Orik happened to be amongst the number of his clan who left the city of Kal'Tarak, sick of the inner strife that was seeping out of the political circles and longing for a change of scenery. Having no desire to settle down in any particular area, he spent some time exploring and trapping the wilderness of Atlas, stopping at a tavern every now and then when the loneliness caught up with him, and to sell what wares he gained. After doing this for a number of years, there came one night when, during one of his random tavern visits, and from the depths of his tankard, he overheard tell of the regathering of his clan near the sacked city that he had once called home. A sudden longing came over him to return, to find and reunite with old friends and familiar faces, to those whom he considered family. He determined to set out the following morning.
