Your character has just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As they look around, their gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. They duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? She begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.” ((How do you respond?)) Cadwell takes a seat as he ganders around the inside of the tent, he accidently gets a strong whiff of the rotting smells around him as he inhales causing him to cough once in his closed fist. "Ugh-... Terribly sorry, I uh-" Cadwell directs his attention to the hag, he attempts to fake a smile as he takes a seat. "You can call me Cadwell, I was a forge-hand of sorts, I assisted the blacksmith of my hometown with her orders, she... didn't see much potential in me, every time she gave me a chance to prove myself I... came up short, so far..." Cadwell takes out a small leather satchel, within is a collection of three fine smith-working tools that seem either broken, poorly made or otherwise useless. "I took the job as a learning opportunity to develop a skillset of my own in tinkering with finer works." Cadwell presents one of the tools, the shoddy craftsmanship is on full display as he attempts to twist a small crank, it's unclear what it was intended to do as all that seems to come of the motion is the tool clicking for a moment before breaking apart into many pieces within Cadwell's hands. "As you can see I have a long way to go... But I'm resolute! I shall achieve great works in my future, of this I have no doubt in my mind. Blacksmithing will give me a strong foundation to start off with, than onto finer works... I just have find the right masters is all, prove to them that I am worth teaching, that I can do great things with greater knowledge!"

In-Character Information Now you actually make your character - be creative but stay reasonable! Make sure they make sense and that they follow lore. Try to come up with a character that you actually want to play. Character’s name: Tel'dores Derolith-Adric-Alryn Pelicoth II Character’s sex: Male Character’s race: High Elf Character’s age: 73 years of age Biography (This is one of the most important sections of the application. Please take your time and make it a decent paragraph long. Read up on your character's race and be sure to add at least one accurate reference from the server lore): Tel'dor was raised in the High Elven capital of Taliyna'maehr by his mother and father who were lucky enough to give birth to a son, knowing this was going to be the only child they would had, they passed on the names of each forefather onto their single child starting with the oldest known forefather 'Tel'dores'. Even though the Pelicoth family never became anything of major importance to history, every child of the Pelicoth family cherished and respected their fathers as one of the most important people they would ever meet. Tel'dor spent most of his growing years helping his father with his work as a stonemason, performing duties such as shaping simple tools while his father worked on more advanced constructs such as beautiful gems cased in polished stone. As Tel'dor got older he became increasingly interested in the arcane art, it started when he met with an old human sage who spent some time in Taliyna'maehr when Tel'dor was in his 20's. The old man simply spent his time attempting to find certain items, one day the man arrived at house of Pelicoth where Tel'dor spoke with the man for the first time, the old man talked about the items that he required and asked if Tel'dor owned any such items, before answering the man's question, Tel'dor asked the man what he needed them for. The old man explained that he was planing to construct a creature of rock that would assist him with his research into the arcane arts, though Tel'dor had known about such arts beforehand he was never really interested in it as he expected to spend his life learning to be a stonemason, however this was not what he wanted to become. After some time of back and forth chatter, Tel'dor began to gain interest in the art of arcane magic, when the man left it wasn't long before Tel'dor started researching the subject at a nearby library. When Tel'dor was around his 50's his parents moved away while Tel'dor stayed behind and spends roughly 20 years of his adulthood studying the subject of arcane magic and though he has yet to make a connection to the void or gain any real power, he comes to the conclusion that he must expand his knowledge elsewhere than just spending his time in a public library and that's where his story begins. Personality Traits: - Tel'dor enjoys the company of others, provided they are good civil people. Though he doesn't hate them, those with less than pleasant smells or clothing would have a more difficult time getting along with Tel'dor. - When around those he enjoys the company of, Tel'dor generally chooses to show off, weather it be with his research or any newly found power he has obtained. - Though he doesn't mean any offence, Tel'dor speaks his mind which generally doesn't go well when meeting new people, he may comment on a physical trait or a type of disability one has. - Tel'dor is patient and slow to anger, though should he be angered, Tel'dor wouldn't raise his voice or throw any punches but rather (Depending on the situation) ask those who angered him to leave or he may do so himself depending on where he his, he would then meditate on the recent event before most likely forgiving those who angered him (Depending on the event). - Tel'dor respects his family and due to this would generally use his full name when greeting someone or signing something. Though in general conversation he would use his shortened name "Tel'dor". - Tel'dor appreciates quality apparel and makes it clear when greeting those in said clothing, should he ever purchase clothing he would give strict instructions on how his apparel should look. Ambitions: Tel'dor wishes to gain knowledge in the art of arcane magic, particularly Alteration and Golemancy, he doesn't wish to use these powers for good or evil but to simply experiment and research over time, even if his studies come to nothing he would die happy if he spent his life in research and study in magic. Strengths/Talents: Tel'dor comes from an intelligent line of Elves, like most High Elves. He spent most of his time in study even before he met with the old sage and thus grow a sharp mind. He's ambitious and dedicated to his goals and wouldn't change his life's path easily. Weaknesses/Inabilities: Due to his extended time reading literature in public libraries he spent little time gaining physical strength and thus is a very poor fighter and fails to use many weapons effectively, forced in a fight he may use a dagger or short sword as it is the lightest among martial weapons. As well as poor strength, Tel'dor never truly learnt how to speak with someone properly and thus speaks his mind which in most cases comes off as offensive and rude. Appearance: Tel'dor stands at roughly 6 foot and 1 inch, he has white hair and blue eyes and weighs roughly 130 lbs. Skin: Additional Notes: I'm not sure if I am able to do this but I wanted to clear something up. I am aware that to use magic I have to find a teacher and make an application, I just want you guys to know that my character has no magic yet what so ever, he hasn't made the connection to the void and he hasn't gained any magic power during his time researching about it. He simply looked it up and got started on the right track, he knows of arcane magic but not how to use it. For a little while I will get the hang of the game before truly beginning to pursue magic with my character. Thank you for your time!
