This is like putting a bandaid on a broken bone, and more changes will be needed to deal with the villain/bandit problem, but it’s a start.

    “problem”

Let me pull up something from the rules which you had to read from day one buddy

    ●     Please keep in mind that roleplay is a double-edged sword. You are expected both to provide interactive roleplay in situations that are unfavorable to others and in situations that are unfavorable for you or your character for the good of the game.

Is banditing perfect on lotc? No, it has it’s flaws just like how every group has it’s bad apples. However, as someone who’s never gotten a single VB for poor villainy, It amazes me to see the fine blend of both narcissism and inferiority victim complex I see from some on the server. The amount of salt I see from people who can’t accept their character got outroleplayed and put into an unfavorable situation never fails to make me laugh, especially when they call for a GM and the GM ends up not making the verdict they want.

  2. I was a complete noob when I started as well. Players like you shunned me away, which is why I quit the Empire back in Axios. Other players took me under their wing and made me a much better roleplayer and which is why I’ve stayed to this day.

Funny how much being nice to someone who could be on their first serious rp server could go a long way huh

  3. Application

    Name: Connor

    Race: Human

    Age: 30

    Desired role: Scrivener, Contractor, Hunter

Reason for enlistment: Connor knows many of the Ursus folks personally and attended hunts with them as a non-member. He would now like to officially join.

Why did you retire PvP? The only reason I retired the same lifestyle was because I can’t PvP any longer without getting a simultaneous tendinitis and carpal tunnel attack in 30 minutes

Because raiding got really boring and wasn’t worth it anymore. I still PvP outside of LOTC but the toxicity, meta-stalling, and whining from the receiving ends of the raided convinced me to “retire”

What would you say was your favourite villainy moment?

    Also hello!

    Wow, I have too many.

RP Wise – Capturing important figures and holding them for ransom. Also having a Bandit Watch System put in the Imperial City due to your actions is pretty hilarious too.

PvP Wise – Beating the Imperial Legion in a 5v20, Beating the Mournstones in a 4v10.

  5. Hello

    *sarcasm begins*

I’m Dqnn, I like to bandit and collect delicious pixel items. I hate all imperials and especially those dang dirty erping elves.

    *sarcasm ends*

Jokes aside, I was a “villain” of the server for quite a while now. I’ve been a mercenary, bandit, rebel, and other “anti-empire” activities. Many call me a pvp goon, but I feel like this side of the server doesn’t get that much representation as we are hardly active on the forums, but not all of us are toxic mind you. Someone always needs to play the bad guy, right? As of right now I’ve sort of retired. I don’t pvp as I use to and I am actually trying to get back into RP and being part of a nation n ****.

If ya’ll have questions about anything really (what I do now on the server, what my first rp “role” was, how I got into villainy, how I avoid a VB, or anything else.) Feel free to ask away. Just remember to be civil kiddos.

Not a whole lot of lore written for these, and the whole thing is p vague. Also we already have Sirens, so -1

    No we do not

Although, Sirens might be a tad’ overpowered with their song magic and all....

  7. I remember when I first met you on the server lal, was coming back from a hiatus and you tried to bandit my ass, so I hopped into Brawm disc and asked who the **** is this Vtyx ******.

Sad to see a good gamer leave. But like others said, think of a break from Lord of the Craft as a blessing in disguise. No matter what others say, we’ve left our mark on the server bro. The golden age of banditing and raiding may be over but there will always be new things in the future ? . Enjoy life.

  8. Hard to grow a community when the retention rate is so god damn low for the following reasons

    - They get triggered because we say “we don’t give a **** that you’re the son of some all powerful wizard, no, you can’t do that, you aren’t special”

    - They get turned off by the environment designed for a more mature audience

    - They get put off by the rampant toxicity

  9. Most of the current Minecraft player base is like twelve. LOTC is designed for a more mature audience, and this can be a big turnoff. Take a look at servers like creative-fun or go onto the roleplay section of planetminecraft. That is the "role-play" most Minecraft players are familiar with. They aren't used to a "serious rp environment like ours." Because mommy and daddy told them they were special they are like "uwu I'm a magical dark fairy unicorn". When they discover the server and try to bring the **** over from their "casual rp servers" over, they usually get shat on. When they realize that no one gives a **** about how "special" they think they are they end up quitting.

The Oath of the Medic's Guild

    - I will uphold my responsibilities and honors as a practitioner of the healing arts
    - I will do no undue harm to the patient
    - I will not be ashamed to say "I know not" or call in my fellow brethren when their skills may be required for a patient's recovery
    - I will respect the medical gains of the physicians in the steps I walk and will gladly share this knowledge with my brethren and those who are to follow
    - I will not play God and recognize I am also mortal
    - I will put the servitude to the well-being of my patient over a desire for fame, position, or coin
    - I will welcome members of the guild to my clinic in assistance of a patient, but I will also remain respectful and humble of my hosts when not in my home clinic
    - I will remember that I still remain a member of society with special obligations to all  and am not above anyone in any way
    - I will remember I am not merely treating symptoms or disease but a suffering human being who needs our empathy and utmost care
    - I will solemnly uphold these tenets and swear that I walk this path not for personal privilege or status but rather for the dutiful service to all, no matter who they may be.
