Darius Wilmon was born and raised in the city of Santegia and he has lived there all his life until he begins his travels. His two older brothers fight in the Santegian forces but his mother forbade him from doing so. His mother was very strict and mean to Darius, but she was kind to his older brothers. He was always teased by the other kids for not being a warrior and living up to the Wilmon name, even though he wanted to. He was raised to believe humans are the best race, especially heartlanders. Darius worked as a servant for many families and befriended an old lady named Helga who he served. Helga told Darius stories about his father, who he never knew. After his mother's previous husband and father to the two older sons died in battle she got together with a highlander. He didn't want to settle down with her in Santegia, since as a natural highlander he loved travel, and Santegia was only a stop in his journey. Darius's mother was not aware she was pregnant at the time, and when she had the baby she did not want it but nobody else would take him as he was of highlander blood. This child was indeed Darius, and his mother has taken his birth out on him and made his life as miserable as possible. She stopped letting him sleep in the house, so he stayed at Helga's, who became his true mother figure. Helga recently passed away, so Darius has decided it is time to leave Santegia and carve his own path in the world, and maybe meet his father.
