Alwyn was an only child to a widowed mother. He and his mother Ferreth Vicartaa lived in the town of Daeland. His father was killed in the Atlas Coalition War. Word said that he took an arrow to the throat and bled out with a letter from his wife in his hand. But before the war the family was a renowned agriculture and hunting gatherers. Alwyn’s father would show him how to grow crops faster using materials from bone meal and dirt. He would also show him how to be a skilled marksman with his fathers bow. Alwyn constantly asked about his father’s bow, to which his father would reply “It’s a bow that your great great grandfather Alurcio discovered in the Yati Wastelands. It is a bow from ancient Orcish times.” On the handle of the bow the letters ZEPHYR were engraved on it. After news of his father Alwyn took charge of the farm land while his mother found ways to make coin. Alwyn would hunt deer and fox, and grow wheat and carrots to sell. But the taxes and mortgage on their family house was to much for them both. Soon they were evicted and had to move to the City of Marna where his mother took on prostitution at a brothel house to support Alwyn. Alwyn’s mother would come home with bruises on her body, which Alwyn would take care of the person who inflicted it on his poor mother. On the side Alwyn would hunt toward his old town and kill small game with his father’s bow which he had inherited before his father left for the war. He would skin his kill and sell the fur for any amount of coin. Soon Alwyn got his mother and him a place in a small compact place with the money had made by selling his fur. But one night Alwyn’s mother never came home one night from work. Alwyn went to the brothel house to ask anyone there if they had seen her. Many said that she was with a buyer last night in the room. Alwyn asked for the room and went to investigate. Alwyn knocked on the door before entering to see a gruesome sight of his mother. She was half naked with her neck slit with multiple stab wounds to her chest and the dagger was left in her stomach. Alwyn was filled with rage and sorrow. He rushed downstairs and demanded to know who the buyer was. The brothel girls stammered and told him the name of the buyer. It was an Orc. His name was Gar’mak, but he went by the name of Gar’mak, the Gutsplitter. The name sounded familiar, he heard of orcs saying that he was an orc chief in the nearby settlement just outside of Marna. Alone and filled with sorrow with the realization of having no kin alive drove Alwyn to depression. After a night of drinking strong mead, he tumbled back to his house. Alwyn had a vivid dream he saw where the orc stronghold was. It showed him being pinpoint with his bow and driving an arrow through Gar’mak’s eyeball from 1000 yards away with Zephyr. Alwyn woke up in a cold sweat. Trusting his vivid dream he grabbed his quiver and his bow and headed south of the city. Alwyn could tell he was getting close. He found patrols of orcs walking the road just a few miles outside of the town. Then Alwyn came across a raided caravan. The chests were looted and the horses skinned and the elves were killed. Throats slit. Daggers in there guts. They werernt just orcs. They were bandits. From the conclusion Alwyn was fit with rage. He clenched his bow tight. He sprinted down the road and into the grassy forest. Not long after he found the stronghold. He saw Gar’mak surrounded by elven woman. He was counting his coin from the raid he just underwent. Alwyn’s head was hot. He quickly pulled and arrow from his quiver. Knocked the arrow to his bow. Closed his eyes. Breathed deeply. Opened his eyes and released the arrow. 5 seconds had passed then Gar’mak fell. Blood sprayed all over the elven woman and all over his valuable coin. The arrow had went through the orc’s eye and went straight through. Alwyn then walked back to the city of Marna and told the city guards of what was going on and gave them directions to the orc stronghold. The next day guards came to Alwyn’s house to thank him. The orc he had just killed had a bounty of 1,000 coin on his head and he was using a fake name to gain access to major towns to pillage. With that Alwyn took his new coin and decided to wander the wilderness and try to start a new life in his old town where he grew up in. Hoping to start a new farm.
