History Jeremiah di Silvari grew up simply upon his family's farm in Elysium, accustomed to the lack his parents debt forced upon him. He would grow up as any other child would, dreaming of warfare and rescuing the beautiful maiden. He would fall in love for the first time at the age of sixteen, with a woman named Antoinette. A farmer's child, like himself, they would spend hours simply in each other's presence, talking about what they desired from the future. His world came crashing down when his family was evicted from their farm for their inability to pay the yearly tax. Thrown out into the world at age seventeen, he received what he believed was a vision in his sleep, commanding him to abandon his family and wander the lands in the name of the Creator. He would soon be stripped of his boyish ways, for he encountered the hut of an elderly knight. Caught red-handed attempting to filch bread from it, he was roughly beaten and pressed into servitude. For two years he laboured under the wizened soldier, being forged into a man in what some would consider barbaric methods. He was soon released from his service, and found his way to the city of Kingston, the capital of Salvus. Salvus, it was here that he met the patriarch, Adam di Silvari. At the time it was fortuitous, it soon turned ruinous for him, during the minor “Silver Rebellion,” in which Adam sought to conquer the elven city of Darkhaven through a proxy. He was discovered through unknown means, and the then esquired Jeremiah paid for his distant relation's treason. He was executed brutally by Ser Darius “the Lion” de Nurem. After his execution, he was married off to the impure high elf Azatae Ith'ael, as punishment for daring to question Adam's leadership. After the marriage ceremony concluded, Adam smugly revealed her pregnancy to him. In rebellion against Adam's plan to disgrace him, he took his wife into the wildlands until she gave birth. The child was adopted quietly, and named for her grandfather. Mere days after the birth, a curious visitor paid them a call. If Jeremiah were to join his endeavor to resurrect the Dragon Guard, he would be not only a leader, but pardoned of the crime he did not commit. After three days of contemplation, it was taken. Jeremiah was off to Abresi in secret, leaving Azatae behind but for a little while. Unfortunately, it was a beautiful betrayal. Having been promised the impossible, he was slain in the middle of the tavern by men who had once been his allies. Despair warped his soul, twisting it out of the Monk's grasp, and rendering him a spirit, left to wander the earth until his wrongs are finally made right. Artwork
