Berri Hazel Myth born to a poor family in the slums of a small village grew up to recognize wealth as power. She never went to school other than a home school by her mother and knowing her father would always be working. Being the little girl she was, she was always very sneaky and sly. When she would play games with her friends she always dreamed of being the one to gain wealth and not abuse its power as she saw many before her do. Little did she know that this would grow into greed. She would learn about lies, trickery, and thievery. Her father catching what she was starting to do and worrying about her, he began to teach her of hard work and morals. Not listening to him she would go out on the streets and learn to haggle, barter, and get things her way. One day a group of bandits thought to take her in to use her for her small stature. They would require her tasks such as stealing from local shops and planting miscellaneous items to get that specific shop in trouble while they robbed it of other items as it was closed down for investigation. She started to join in on heists, for that they had to make her an alias to be known by so she wasn’t caught. Seeing her small frame and quickness about her, someone mentioned a fox being her persona. From that day on she was known as fox among her friends. Then, there was a planned heist on a small local shop owner’s home. They assumed since he had a shop he must have nice things in his home too right? Well getting there, Fox realized this was her neighborhood, then her road, then her place of residence. She new her father was a shopkeeper but didn’t know they meant her own fathers’. Upon realization she didn’t want to disappoint her friends so she offered to do this heist herself which was unanimously struck down. Her friends began to break into his home and start looting anything they saw some type of value in. Scrambling to images and paintings leading to her she would try her best to hide what she could. Then, just then, light began to glow down the hall and make its way closer. She heard her father call out “Hello?” from the candle lit hallway. Before she could do anything about it she noticed the flickering candle was lowering before hearing a large clash. Wolf who was the leader of the heist that day rushed away from the commotion before an echoing yell rushed through the house after them. Everyone else rushing out of the house picking up and gathering what they could before running down the street in the shadows of night. In that moment Fox broke down into tears quickly running to her father down the hall past all of the ransacked furniture. Calling out for her dad she heard her mother scream at the sight, noticing the light from the candle was growing brighter and brighter. She got to the source and noticed her father laying on the ground bleeding from a makeshift dagger being in his side. Blood covering the ground around him but also being seared from the candles growing flame that soon turned into a fire. Panic ran over her as seconds felt like minutes and minutes felt like hours. Tears streaming down her face as her mother called out for her and rushing towards the door collecting what was her child from the flames ripping apart her house and engulfing her fathers limp body. That night that was meant to be fun and revenge for her wealth status was singed into her mind forever. From that night she gave up everything from the gang life she led to help her mother run her fathers shop. She went to authority and reported the gang of kids who took everything from her. She gave up her education from her mother to learn about marketing and selling products in a true fashion and warding off any bad news. She worked hard late nights when her mother would sleep in the back room on the floor surrounded by her tears for her late husband. Fox never knew if her mother found out the truth but Fox began to work hard to fix what she destroyed. Weeks went by and she noticed her mother was falling into a deep depression. Weeks turned into months in which her mother only got worse. She lost her glow, her smile, her faith. All of her hopes and dreams shattered in one night that she would never forget. Berri noticed burns on her mother that turned to scars around her legs where she rushed Berri out of the fire and through the rubble. She see’s those scars and blames herself which grew a self hatred and planted a seed deep into her soul that would only grow over time. Years passed and Berri only became more humble, honest, and outstanding through following her fathers morals and teachings in which she didn’t mind in the past. As Berri grew up, her mother would noticeably get better as the widow came out of grief and mourning. Berri, happy her mother was better was only happy on the outside to others. Deep down her depression and hatred festered into a burning fire that would only show when she saw gangs and hooligans on the street. Secretly Berri would study magic but not able to use or cast it. She wants to someday learn it to get an upper hand on the gangs from the slums in which she despised. Learning how to flip the tables, she used everything she new about thievery and merchantry combining them to keep her shop safe. She became one of the best merchants in her town then her city trying to make her father proud. Her fathers shop was the safest shop and the best family ran business in the city. She was able to buy a new house for her and her mother, then dedicated her time to studies and charity for the less fortunate. Finally becoming an adult in the eyes of the law, she decided to venture off to share her business with people beyond her city. Her mother understandingly gave her the locket she has held onto for years that was an anniversary gift to her from her now late husband. Inside the locket was a photo of the two in their early years of love. Berri laying her eyes upon the locket succumb to the tears and grief. Taking the locket holding it as her now most prized possession to never forget what her parents look like and how much she has accomplished for them on her journey. She packed up everything she needed and headed off from city to city and sometimes small towns, sharing her goods and merchantry morals among the people that shopped from her. Daily, Berri would look at the locket her mother gave her as inspiration to keep going. One day hoping to return to her mother she would write her from each town and city she stopped at to update her mother about her new life as a vagabond merchant.
