new skin, and my new understanding of power emoting is not phrasing my character's actions as attempts, phrasing them as absolutes, this is bad. say I want to steal something out of someone's pocket I should phrase it as "I attempt to steal the ring off of NAME" instead of "I steal the ring from NAME without them noticing". the truth is their character does have a chance to notice. this is going to be the story of my character dipping into magic he won't start with it.
