Aerin was born into a family of snow elves that were known in Fenn to be some of the “lowest of the low” due to her great grandfather having slipped gradually into a fit of pure insanity during the journey into the far North and nearly killing a trio of boys, staining the last name they once shared. This played a minor role in a school for special defenses being built in the city, and eventually that itself evolved into a training program and a large focus on military aspects being brought into the town. When Aerin was thirteen she decided she didn’t want to join the military, as she wasn’t very strong due to her mother’s rather pacifistic ways and knew that she only had two years before her father would force her into the training program. She ran away and was taken in by an older elf somewhere on the edge of the city until the elf was forced into the military. Aerin now lives a somewhat secretive lifestyle, avoiding getting too close to anyone or letting anyone get too close to her.
