Renant was born an orphan, always lived by himself in the crowded city of Senntisten. One day when he tried to steal a hot pie in a deserted looking house he was caught by an elderly man named Fulk Lancerrey, later he took Renant in as a pity. Fulk was a master blacksmith, he took orders from knights and lords alike, he taught him many things from blacksmith to dueling. Renant owed him everything. Sadly Fulk passed away from food poisoning. He took the name Lancerrey as his last name as a remembrance of his past father figure.
