Baeligh is a fellow with a chip on his shoulder. Every since he was born all he can remember is people making fun of him because of his name. His great grandfather, Baeligh the Hawkeye, was an Orenian foot soldier under King Oliver Savoie with a reputation for having – of all things, very good vision. In this way, Baeligh failed to inherit this trait from his great grandpappy but managed to be named after him; something that present day Baeligh has never heard the end of. Baeligh is a girls name apparently. Born to a drunkard (named Baeligh) and a *****, Baeligh was sold off as soon as his father realized he had a bum eye, and was not fit for sailing , as was his fathers profession. Living in slavery in the Orcish Krug was by no means an easy way to grow up, but as he was apt to do Baeligh simply kept his head down and did what he was asked, never refusing a task. He did this until the tender age of 18 year old, when one day – fearing retribution for smashing in another slaves face who seemed to never get fail to get a laugh from Baelighs feminine name, Baeligh ran off into the wilderness , managing to escape and he never looked back.
Hungry, tired, and in every way a vagrant, for years Baeligh trudged around Atlas for several years as a vagabond until one day, his luck changed. He realized that after all this time, there was likely not a single person alive who knew that Baeligh was his given name. Baeligh could not believe it had taken him a full seven years to realize this but then again, he did not come from the most intelligent line of individuals. Filled with a new sense of purpose and reinvigorating appreciation for life, the man who would henceforth be known as Baeleigh with an “e” trudged off, deciding to make his fortune and a name for himself.
