Castali was born in the later days of old Haelun’or. As a child, she would act out a lot, trying to help impures, saying hello to humans, and even attempting to adopt a dog. Her parents were purists, so, of course, they wanted to teach her the right way to act. They did this by bribing other children to call her names, leaving her emotionally scarred. Then, something expected happened. The September Prince destroyed Haelun’or, and with it, her family inside their home. Her parents had not evacuated in time, but she had been swimming in the ocean and knocked out by a piece of debris, washing off on the shore. When she woke up, she found refuge with a human caravan, only coming back when she heard Haelun’or had been born again.
