? Maple cakes are amazingly sweet pieces of cake that his father would go to town and barter for with the little amount of supplies they had. Dylan would get them almost every year on his birthday. The following year Dylan went for a stroll in the area near his home and found an injured bird, Dylan felt so overwhelmed with sadness and compassion for this poor creature. Dylan picked up the poor injured creature and brought him home. Dylan's father said "It would be best to put the poor thing down" Dylan, for the first time in his life felt rage towards the world he had to live in, a place where poor animals who deserve nothing but happiness are doomed to this horrific thing we call death. For a long time Dylan had a very bleak view of the world, his sadness seemed to be never ending and eventually on his 17th birthday, somehow his father afforded a dog for Dylan, Dylan's heart was warm and loving again and he named the dog "Chan". Dylan and Chan were best friends from the start, they would play outside, eat together and even take naps together. Dylan and Chan did almost everything together. Because of Chan Dylan learned somethings about himself, one that he loved animals, and two that if he was to see someone hurting an animal other then for survival, he would hate them with a passion. Dylan had become very self reliant over the years and was considering leaving home and becoming his own man. Unfortunately before Dylan could even prepare, his mother became extremely ill. Dylan cared for her until she passed. After Dylan's mother was put to rest Dylan saw it was time to go and leave the painful memories of his mother. Dylan traveled for months going from place to place trying to find a home, and he succeeded. Dylan found himself in a the settlement of Duchy of Ruska, which was far north of his childhood home. Dylan met a man named Jeffery who owned a local bakery. Jeffery and Dylan would chat for hours on end every day. Over the time they spent talking to each other they grew a bond. within a year they trusted each other to the point where Jefferey even allowed Dylan to sleep in his home above the bakery. Jefferey even taught Dylan how to bake break and make cakes. Jefferey would tell stories of The Phoenix Revolution and other historical facts to pass the time. Eventually Jefferey passed away and his family took ownership of his property and kicked Dylan out. Dylan has been wandering, looking for a home ever since Personality Traits: (what are your character's quirks?; habits?; likes and dislikes?) Dylan tends to fiddle with his shirt buttons when stressed. Loves animals, and cant stand people who harm animals needlessly. Dylan has a tempter espessially when his mother who passed away is brought up in an argument. Ambitions: (what does your character aspire to be?) Dylan simply wants a home to call his own and possibly start a family and perhaps become a regular at a local restaraunt. Strengths/Talents: (what is your character really, really good at?) Dylan is a large, stocky man and is very strong. He can make very good butter bread and maple cakes. Weaknesses/Inabilities: (what is a skill that your character needs to work on?) Dylan can be easily aggitated depending on his mood. Dylan is not very handsome in his own eyes and is very self conscious, that is one of the reasons he loves animals so much, they care for you unconditionally Appearance: (what does your character look like?; how tall are they?; hair color?; scars?) Dylan comes from the heart of Oren lands with his family. His father was a well known thief, and was good at it as well. His mother was almost always home watching his little brother and sister, Donald and Paige. His parents were very loving and almost always supported him in his endeavors. At about the age of 12 his personal life started to fall apart. His father was drinking and coming home more and more belligerent. His mother on the other hand became more and more gentle. That didn't help his mother. His father would enter the home and scream at her. She would defend herself and in return was beaten in front of the children. As you can imagine that would be quite traumatizing. But when his father wasn't drunk, he would steal thinks from the local noble families and give it to them as gifts for the terrible things he has done. Dylan's mother on the other hand seemed to give up on life, she turned from this lively, loving woman to a shell of who she once was. Years of thievery finally caught up with his father, and in turn, his family. One day Dylan sat in the families meager home, eating a simple meal of stale bread and butter, thats when the soldiers came... They didn't even bother to knock, they simply burst in and started grabbing Dylan's family. With Dylan being only 17 at the time he had two choices, defend his family knowing they would all be slaughtered, or run and hope to survive with a sad and dismal life. Dylan made the cowardly decision and ran for his life. This decision haunts him to this day. He ran for months, surviving where he could, staying with those generous enough to let him stay with them. When he turned 18 he was still wandering from place to place, looking for a place to call home for the night when he came across an elderly inn keeper. The two of them talked for hours until the inn keeper told him to take a bed for the night. Dylan had nightmares that night of the day that the soldiers come to his home. Dylan woke up to fresh bread and a glass of a sweet tasting liquid he could not name trying to shake off the nightmare. After a small amount of time the inn keeper and Dylan shared names. The inn keeper said his name was James and Dylan told his. James and Dylan became amazing friends until his death at the age of 72, while Dylan was 20. Dylan was on his own again looking for a place to settle down and make a life. He hopes to find a home and make up for his cowardice from that faithful night. Personality Traits: (what are your character's quirks?; habits?; likes and dislikes?) Dylan Corso Loves animals to no end. He hates it when someone brings up his mother which is a sore spot for him. Ambitions: (what does your character aspire to be?) Dylan Simply hopes to make his mother proud by being a good person and showing restraint when challenged. Strengths/Talents: (what is your character really, really good at?) Dylan, while always attempting to help others, is an amazing fighter(taught to himself while living on the streets). While he would not injure an innocent person, he would give his life any day any day if it meant making his mother proud. Weaknesses/Inabilities: (what is a skill that your character needs to work on?)Dylan is extremely angered when someone brings his mother into the situation. He also can go into a psychotic rage when triggered by remembering traumatic experiences Appearance: (what does your character look like?; how tall are they?; hair color?; scars?)Dylan has brown hair, blue eyes, has a stocky build and is roughly 6 feet tall.
