The Mahrey family is a long line of tailors and designers, and as such, Nymir was brought up with a sword in one hand and a sewing needle in the other. Although he was raised to master the art of dueling, Nymir feels most at home in his workshop. In fact, it's been considered troublesome how much he stays holed up in with work. He had once, as a child, expressed interest in a family of his own. Growing up, he had been exceptionally fond of the concept of raising a child. However, he's not particularly....inclined to procreate. He has little interest in women and has expressed so in the private confines of his home. There's great pressure on him to sire and raise an heir, especially that he only has a few hundred years to be able to do so. Many with the Mahrey name express him to be a failure, a lost cause. As such, he was cast from their small home in Ker'Nor, and will only be accepted upon returning with a wife. It is unlikely he will ever return. Nymir himself is...incredibly vain. He takes great effort to be on the forefront of fashion, and often dotes over others who dress less than ideally. The pressure and demanding ways of his household have clearly passed onto him, as he tends to be shrewd and hyper-critical. This criticism is largely reflected onto himself, however. He is, despite his abrasive demeanor, a rather doting friend and is heavily parental. He often hand-tailors clothing and accessories for his friends and is a known fusser over anything even moderately concerning. Nymir is a skilled tailor and prides himself in his work, deciding it one of his favorite past-times and a suitable way to make an income. He has a great appreciation for leatherwork and embroidery. He is, however, his worst critic, and is known to waste money on fancy materials he'll likely never use.
