Oskar was born in in the Kingdom of Norland to a Highlander family in 1632. His father Övid was killed after falling off a steep ridge during a hunt only roughly year after he was born, prompting Alva, his mother, to migrate Hanseti-Ruska where they eventually settled in the Barony of Westerlake. However, tragedy struck again when his mother was struck with an extreme case of typhus, which ultimately led to her death when Oskar was only seven. Things quickly went in a downward spiral, ending up on the streets for a few years as a mere child. As he grew up, his lack of a family caused him to become a troublemaker, and he was only narrowly saved from spending prison time for theft when he came under the protection of Baron Woodreave III. Through his protection, he progressively gained a warrior-esque attitude that shaped him into a more hardened and morally driven man, and he later converted to Canonism. He fled with the Baron's son Daniel Woodreave IV north to Renatus-Marna in the village of Judeberg where he is currently settled as of 1656.
