Vesemir Arianrhod was born of mixed heritage between a woodland father and a high elf mother. The relationship between his parents was an odd one. His father fell madly in love with his mother after having been given the task of collecting herbs for her study within the forest that only a woodland elf familiar with the forest would know to find. Vesemir's mother saw his father as an opportunity to study his lesser heritage in order of understanding the more Tribal (In her views) science that those of lesser heritage could produce as she also enjoyed the fact that he was infatuated with her. She took the opportunity of their relationship to study the birth of a halfling while also performing experiments and eventually when her curiosity was satisfied, she turned her back onto the child and his father. Eventually, Ves grew very ill, and his father tried constantly reaching out to his mother in the hopes she could get the necessary herbs to treat him or at least afford to get someone capable of helping him because it was her own child. But his pleads were met with silence before she stated that she merely wanted to satisfy her curiosity but did enjoy how infatuated the father was with her as in her views it was only right that people born of lesser races should look up to high elves. So, the father took out on his own to retrieve the herbs which were dangerous as is and upon his return, it was noted that he too had been affected by the same illness Ves had but he only could retrieve enough to treat one person. As a result, his father passed of the illness, and Ves was taken in by the local forest growing up to fear betrayal and keeping a closed-off demeanor. Vesemir was eventually taken in by the wood elves community where he remained more closed off not because of the death of his father specifically but out of fear of letting someone in only to be betrayed again.
