His whole life long, Adam dreamed of being a Grand Architect of the Crown, building marvels of strength and style for the Kingdom of Santegia. From a very young age, he showed skill and creativity in the craft, and spent much of his time in the wheat fields of Presa de Madera (the Santegian capital) as a boy building things using mud, clay and sticks. In 1663, at the age of 12, his parents, seeing Adam’s adeptness with the art quickly developing in him, wisely sent him to study as an apprentice builder under the Grand Architect of Renatus-Marna so that he could hone his skills and perhaps someday make a life for himself. Adam spent much of his teen years struggling to refine his techniques and prove himself to be a young man with a solid work ethic and ingenuity. Though the work was often laborious and mentally taxing, Adam was nothing if not persistent and stubborn-- often spending hours on a single task to ensure its perfection. During those years in Sennisten, (the capital of the Renatus-Marna) he was never short of opportunities to prove himself, as the Crown under King Aurelius Horen, found itself in years of constant warfare, the result of which was a hoard of conquered settlements which needed his skill to be rebuilt. And thus-- through his dedicated toiling to produce work of high-quality craftmanship, partnered with his unwavering passion to his dream-- Adam eventually earned the rank of master builder, and with it a reputation of being a man of accomplished talent. As such, in the year 1669, (having reached the age of 18) he found himself now truly beginning his life journey, as he set off to return to his homeland and family with the hopes of proving himself worthy to build masterpieces of engineering for new King of Santegia-- Achilius Horen.
