Over the time that the Dark Elves had been sent to the Isle of Ceru by Malin, newborns were brought into the world all under the surface, and all under the moon. Among those newborns was a Dark Elf named Qivus Baras, son of Meviel and Sovoni Baras. As most children in the Elven cultures are, he was praised as a child and received many blessings to continue the generations of the outcast elves. His father Meviel was a swordsman who aided the scholars as they searched for deities of great power as Malin requested. Meviel had fallen for the scholar Sovoni while on their travels, and in many cases Meviel saved Sovoni's life from the worlds dangers, in turn had caused Sovoni to fall for him, which resulted in a lasting relationship. However after the race was caused to go mad, the two had no sense of love for each other anymore, and instead bitter hatred. This lasted even after landing on Ceru, after gaining sanity, they felt no connection to each other, however Sovoni was pregnant which created a permanent bond between the two elves. Being born beneath the surface, Qivus had no sense of the above world so his mother educated him, while his father taught him the way of the sword. His skills in swordsmanship progressed fiercely, impressing his father, and during the time of Azul, impressing the Vindicators where he was trained to become one of the elite soldiers. He killed many of his brethren, which frustrated himself, but tried not to let the fact get to him, as they betrayed not just the sanity, but themselves. However Qivus did not avoid losses, as the war had taken the life of both parents, leaving his own fate to his hands. This troubled event caused sadness in his heart, and anger, however he found no answer to quench his feelings. After the insane cultists were rooted out and the conclave which decided the future fate of the Dark Elves, Qivus felt no desire to follow his brethren, but rather follow his own path. This however did not last too long after he heard of the fate of his people, the enslavement, providing a solution to his emotions. He caught a swift sail to the land of Aegis where he proceeded to save his people, starting off with small raids on the Mori'Quessir, too more organized raids on the cavern people, backed by the slaves he saved. However with word of the raids, the Mori'Quessir became more defensive, causing Qivus to look towards the Wardens for aid. The Wardens did not supply any troops to Qivus but rather better equipment, which Qivus was grateful for however still expected more from his brethren. After a few more successful raids, the casualties started to become more great through each raid, and after a close call with death, Qivus figured that no more could be done without further aid. He then proceeded to abandon his ambitions of freeing his people, as many of the ones he freed shared his ambitions, continuing his cause. He and other followers than heard of their brethren heading to Athera, in which Qivus decided to follow. Despite his skills in combat and commanding others, During the civil war in Anni'Sul Qivus decided to stay nuetral and follow Dak'ir's leadership, this was mainly due to his past thoughts on Elf on Elf violence, which simply bothered him and seemed unjust. This continued to the continent of Axios where Qivus settled down in Ker'Nor, although many of his followers separated paths, here Qivus continued to live his life, picking-up the art of sword craft when unable to sword play. After well lived years in Ker'Nor, a past follower from his raids had caught up to him. His past follower had become a seafaring man, very keen on exploring and making discoveries. He then invited Qivus to join him on a expedition, in which Qivus did accept as although he does enjoy a simple life, he much prefer to travel as he has been doing for the majority of his life. The morning they set sail was a smooth one with the feel of the sea breeze easing the skin of all the sailors, leading to a very restful night, however it was too restful. While asleep, a current seemed to have steered the boat to what appeared to be a overgrown island. The captain of this ship being embarrassed of his mishap of lost navigation, insisted to Qivus's follower that perhaps this land could hold the discovery that he seeks, all in hope that his mistake would be covered. They then took rowboats to the shores, where they found the beauty of what appeared untouched, however through travels throughout the land they found ruins resembling those of elven kind, which intrigued Qivus and his follower. Upon entering one such ruin, it reminded Qivus of the story that his mother once told him of entering an old rusted palace, bringing her and the other scholars misfortune. However while lost in the thought, he lost the sites of his follower. Qivus left the ruins back to the entrance expecting to find them, however he could not be found. He then returned to the shore, only to find the ship and what supplies they had to be gone.... leaving Qivus to find his own way like he did once before.
