What does the shrine tend to look like? Also which cities are canonist?

I am trying to build a Canonist church/temple/chapel/whatever term is used (seriously, what term is used?!) but I am not certain what its supposed to look like. From how its written I am getting a christian church type feel, but am not certain. Can I get confirmation as to this, or perhaps if one knows where one already is made so I can swing by and take a peek, I would appreciate it.
