Greta Thorne was the firstborn child in her family, in a small cottage outside the city of Presa de Madera. The first few years of her life was filled with life and love and music. Greta's mother taught her to play the flute at a very young age, and she had a promising future. Then tragedy struck. When Greta was five years old, her mother became pregnant, but the child arrived too early, and Greta's mother died during birth. The premature baby didn't survive, either. Greta was now motherless, and her father grew bitter and cold. Greta inherited her late mother's flute, and never stopped playing it. She had to be careful about when she played, because her father's love for music disappeared. He turned to the taverns to try and drink away the pain. Young Greta felt the pain he was so desperately trying to get rid of when he occasionally came home in a drunken rage, or when he heard her playing the flute. The happy life she was used to would never be the same again. Greta became very independent, from this. She was also skilled at sneaking around and staying quiet and hidden, from hoping that her father wouldn't hear her. Her petite stature helps give her the ability to hide in small places, and she can run very fast. She ran away from her father a few months ago, and now travels through the city, playing her flute, looking for a permanent life.
