HOU-KHA TREATY

Hereby, this document formalizes the end of the disputes between the race of the Hou-Zis and the race of the Khas, ceasing the conflict between their main organizations and encouraging all the members of these races to maintain a peaceful relationship from here onward.

The main capsules that are agreed upon are the following, all of them will have an immediate effect from here on

• The leaders of both races will maintain communication with the objective of resolving their differences.
•  In the event that a member of one of the parties harms a member of the other, it should be punished, the punishment being agreed between both parts
• Both parties commit to share knowledge, looking to grow together
• If one of the two parties is threatened by an external factor, the other party will offer refuge
• A commercial route will be established between both
• Both races will collaborate in case an offender seeks refuge in their territories
• Both parties will respect each other’s religious views and allow worship in a respectful manner

The Liao family has always existed since even the ancient history of the Hou-Zi, however during those times, they were only minor nobles compared to other families at the time, controlling only small pieces of land, it was not until recent years that Liao risen to being relevant again in Hou-Zi culture. Most of Liao history has been lost after the fall of the Hou-Empire, but past and present family heads have been able to piece together with remnants of historical records found they’ve determined. Liao has always been a welcoming family taking in Hou-Zi that have proven themselves to the family head allowing them to dawn the surname Liao, however a lineage of original pureblood still are present within the family, a pure blood Liao is usually a bulkier Fei-Zhu, no colour represents them.

 The Jade Dao, the signature symbol of the Liao family is believed to originate from ancient times during the Jade Wars, a series of wars fought between Hou-Zi after their surrender to the Elven Alliance. It is thought to have come from the Liao family taking a sharp turn towards being a militaristic powerhouse, becoming a dominant power in their region, however the Jade Wars soon ended, and all that power was quickly lost when the Hou-Shen left the Hou-Zi and scattered. During those years the Liao family layed lowed not seeking to do anything, this continued on until the Hou-Zi started to recover from what happened and finally returned officially in the continent of Arcas. The Liao family still supports the military, less so than they have in the past, supporting the military in most ways it can, encouraging recruitment to it’s member, but still accepting of other paths, such as cultural and historic values, and most importantly understanding the mystery of Chi magic.

However Liao still hold some cultural parts to them that are unique, maintaining a warrior-scholar type of focus.These traditions are shown in the fact most Liao Hou worth their salt will usually be adorned in armor even while not in direct combat, this armor is rarely removed except for special for special circumstances such as, rituals, sporting events and bathing.

OOC INFORMATION

 this means that Liao, will take any Hou-zi that want to convert to a different family, and will hold ceremony to conduct this irply, but you can still be born into the family as a pure blood, this usually means that you are a Fei-Zhu of a height usually around 6”3, 3 inches above the average Fei-Zhu, and being more average built opposed to Fei-Zhu's being naturally skinny, however this means that you are slower than the normal Fei-Zhu, a pureblood – non pureblood mix would be accepted as a Liao at birth.

Briefly explain the lore behind this construct or creature:

The Hou-Zi are a race of monkey-like people who began as simple monkeys who were extremely primitive at their origins being no better then a common animal. The daemon Metzli who was roaming the island of Aslu searching for a something that could be her servant. The daemon ultimately decided to try giving a bestial race some advanced intelligence beyond their original primitive instincts, the daemon tried the monkeys on the island who managed to entertain the daemon, because the monkeys were able organize themselves more efficiently, in hunting and they were quick. The daemon liked this very much and began giving them intelligence, she began with a monkey who was clearly who was miles above the rest, this monkey became Hou-Shen, a legendary Hou-Zi making him known as the God King of the Hou-Zi. Hou-Shen later serving loyal to Metzli found a great empire and advanced the race rapidly becoming a fully-fledged civilization in only 4 years they built enormous palaces and founding their empire, the Hou-zi empire. 
 

 He later became the base for the Shenjiao, one of the two popular religions of the Hou-zi, this religion also featured Hou-Shen's three sons, Hou-Da, Hou-Xiao and Hou-Wang, these three brothers were also a pantheon and respected Hou-zi in their own rights, representing the three-sub species of the Hou-zi those being Hei-Zu, Fei-Zu and Laobai-Zu, a major part of Shenjiao is that when a Hou-Zi dies they rise up to the jade kingdom to join Hou-Shen, honoring the spirits is another part of Shenjiao by leaving out gifts and burning incense to summon the dead spirits.  

However, there is also another religion in the Hou-zi's culture, that being Hua-Jiao or the path to enlightenment, this was started by a prophet named Hualian, Hua-Jiao teaches for 4 truths, by following these 4 truths you could achieve enlightenment, giving it the name, This secondary religion was met with harsh feedback by the imperial court for being a threat to Shenjiao and was outlawed. Chen-Zhànfàn as a Fei-Zhu is a firm believer in Shenjiao, as he believes in upholding the law and respecting the spirits of the dead. 

Chen-Zhànfàn is of the Fei-Zu subspecies of Hou-zi, Fei-Zu are known for being the longest lived and brightly colorful, Chen-Zhànfàn shows this with sky blue fur covering most of his body, there is also yellow patches of fur on his stomach area. Fei-Zu are also taller and slenderer then the average Laobai-Zu who make up the majority and in their culture they value the finer luxuries in life such as arts and craftsmanship above everything else, they’re known for also have professions in the arts because of this such as poets, artists and music. However, they won’t ignore anything those as anything that require masterful skill and use of your mind is worth it to them.
